I believe that pets are part of the family - and so I treat them as such. If I’m lucky enough to be chosen to care for your pet(s), I guarantee that they will get lots of love and attention, and all of their needs will be met! For any of my visits, my motto is to leave things better than when I arrived. I care for all pets and homes as if they are my own. This includes (but is not limited to): cleaning food and water bowls, brushing pets (if they like it), thoroughly cleaning any messes they have made, vacuuming and/or mopping play areas or litter boxes, wiping down their coats or feet before coming inside (especially on rainy days), etc. I’m happy to accommodate any additional requests you may have, just ask! Typical examples include bringing in the mail or packages, watering plants, emptying dehumidifiers and turning on / off any lights. I intend to leave your home with a happy pet and as tidy as possible - because no one likes to walk in the door from a trip or a long day and immediately feel like they immediately have to clean up fur, food or litter.

Information Stacie W. would like to know about your pet

I prefer to have a meet and greet with you and your pet(s) prior to my first visit. I believe it’s important for me to meet your pet(s) with their human to ease any anxiety they may have and see that I’m an “ok” person. That way they don’t feel like an unknown person is invading their space when I come alone! Prior to my visits, please let me know if your pet has any special needs, behaviors, injuries or medications. This includes if your pet has a special diet, food allergy or you don’t allow treats. I would also like to know any commands you use and behaviors you want me to adhere to. For example, I absolutely welcome puppy kisses and don’t mind dogs jumping up on me if they’re excited. However, if this is a behavior you don’t allow for your pup, I’d prefer to stick to your rules and routines and avoid confusion for them. For me as a sitter specifically, it’s also important for me to know if you or your pet is not comfortable with children. As a stay at home parent, there are some days my daughter may need to be with me. These are typically no school days, early release days, school breaks, etc. She has been helping me care for pets of all ages and care levels, our own as well as others, her whole life. She was taught to be cautious and gentle with all pets. However, if she is with me on any of my visits, she is never left alone with any pet, all care will be handled by me and she does not approach or touch an animal unless I’ve told her she can and the pet has had time to sniff around and check her out. If you are uncomfortable with the possibility of my daughter accompanying me on your visits, I completely understand and can have a plan in place prior to your visits or help you find another sitter.

A typical day

My standard drop-in visit (for a dog or cat) includes: - Taking any pups outside multiple times to potty. I have a minimum of at least 2 potty breaks - One at the beginning of my visit and one at the end. Depending on the dog, like smaller breeds or younger / senior pups, I usually take them out more than that. - Refreshing all food and water bowls, and washing them if necessary. - Cleaning litter boxes, replacing potty pads, cleaning up any messes. - Fetching, cuddling, brushing, taking them for a walk, general play and attention. My goal is to get their energy out and leave them ready for a nap! - For puppies or dogs-in-training, I’ll assist in using / practicing the commands you’re using. - Give your pet unlimited pets, scratches, and belly rubs. - Tidying up play, food and litter areas. - Multiple pictures of your sweet pet to send you from our time together. Although this is a “typical” visit, each of my visits is customized depending on both you and your pets wants and needs.

Pet care experience

Personally, I’ve never lived a life without a pet companion, and I never plan to. 😉 I may or may not have snuck my pet hamsters into my college dorm back in the day. Currently, I have 4 cats and 1 small pup. I’ve cared for many different types of pets throughout my life. Aside from dogs and cats, I have experience with tortoises, rabbits, hamsters, Guinea pigs, bearded dragons and other lizards, ferrets, fish, Macaws and other birds. I also have experience with the many stages of a pets life including puppy and kitten care, training, senior care, thyroid and other sick / treatment care, special needs and medications during cancer treatments, injuries, illnesses and other general issues that may come about. I’ve assisted in care for my clients and their pets in emergency cases and non-urgent situations such as, taking to and/or picking up from vet appointments, allergy appointments, physical therapy appointments and grooming appointments. Whether you live locally and have long work days, a quick work trip, an all day event or bringing home a new pet that can’t be left alone too long… Or if you are just vacationing and need someone to check in on your furry friend while you’re soaking up the sun and going on adventures, I’m here for you. 🙂 My goal In life is to become best friends with every animal I meet. You can trust that I’ll treat and care for your pets as if they’re my own and all instructions will be followed. If I encounter a situation that is “out of the norm” - I will always reach out to confirm how to handle it before ending a visit. I strive to over deliver and give you peace of mind knowing that your pet is being loved on and well cared for.

Stacie was absolutely amazing and truly went above and beyond for our pup. This was our first time using Rover, and she made the entire experience so easy and stress-free. From start to finish, she was reliable, communicative, and made us feel completely comfortable leaving our boy at home in her care while she handled his walks and feedings. We especially loved receiving a detailed report card, it was such a thoughtful touch and a wonderful surprise. It’s the little things that make all the difference! We would highly recommend Stacie to anyone and will definitely be booking her again in the future.🐾 💕

Most amazing service, she was able to come an extra time to help when we had a delay. Very sweet to my dog Luna and played with her so she wouldn’t feel alone. Most definitely recommend.
