“Chris was great with my puppy! Very attentive to both my needs and my puppy’s needs during his visits. Great communication and photos to ease my nerves. I’m would highly recommend him for any of your pets needs!!”

“Nina is wonderful. She made me feel so safe leaving my 7 month old puppy. I was able to enjoy my vacation and my dog loved her. She has great character and is an educated woman. I was blessed to find her . I wish she lived closer to me.”

“Stefanie was amazing! Always kept me updated and was so communicative. My kitty cat loved her and I would absolutely recommend her in the future! An amazing sitter.”

“Maria was AMAZING! Our dog is really nervous around new people and she took such good care of him and made sure he had everything he needed. Will 100% rebook again”

“i never met elvia, only spoke on the phone, making arrangements for my dog. Having never met her, leaving my house keys was honestly a bit uncomfortable for me. however, given her excellent reviews, i decided to just trust and go for it. elvia came exactly on time, fed and played with my dog for a half hour and then left. everything went just as planned. her communication was great, which was essential, and put me at ease. i had a postive experience.”

“Wendy is super sweet and responsive to all of my messages ! She texts me pics and short videos & responds timely to all of my requests . She is attentive to my puppy even when the weather is a bit chilly and it’s mostly indoors apart from a potty break . I would book her again :)”

“We feel so lucky to have found David; truly, we only wish that we had found him sooner! He is reliable, considerate, and, most importantly, our dog LOVES him. Our dog is older, with some medical issues, and can be standoffish to new people but David won him over almost immediately. We always have complete confidence and peace of mind that our dog is well cared for.”

“Aaron has been an amazing sitter for my pets. I have an older lab and he has worked with him on several behavior issues and I see such a dramatic change in my dog! I highly recommend Aaron not only for pet sitting but training as well.”

“LisaLeigh really helped us out when we were in a bind. She was communicative and took great care of our two pups for the night. I will absolutely be calling her again!”
“Sarah is great! She took the job in a short notice and was very responsive with messages and instructions. Sarah visited my 1.5 year old cat three times and each time she wrote me a detailed description of the visit and also took tons of pictures. Because my cat always takes some litter out with him after doing his business, Sarah even swept and vacuumed the bathroom floor for me:). She also helped to feed wet food during her visit and refill dry food for the other days, which was exactly what I hoped for. With her tremendous knowledge and responsibilities, she gave me a lot of caring tips regarding nutrition. I couldn’t be more satisfied with her good service and would highly recommend her to anybody. Although my experience with Sarah was only limited to cat, I’m sure she is an excellent dog sitter as well with all the dedications she had shown. Thank you Sarah.”

“Michelle took great care of my dog when I was away. She was on time, communicative and responsive when needed. I’d highly recommend her to other local pet parents.”

“Ashley and Mauricio did a great job caring for Turmeric/Ric the cat. They sent lots of pictures playing with him and petting him each night we were away. I know he was very well cared for and it set my mind at ease! Will definitely book them again!!! Highly recommend!”

She spent a lot of time with Noodle, taking her for walks and playing with her. Noodle loves her. Claire is very professional and you can tell she loves dogs. Don't hesitate to book her. She's great. Daniela took good care of the cats. Setting up are communications are smooth and easy. Ad hoc requests on unexpected incidents were well taken care of. The house is clean after the sessions. Overall it was a great experience. Will request their help again in the future.

Cassidy was wonderful with our cat, Leo! She visited twice a day to take care of his feeding and cleanup, and she did an amazing job. She was incredibly reliable, punctual, and kept us completely at ease while we were away. It’s always tough leaving your pet behind, but knowing Cassidy was checking in made all the difference. Leo was happy, well-fed, and perfectly cared for. We will absolutely be hiring Cassidy again in the future and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring pet sitter!

Kamila is the best find I ever had for my cat. Lots of photos and detailed feedback. She looked after my cat like her own and can tell she truly is an animals lover. She checked in on time each day and I can tell from the photos that she had a bond with my cat. Will definitely use her again for my next trip!!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
