“Greatly appreciate Sawyer watching our golden retriever… she is well taken care of (sometimes we think she doesn’t even miss us!). Sawyer is dependable and flexible—adjusting on the fly when plans change. Thank you Sawyer!!”

“Cindy was fantastic! She went above and beyond to make sure our fur baby felt comfortable while we were away. She was professional, punctual and made us feel 100% at ease while we were away. Highly recommended ❤️”

About: My name is Hope, I'm 30 years old. I have two dogs(Harrison, 3, and Ripley, 2). My boys are very playful, and loving. I also help care for my boyfriends cat. I do have a full time job, however I'm lucky enough to be able to start working pet sitting back into my life. I have previously been a kennel tech, and managed a doggy daycare/boarding kennel for seven years. I am certified in basic pet first aid, and CPR. My whole life I have had the pleasure of being around dogs, from yorkies to dobermans. I have experience with special diets, and food allergies as well as medication administration. I have minimal experience training dogs, and I am willing to work on basic house/leash training if needed. I look forward to meeting new pets! I work 630am to 230pm Monday through Friday. Daily I take care of my own pets. I'm hoping to fill my afternoons with puppy play dates, or afternoon dog walks. I have a fully fenced backyard in town, two friendly young dogs to play and keep your fur baby(or babies) some fun company. I do have crates available if anyone needs a "break", I do also allow pets on my furniture. We have an abundance of toys that my boys LOVE to share.

“Once again, Carissa has done a fantastic job with our home and pets! Definitely a 5 star sitter! Always so helpful and kind, and our pets just love her! Thank you so much, and we will see you again soon!”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was 10 and I am veterinary technician with a year of experience and I’m planning on getting my license in the fall! I also have some training experience and I have a pittie at home with some behavioral issues so I’m no stranger to difficult dogs! I do work a full time job at a vet clinic but I am available over nights, some weekdays and weekends to either stay with your fur baby or just stop in to let them out and feed them! I unfortunately cannot have dogs come to my house, but I am respectful and cleanly! I don’t mind staying at your house with your dog, cat, or any other animal you may have! I am great at reading animal body language and sticking to your animas routine! Your babies needs will all be met and more with me watching them!
About: I really enjoy spending time with animals. I’ve done long stays for a few people and take care of a dog at home. I am always willing to learn more and add to my resume of pet sitting. I am currently working a part time job. I work anywhere form 16-30 hours a week because i’m in retail. I am looking for something to fill the gaps!! Unfortunately I will not be able to care for animals in my home due to my family dog. She doesn’t do well with other animals. In the clients home I would follow all instructions given and spend lots of time with your pet, all while treating your home and your animal with the upmost respect.
About: I have had a dog almost my entire life with short breaks in-between, I have always taken care of my animals and before I was old enough to pay I'd tag along for vet visits ! I've always been the person to call for animals in my family, most recently I've watched my neighbors cat upstairs for 4 days or I've watched my step sisters medium sized dog for her multiple weekend away trips and lastly of the more recent I house/dog sat for a close friend of mine for a week with her two dogs! I'm not shy with bigger dogs I had a Pitbull/Lab mix and I now have a German Shepherd who has allergies that we take care of! I'm currently working part time making donuts overnight so I would be able to stop by after my shift ends early morning (typically 6:30-7am), after I wake up (early afternoon so 2pm), then evenings before my shift(before/ around 8pm) ! I'm available most days besides Sunday/Mondays with give and take! I always make sure pets are fed on time, they're taken out multiple times a day, even taken on walks when needed and of course playtime! I also do not mind having to give animals their oral meds or maybe some cream on the skin or medicine baths!
About: I have had plenty of animals of my own including but not limited to- cats, dogs, fish, lizards, turtles, birds, rabbits, chickens and other farm animals. I have house sat for many different types of families. Full farms, medically challenged pets, senior animals, young animals. I love them all dearly! I currently work from home Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, and some Saturdays. I cannot do overnights on Mondays and Tuesdays due to my work schedule. I am home almost daily and love to walk my pets and others before work, on my lunch, or after work. I do not have a fenced yard but I do have plenty of leashes and secured leads. We live on a slow dirt road. No pet, even mine, is ever outside unattended or unleashed. I will follow whatever rules are laid out for me regarding your home if I am caring for your animal in their space.
“I'm truly thankful to have met and hired Yushonda. I have watched over 100 dogs, and I mean it when I say she is a step above everyone else. Mara is dog aggressive and dismissive of people and very slow to build trust. Yushonda would not settle for good enough or merely being present in the house. She strived and worked hard to build that trust, working with Mara, making her presence known, and building trust at Mara's pace. I was shocked to hear Mara got comfortable enough to jump right in bed on the first night. I had expected at the end of the stay for our dog to maybe allow pets, instead she made a great new friend by the first day and asked for belly rubs, something she only does for 3 people. Yushonda instilled trust not only in Mara but also us. Without her, we would have not been able to have gone on our trip and been able to see family, relax, and be at ease. Send Yushonda a message, you and your fur baby will not regret it or think about hiring someone else. I am so happy to know we have someone that will care about our baby as much as we do. I'm so thankful to finally have someone I can whole heartedly recommend, with full confidence, to watch my client's pets and know she will live up to that recommendation and always go above and beyond.”

