About: Ive been a professional dog walker for 7 years in my neighborhood. Everywhere I go they ask where are the dogs?? Ive had many satisfied clients. I have slots for more dogs daily. Small dogs are my preference since I have in a small area for them to play in. Overnights are fine too. I have a main play room in my space for smaller dogs. Large dogs may need an overnight pen to rest in overnight for dogs over 30 pounds.

“Barb provided fantastic care for my 2 needy pups. In addition, she was extremely communicative and flexible as I had to switch things up on her last minute. We'll definitely be repeat customers!”

“Judy was great. Met me downstairs right when I pulled up, asked ahead of time for me to bring any special toys, had plenty of different dog treats and asked which one I would prefer she give Charlie if any. She also sent pictures and updates throughout the day and was waiting for my downstairs (from her apartment) when I returned. Easy recommendation.”

“Tina & Jon were such wonderful hosts. Our puppy couldn't stop telling us how much fun she had running around in their big back fenced yard with their 2 fur babies. Tina & Jon took such great care of her. We highly recommend their services.”

“Liza made sure Beau was so cared for! She kept him entertained throughout the day and active. He felt so comfortable with her and she was wonderful to communicate with! I felt truly at ease leaving our pup with her.”

“Daniela was accommodating and terrific to work with. My puppy really enjoyed staying with her for daycare! We will be using Daniela’s services regularly :)”

“Karine is WONDERFUL! I was very anxious to drop off my dog Harry in a new place, but he had a BLAST! He seemed to really come out of his shell at Karine's. Karine also was incredibly responsive, thoughtful, and informative throughout the booking process & while Harry was at her home. As an anxious dog mom, she was the perfect sitter!”

“Yenis was amazing with our little pup Quincy! She was very communicative and took care of all his needs. He came home very happy and tuckered out after a fun and full day!”

“Leidy was very easy to work with. Flexible and accommodating. Our dog Kiko seems to have a good time as she is normally anxious of any thing new. We look forward to working with Leidy soon. Thank you very much .”

About: I’m the type of sitter who pays attention to the little things — routines, favorite toys, energy levels, and comfort needs. I’m comfortable caring for puppies, adult dogs, and seniors, and I adapt to what each pet needs. I believe pets do best when they feel safe, loved, and understood, and that’s the environment I strive to provide. Plus, you can expect plenty of updates and photos! Pets fit easily into my routine because I truly enjoy spending time with animals. I plan my schedule to make sure pets get the attention, exercise, care, and consistency they need — whether that’s walks, playtime, feeding, or just company and cuddles. I aim to keep their routine as normal as possible so they feel happy and comfortable. I care for pets by creating a safe, calm, and loving environment while following their normal routine as closely as possible. In my home, pets receive plenty of attention, supervised playtime, walks, feeding on schedule, and a comfortable space to relax and feel at home. In a client’s home, I respect their pet’s routine, environment, and instructions to help keep things familiar and stress-free. I pay close attention to each pet’s personality, energy level, dietary needs, and comfort, and I make sure owners receive regular updates and photos for peace of mind.
“Josie had such a lovely day with Clinton, his dog, and his son! She got lots of cuddles, time to roam around the fenced backyard, and plenty of window watching, three of her favorite things. Clinton communicated well and sent lots of great photos. I’ll definitely be bringing her back!”

“Ashley has taken care of my dog Zulu many times. She does a great job taking her on walks and allowing her to play with other dogs at the park. Also is very flexible with drop off and pick up times. Would highly recommend her to anybody looking for a sitter in Stamford area”

