About: I absolutely love dog sitting and spending time with dogs. I've taken care of older animals as well, my own is 11 and has medications. I have cat sat for cats over 15 that are skittish and hard to feed with strict medication regiments. If requested I can happily do small cleaning chores around the house without complaint. I have taken care of cats as well; specifically one that was in its 20s and had to be given medicine every 12 hours crushed & mixed in cat food. I'm currently a student and have class for a short period of time 4 days a week and I also work, as of right now only 3 days a week. But I can work around my schedule to make sure your dog is taken care of. If I am not able to, I promise you I will let you know! About: I’ve taken care of my pets my whole life, including my cat Gracie Lou, chow sharpie mix Sunshine and my ball python Klaus for the past eight years. I’ve fostered kittens, volunteered at the animal shelter and pet sit for friends cats growing up. I love animals and I’m happy to care for them! Everyday I make sure my three pets have clean water and food (except the ball python they only eat once a month) I play with my cat and dog every day. I work Friday & Saturday at 6PM but other than that I have full availability. I would make sure they get clean water, food and play time as those are essential. I love to take dogs on walks as many times are needed. I’d make sure that the kitty litter box is clean.

About: At the age of 6, I began to regularly foster newborn kittens with my mom along with taking care of cats in general around my town and fell in love with taking care of them and learning about them. I started to get little information books about cats and learn more about their mannerisms, etc. I'm currently a college student who runs a very small crochet business and all of my classes are online so my availability is definitely very open to be able to take care of your furry friend! I grew up homeschooled and something that my mom had me do very young was fostering kittens and taking care of dogs that were lost or didn't have a home. We also would watch this series called, Dog Whisperer with Cesar Millan and sometimes I would independently watch episodes of My Cat from Hell on YouTube. Something that I noticed when watching these shows is that the animal is typically never actually misbehaved but instead misunderstood. I feel as if being a good sitter is being empathic to every single animal and listening to their wants and needs and although there is a small language barrier, it is important to know that they are always communicating with us. There are very subtle movements that can portray whether an animal is having fun, hungry, distressed, etc. and that's something that I always try to pay attention to with animals to make sure that they feel safe and content. I believe leading with your intuition is something that you must do and to tell whether an animal wants enrichment or to relax. I will always strive to provide a safe and most comfortable environment for them. Also, I definitely understand the fear of allowing someone to watch your pet (I've definitely felt that way when leaving on vacation for my cats) and I want to give you everything that I expect from a sitter. Always a helping hand in unexpected situations. I never want to take people away from their own busy schedules when something unexpected occurs, but Jaya has always been able to accommodate and has been great with the animals she has watched for us. You won’t regret having her as a sitter.
I needed a last minute sitter as I was traveling out of the country and Katherine went above and beyond to help and was extremely communicative while I was away. Visited my cat twice a day, made sure she was happy, and worked with all of her needs. She even went out of her way to get my cat things I didn’t ask for and we really appreciated that.