“Holly was so great with my geriatric dog. She even ran our dishwasher for us. She communicated on a regular basis and sent pictures so I didn't worry about my little old man. You can tell she loves dogs! I would book her again in a heart beat!!”
“Hannah was wonderful! We had a last minute need for a dogsitter, and she was able to accommodate our schedule in a pinch. She was a great communicator, super reliable, and our pups loved her!”

About: Hi, I have had dogs through most of my life and hope you'll give me the chance to take care of yours. I've taken care of many different breeds from the small but mighty Chihuahua to the large, majestic Newfoundland. Several friends and family have looked to me to not only watch their dogs but also to help train them. I personally know how it feels to have obligations that might take you away from your fur baby. I would love to be the positive addition to your dogs life in order for you to be able to go to work, a family event or go out on a date with the peace of mind that your dog is being handled with the love and care that you yourself would provide. I have every confidence that you and your dog will be very happy with the care I can provide.
About: What sets me apart is that I focus on being consistent, attentive, and calm with every pet I care for. I pay close attention to each pet’s individual routine and personality, so they feel comfortable and secure while their owner is away. I’m also patient with different needs, whether that’s energetic puppies who need structure and playtime or older pets who may need a slower pace and extra care. I make sure communication with pet owners is clear and reliable so they always know how their pet is doing. Pet care is a natural part of my daily routine because I’m very organized and consistent with my schedule. I’m comfortable handling feeding, walking, cleaning, playtime, and making sure pets feel safe and cared for. I enjoy being active and spending time with animals, so fitting pet care into my weekly routine feels rewarding rather than stressful. I make sure pets are comfortable, safe, and cared for by following their normal routine as closely as possible. In my home or a client’s home, I focus on feeding schedules, fresh water, walks, playtime, cleaning up after them, and giving them attention and companionship. I also pay close attention to their behavior and comfort level to make sure they’re happy and stress-free. If the owner has specific instructions, I always follow them carefully to make sure their pet receives the best care possible.

About: I've cared for several dogs and cats for friends and family, from basic care to 24/7 care. Grew up around animals as my mom is a vet I'm currently working part time from home, so I can easily work from anywhere from a laptop. Will only need to leave to grocery shop and feed my own cat I much prefer it when pet owners leave a written set of instructions I can follow to the letter, ensuring only the best care for your fur baby(s) and allowing you peace of mind on your travels.
About: I have owned pets my entire life. From a little shitzu to a big pitbull. I have watched friends and family's dogs over the years and now looking to help other people with their fur babies. I was a dental hygienist but due to my twins needing more support I have decided to become a stay at home mom. I figured I needed to find things to help keep me busy when they're in pre school and why not have it spent doing something I enjoy. Whatever your needs are for your Fur babies im all open ears. I want you to have trust with me with your animals. I'm a great communicator and will always respond and will send pictures !

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Owosso walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Owosso maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Owosso choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Owosso. On Rover:
- 93% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