About: Hi there! I’m a certified therapy dog handler with over 13 years of experience caring for dogs of all breeds, sizes, and personalities. My lifelong passion for animals began when I was a little girl, and it’s grown into a fulfilling career centered on compassion, connection, and trust. I’ve worked in a doggy daycare known as Paws of Greenwich, volunteered with Adopt-A-Dog, and have hands-on experience with basic training—especially with rescue dogs who need a little extra patience and understanding. Having cared for three amazing dogs of my own (two of them rescues), I know how important it is to find someone who treats your pup like family. Whether it’s walks, playtime, cuddles, or calm companionship, your dog will always feel safe, loved, and cared for in my hands. 🐾 I’m currently a full-time dog sitter, dedicated to providing the highest level of care, attention, and love for your pets. Whether your pup enjoys outdoor adventures or cozy days at home, I tailor my care to their unique personality and needs. From scenic hikes and fun outings to quality playtime and cuddles, your dog will always feel happy, safe, and loved. Meet-and-greet fees: $25–$30 I will always follow any specific guidelines you have for your pet to ensure their routine and comfort are maintained. Typically, I take dogs outside at least three to four times a day, unless discussed otherwise or we’ve already enjoyed a long outdoor adventure that day. I’m happy to handle feeding, bathing, and any other needs for only $5-10 on top of the total cost, and will always making sure your furry friend feels safe, comfortable, and endlessly loved.
About: Hi! My name is Margaret & I have over 25 years of experience caring for pets, and I am working to raise the bar around pet care. I truly enjoy building relationships with my clients and work hard to ensure every pet care experience is positive! After spending over 20 years in the corporate world, I offer my clients professionalism, transparency and clear communication. If you feel like I might be a fit for you, please feel free to reach out to me for an introductory call. We will talk about your needs and requirements, and you will also have an opportunity to learn about me and how I work. So if you’re looking for a one-time engagement or a longer-term arrangement, I would love to hear from you! My schedule is generally flexible and can accommodate most needs. I’m currently enrolled in a virtual masters program and work from home, so I can provide pets a high level of attention and care. Pets in boarding/daycare in my home participate in all of our family activities (so long as they are pet safe). I also enjoy exercising and will take dogs in my care on long walks, nature hikes and outdoor activities. Note: My calendar is generally kept up to date, but I sometimes get last minute request that I haven’t had time to update in my Rover calendar. So it is always best to reach out to confirm my availability. I work to ensure my home environment is safe for both my resident cat and the animals in my care. - Boarded dogs will sleep either with or near me and have constant access to their bed, food, water and toys. - My backyard is big, open and partially fenced, allowing for supervised and tethered play. - Boarded cats will have exclusive access to my office, where they can eat, sleep and retreat into, if they wish. They are also encouraged to explore the rest of my home, as they wish. Please note: I do not allow my resident cat to interact with boarding cat(s) for everyone’s happiness and safety. To ensure engagements are safe and positive: 1) I require all new boarding and house sitting clients to have an introductory phone call with me before finalizing booking requests AND before meeting in person (if appropriate). - I also strongly advise that we have an in-person meeting at your home for all pet sitting engagements. 2) I have a resident cat and as such, all boarding / daycare pets must be cat safe, have low prey drive and/or have low reactivity.

I’ve volunteered and worked in animal rescue for years and have hands-on experience with dogs and cats of all breeds, sizes, temperaments, and medical needs. I share my home with three rescue pets (and my boyfriend): • A 3-year-old hound mix • A 5-year-old rescue cat • A blind senior chihuahua mix I work a 9-5 in manhattan, but I have a hybrid work schedule and am available most weekends for pet sitting! I’d love the chance to care for your pets and give them the safe, loving experience they deserve. I hope to meet you and your fur babies soon! AVAILABLE ON WEEKENDS! ( and most weeknights) I work a hybrid work schedule and am mostly working remote from home so I am available my work from home days as well!! I take my dog on lots of hikes on the local hiking trails, which he loves and can take your dog there too if you want! If you’re more comfortable with them just getting a simple walk around your neighborhood, I’m happy to accommodate that as well!

Daniela is so great. She got along with Bammie on the first day. She sent frequent updates of our pup enjoying his stay. She is also very flexible with our schedule. We had a church event that finished a little late and she was still able to accomodate. 100% recommend and will schedule her with Bammie again.

Judy was so kind, detail oriented, and trustworthy with my senior chihuahua. I left Milly with Judy for the day while I attended a conference. Judy provided routine photos and updates. I could tell Milly was clearly well taken care of when I picked her up - no anxiety

We love Yenis!! I couldn’t have asked for a better day care visit with her! She is so caring and attentive I felt so comfortable knowing she was going to give our 4 month old pup the same amount of love and care that we would! We can’t wait for our next daycare stay with her and Milo!

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CT ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
