Monika was absolutely amazing with Rocky 😊 She was so sweet and loving towards him like he was her own pet. It was Rocky’s first day being home alone in a new house and I was so worried about how he’d be. But all my anxiety was eased immediately when I saw how Monika interacted with him. Even got down on the floor and played with him. She’s truly the best and I will definitely will be using her again!

My experience includes walking, feeding, playtime, companionship, and ensuring pets feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for while their owners are away. Pet care fits very naturally into my daily routine this summer because I have a very flexible schedule. I’m available for a variety of walking and drop-in times throughout the day and enjoy staying active and spending time with your pup. I do my best to stick to the routines each pet is most comfortable with to help them feel safe and more relaxed for while their owner is away. I prioritize and creating a calm and positive environment to make the experience as stress-free as possible for both pets and owners

About: My most extensive animal care period was working for the University of Wisconsin Veterinary School in Madison for ten years. What a treat! Adopted one Pomeranian while there. Now have a Jack Russell Terrior named Willie Nelson. I currently work part-time but that leaves plenty of time for caring for your pets. I only work at other job about 3 half-days. I will always be clear on my availability. I would love to come to your home to provide food and water, walk your dog, play with your cat or dog. I am a smart trustworthy and dependable lady who will take great care of your beloved pet and report back to you often.

About: I am a middle school math teacher for Lee County Schools! I work Monday-Friday, but have weekends free! I have been on Rover for about 4 year now! I really enjoy dog and cat sitting as a side job! I’m open to stay over night if needed. That’s why my house sitting rate is $40. My rate for not staying over night is $30. I do a lot of dog and cat sitting off of this app. So I have a lot more experience than what’s is on this app. Please feel free to ask me any questions you have about scheduling. I’ll be happy to discuss anything with you. It will be a great experience for all of us. Including our furry friends! I look forward to working with you and your pets! Thank you in advance! I am available after school and on weekends. I have a pretty steady and reliable schedule, so it’s easy to plan ahead and make adjustments. As I’m typing this, my cat is rubbing his face on my phone. I’d say my cat at home is pretty happy and spoiled. I think a really important part of pet care is having some sort of schedule, and being sure to put in time to give your pet attention.

  • 92% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 99% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
