Pet Sitting Old Palo Alto

About: I have extensive experience taking care of reactive and high-maintenance dogs, including my own. I am comfortable dealing with aggressive dogs and will do everything in my power to make your dog feel safe and relaxed on walks or while I keep them company at home. I have spent years cultivating a trusting relationship with my own senior rescue dog who requires special bathing and walking care in his old age and who was extremely anxious and aggressive with other dogs in his younger years. I have been a reliable dog-walker for friends and neighbors who trust me to take care of both their low- and high-needs dogs. I am very patient, and I understand that establishing a positive and trusting relationship with any animal takes time and effort. I look forward to meeting your wonderful pet! I am a PhD student at Stanford with a moderately flexible schedule. Typically I work 9-5 weekdays. For dog walking, it is easiest for me to walk in the later afternoon, starting around 4pm. I am open to house sitting as long as you live near Stanford campus (I have a bike, but no car). For pet sitting, I usually plan a short walk/play time in the morning, a longer walk in the late afternoon, and a short walk/play time in the evening. I am more flexible on weekends. I believe that building a relationship with pets takes time, and I am willing to put in the effort to establish and bond with your pet. This will make the experience better for both of us! I am happy to play with pets in the home and enjoy giving belly rubs too.

About: We’re an engaged couple living in East Palo Alto and looking for more opportunities to spend quality time with animals! We’ve been trusted dog and cat sitters for friends and family for years, and recently decided to give Rover a try. We’d love to provide your pet with extra love, attention, and care while you’re away or taking some time for yourself. We can’t wait to meet your furry family member! 🥰 One of our favorite things to do is go on walks together. We always joke and say we’re meant to have a pet, and we’re sure we will have our own one day. We walk daily during our lunch breaks and each evening after work. We’d love to take your pet with us! We live in a house with a private fenced backyard. We have no pets or kids in our house and we plan to take care of one pet/family at a time so we can give them our full attention and make sure they are as comfortable as can be.

About: I grew up surrounded by dogs thanks to my dad, who is a veterinarian and ran his own animal hospital in Europe. From a young age I loved helping out at the clinic, learning how to care for animals and building a natural connection with dogs of all kinds. I am now moving to Stanford to study a master’s in medicine, and I really miss having dogs around. Spending time with them has always been something that makes me happy, so I would love to take care of your dog and give them the same love and attention I would give my own 🐶 I am friendly, responsible, and attentive to each dog’s needs. I will be based in Stanford starting mid-September! When I care for your pet in your home, my priority is making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and well looked after in their own environment. I follow their usual routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walks, and any specific instructions you provide. I make sure they always have fresh water, plenty of exercise, and time for play and companionship, not just quick visits. If your dog needs medication or any special care, I’m attentive and careful to follow directions closely. I also keep their space clean and make sure they’re relaxed and settled while you’re away. I love keeping you updated, I’ll send photos, videos, and even little collages of our walks so you can see where we’ve been and how many miles we covered. Looking forward to meeting your dog 🐶

About: I have been dog sitting since I was in high school for friends and families dogs. I have two dogs of my own - a pit bull and yellow lab. I have been working on TrustedHouse Sitters for a while now and decided to try Rover out! I am an active, social person that loves to take dogs on walks, play with animals, and give them all the cuddles they want. I am currently a Nuclear Medicine student that mostly spends afternoons and evenings at home studying, so having a companion would be amazing! I thrive off of helping people out and being around both animals and humans! I am at clinicals for 8 hours a day, so I like to look for places nearby Stanford hospital. I wake up at around 5-6am, get ready and take the dogs for a walk, feed them and give them attention before being at the hospital from 8am-4pm. After clinicals, I make sure to walk the dogs first thing when I get back, and play with them whether that be fetch, pets, cuddles, etc. I love my long walks so if you are looking for a dog walker, I'm there! I always to make sure when I get home from clinicals, to walk the dogs and give them all of the attention they need! I keep homes tidy and respect people's space. I understand what it could be like to let someone in your home, and I will do my best to make you feel comfortable with both your home and pets. I am gone during the day for clinicals and spend most nights inside with the animals.

We scheduled a meet and greet the day we were leaving to give her the rundown on how to take care of our dog (Bella), 3 guinea pigs, and rabbit. My afternoons are flexible, so weekday middays and after-work hours are when I'm most available for walks and drop-in visits, and weekends are wide open. I keep my Rover calendar updated daily and reply to messages within minutes. For regular clients, I'm glad to hold a standing weekly slot on the same days and times each week so your dog's routine stays predictable. Most of my care happens in your home, so respecting your space comes first. Written instructions get followed exactly, doors and gates stay secured, everything is left the way I found it, and your address and entry details are never shared with anyone. On walks, dogs stay leashed the entire time, I stick to routes I know well, bring water on warm days, and check paws and coat afterward. Before the first visit I make sure I have your vet's contact information and the location of the nearest emergency clinic. After every visit you'll get photos and a written recap, so you always know exactly how your dog is doing.

About: I grew up around dogs and even fostered a few throughout my college years. I have the strength to walk any dog and am very active if they need lots of walking. I understand their personalities and always lead with love🐶 I’m currently working part time and am always open to working around your schedule. Weekends during the day are always busier for me but I’m flexible and will put your pet first. Pets at my home have the apartment to run free, although I do not have outdoor space those who require it will get more than enough outdoor time. I spend most of my time outdoors and they are always welcome to join.
