Anthony jumped into action when we needed a last minute dog walker when going out of town. He was very communicative and clearly enjoyed the time with our pup. Looking forward to booking him again and knowing Finley is in good hands!

We sure are pleased with Jaimee’s services. She has a wonderful calm and friendly nature, her love of all manner of critters shines forth. Our dog Bentley takes a short while to warm up to someone, and she handled that like the professional she is. Once he warmed up to her, and boy did he, then he tried testing her - like jumping on the couch next to her, and she immediately gave him the command “Off!” And he hesitated she reached for a squirt bottle and he immediately obeyed (we had mentioned this in our initial intro and she retained it word for word). She then took him for a walk and immediately picked up on his behaviors and signals (that is, knowing when he was testing her and when he was ready to go home). Jaimee handled him with firmness and love knowing when to apply which We are so comfortable trusting her and her reliability is the real cream of it all. She is punctual, thorough, and kind - and Bentley really enjoys her.

Our two dogs were happy and worn out after a half-hour walk with Belinda. She's scheduled to dog sit for us in a few weeks, and we're very confident she'll take great care of them.

Jill has been great with my 3 dogs. My youngest dog, Marley, was a little stand-offish at first. Jill was patient and was able to take him on his walks. They all enjoy getting out with Jill. She is responsive, flexible, and professional. I highly recommend Jill to take care of and walk your pets.

Lety was amazing! She was so patient and kind with my pup who is a bit reactive. She was also very attentive and communicative. She let me know how sofie was doing each time she checked on her and gave her lots of love and cuddles while we were away. Really appreciated her help when we were out of town and will definitely be requesting her for future services. Thank you, Lety!

About: Being the mother of my own fur-child in the past, I know how much your pets mean to your family. I am willing to help with frequent walks, feeding, play and activities and also vacation pet sitting. I adore all dogs ... breeds, size, age or medical condition doesn't matter. Since I haven't adopted another dog since mine passed over the rainbow bridge last year, I take great joy in taking care of other peoples dogs to fill that space only a puppy can fill. I'll be their "Aunt Holly"! And I promise I will take care of them like they are my own. My day job is done remotely, so I'm able to work from wherever I'm at during the day... even at your home with your pups as my assistants. We will be able to take our breaks outside or go for a walk or even play together. My time is very flexible.

About: I have over 3 years of experience caring for dogs and have worked as a pet sitter for three different families. During that time, I cared for dogs with different personalities, sizes, and energy levels. My responsibilities included feeding, providing companionship, administering basic care, and following each family’s specific routines and instructions. I am a college student with a flexible schedule, which allows me to dedicate quality time to the pets I care for. I truly enjoy being around dogs and love spending time walking, playing, and giving them the attention they deserve. I always make sure to follow each pet’s routine. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I carefully follow all instructions regarding feeding, medications, walks, and routines. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I respect both your home and your pet’s routine to help them feel comfortable and relaxed. I keep the environment clean, provide fresh water, monitor their well-being, and give them attention. I believe clear communication is essential, so I provide regular updates and photos throughout each visit.

About: I've been around dogs and other animals for as long as I can remember. Currently I have a kitten and 2 dogs who I walk regularly; one being a lab and the other a small poodle/chihuahua mix so I have experience with both small and big dog! I am also nanny and house/dog sit their sweet lab frequently! I have experience with puppies, kittens and elder animals as well! I currently work part time as a nanny and am in college taking online courses so I will have lots of time to dedicate to your furry family member! When I care for others animals I usually take some time to learn more about who the animal is according to their owner and shift my attention to fit each one I care for !

I have the flexibility to provide substantial care for pets. Cuddles are a must if they are needed. I can walk, feed, bathe, and give them all the love and attention they need. About: I absolutely love dogs. My families dog passed away last year, and while I can’t take on a dog of my own I would love to help care for yours! My family had a chihuahua, but my extended family has had doodles, mixed breeds, beagles, and I have cared for friends larger mixed breeds, boxers, and even little weenie dogs! I am a great resource as I am reliable, I have a flexible schedule as I am an online college student, and access to parking downtown which makes walks around the lake easily accessible! I’d love to get to help care for your pups! As I mentioned above I am an online college student. Most of my courses are asynchronous, allowing me to set my own schedule! I have a barista job as well but with minimal hours on the weekends. With that I can tailor my pet sitting to whatever is needed for each family! I started pet sitting beyond my families pets in high school, and since then have cared for so many of my friends pets. I know how important these pets are to each of them, and I want to do whatever I can to make their dogs happy. Again with having a very flexible schedule I can accommodate for more hands on pets. I love quality time, so I’d be happy to just be there for your pets. I am also really excited anytime I get to be outdoors in the beautiful weather in Austin. I would be happy to prioritize getting pets out into the world and being active myself! Ultimately I have a lot of time and energy to provide exactly the care your pet needs!

Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-on-one walking services.

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Palomar Mountain. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.

For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. Report cards require photos and can include a map of the walking route , total walk time, poop and pee breaks, and distance traveled, so you know exactly where your dog has been walking in Palomar Mountain.

Got specific details you'd like the dog walker to include? Message them in the app before your dog’s walk begins.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every walker on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

Yes, you can find walkers who have experience with handling special pet needs in Palomar Mountain. On Rover:

  • 94% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 97% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
