“Lisa and her family were wonderful. They took such great care of Holly, lots of care and cuddling, and sent a photo every night. We will definitely send her to them again!”

“Thank you so much, Karen, for taking such great care of Gigi! I was very worried because it was my first time leaving her with someone else, but Karen kept me updated the entire time by sending me pictures and videos of Gigi. It gave me so much peace of mind knowing she was in such good hands. Thank you again for everything, I truly appreciate it!”

About: My dog of 14 years just passed this year, and I am really missing the daily walks and time with him. I'm not ready for a new dog, but want to help others and spend time with their pups! I had my dog from when he was 8 weeks old all the way through his senior years (and health challenges!). I love all dogs! I work from home and have a super flexible schedule. I can come by during work days at many different times! I do have a toddler who is at daycare from 730am-5pm, it would be very unlikely for her to meet the dogs. If you want to do doggy daycare at my house, I am home all day and we can take lots of walks together. I have a small fenced patio, and then a quiet street for leash walks. In my house, I have a large crate if needed and dog gates at the top and bottom of the stairs.

“Ashley (and her husband) were amazing! Ashley could not have been more accommodating or sweeter to my two dogs. This was our first time using Rover and while we were very hesitant, it turned out to be a lifesaver and not the last time we will use the service. Ashley made us feel so comfortable about the whole thing and even sent multiple pics of our dogs playing with her dogs. Such a better experience than leaving them at the vet! I simply can't say enough good things - highly, highly recommended!”

“Megan was awesome! My pup didn’t want to go home! I received plenty of pictures while I was away and she made me feel like my puppy was in good hands. She will definitely be my go to sitter!”

“Wonderful and engaged sitter. Couldn’t have been better. Regular updates. Flexible with time constraints. Very communicative. Takes very good care of our Cindy!”

“Amy was great. My pup spent a week with her. Amy updated us through the week. Way better than putting her in a kennel with dogs barking all day. Highly recommend! Will definitely use her again.”

“Sarah and family are wonderful! Bailey had her first "vacation" with them this past weekend and obviously had a great time! Sarah sent some of the cutest pictures and Bailey was happy in every one! We will definitely being calling on Sarah again!”

“Priscilla was amazing!! We brought our bby Milo for a 4 day stay, and Milo had never been away from us so he was very nervous, scared when i left him. Priscilla was very reassuring by sending me pictures and updating me, first couple days he was sad 😞 but priscilla was able to let me FaceTime to let milo hear us and sure ebough after time he started warming up and would not leave priscillas side lol priscilla had alot of patience and did everything to make milo feel comfortable and she made it happen. Milo was playing and active as usual im so happy with Priscilla and her husband for taking care of my Milo .”

“Elisabeth and Gerald always provide a safe and fun home for our dogs… they sent lots of updates and photos/videos. We were at ease the whole time we were away! Thank you!!”

About: For the past 40 years, dogs have been the heart of my home and my greatest joy. I’ve lovingly cared for dogs of all sizes and breeds , from small purebreds like Pekingese to medium and large dogs including Chow Chows, Dobermans, Rottweilers, and various lovable mix breeds. Each dog has brought unique happiness and taught me so much about giving them the care, routine, exercise, and affection they need. I only take one dog at a time so I can give your pup my complete attention. When you leave your furry family member with me, they’ll be treated like my own showered with love in a calm, safe environment in my San Antonio home. Your dog will never be just another guest, they’ll be treated like family. First, I try to know more about your dog , normal schedule, favorite toys, commands, what they fear and what they like. Building trust is going to be essential so my focus would be to create a bond with your pet. Consistency, patience, and love is what’s going to get us there. Your dog will have their potty breaks, morning walk or play time I have a two bedroom condo, one bedroom is mostly used as an office, I also have a large living room with a large balcony with views of large mature trees where we have visits of birds and squirrels.
“I was very unsure if I wanted to leave my baby with a stranger but after reaching out to Iliana and seeing her background experience with dogs I decided to meet up with Iliana at a park where she met Khloe and spent sometime getting to know her before her stay. Iliana made sure to keep me updated by sending me pictures of Khloe while I was on my trip. 10/10 recommend booking with Iliana. She took good care of my baby girl and made sure she enjoyed her time by taking her on hikes. :) Thank you Iliana! Khloe had a blast!”

“Michael and Alice are great! I love the videos they send - I can tell my dog is having a great time and getting lots of good play time in with other dogs. Definitely recommend!”

“Norma was a godsend!! We took one of our friend’s pup who was having a hard time adjusting to our home. She took him in last minute and saved our weekend! The pup did great with no issues- which shows us that she was just the right fit for him. Look no further if you’re looking for a sitter!”
“I can’t say enough great things about Perla! She has watched my dog several times now, and every experience has been fantastic. It gives me so much peace of mind knowing my puppers is in such caring, capable hands. She’s incredibly reliable and always keeps me updated with messages and photos, which means the world to me when I’m away. My dog absolutely loves her and as soon as I get her leash and head for the car she knows where she’s going, and that says everything. I wouldn’t hesitate to book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, attentive, and genuinely caring with their pets.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Olmos Park
My dog is 11 years old and very skiddish. I can tell he loves staying with Mollie and Chance because he doesn’t try to follow me out when I leave. He just goes in and sits down. Mollie is the 1st person I check for availability and I absolutely recommend her services.

Mac and Mo truly enjoy their stays with Marti and Trixie. Marti alerted me to Mo licking her paws excessively and seemed itchy. I was able to pick up some meds and Mo has quickly settled down. I appreciate Marti paying attention to my dogs as if there were her own. Thanks, Marti! They are enjoying the cooler weather and so am I.
I needed care for Cosmo for a long weekend, and it was really important to me to find someone who was not only comfortable with dogs, but genuinely loved and cared for them. After reading LaTwana’s story and learning that she previously had a dog similar to Cosmo, I immediately felt more at ease. From the beginning, LaTwana was extremely communicative, sweet, and attentive. She sent me pictures and videos throughout the day, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. I could tell Cosmo felt warm, comfortable, and completely at home with her, and that meant everything to me! I’m so grateful I found LaTwana and would HIGHLY recommend her to anyone looking for someone they can truly trust with their dog. If you want peace of mind, great communication, and lots of cute photo and video updates, she’s your person! I’ll absolutely be booking with her again. ❤️🐾

It looked as though Thor settled right in and made himself at home! I’m so thankful he was the only one there as he does not like to share space with other animals. After the excitement of returning home he relaxed and was acting normal again very quickly which we are so thankful for. Thanks for all the update pictures to ease our minds!

Alana was fantastic with our dog, Jane! We really appreciated that she personalized Jane’s stay since she can be a little nervous in new situations. Also, the many picture updates (including a cute photo shoot) put us as ease to know Jane was having a great time. Jane can’t wait to go back!

Ciria was AMAZING. My only issue is that she doesn’t live where I live! Came here for a TDY and decided to board my dog last minute. She truly went above and beyond. She accommodated so much for us, was VERY attentive, and sent so many updates. I don’t leave reviews often, but I had to. Thank you for loving on Poppy!!

Veronika was amazing with my dog Jaxon. He has pretty bad anxiety when it comes to fireworks and storms, and she was incredibly patient, attentive, communicative, and caring throughout his stay. She went above and beyond to soothe him and make sure he was comfortable and doing okay. I really appreciated all the updates and the extra care she gave him during a stressful time. I would highly recommend Veronika, and I knew Jaxon was in great hands with her!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Olmos Park home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Olmos Park.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Olmos Park sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
