“Wendy was absolutely amazing with Remington, and he was very happy with her, and her family. If anyone needs a dog sitter I highly recommend Wendy, you will not be disappointed. Thank you Wendy. Remy thanks you too. ?❤️”

“Elaina took such great care of our Stella! She consistently sent updated pictures and videos of Stella and provided daily updates on her well-being. Stella received lots of loving attention just like at her home. We felt happy that Stella acted and looked very happy in every pic that was sent. Stella came back clean, and calm seemed to be so relaxed. We will be using Elaina again!! Great backyard for an active dog like Stella. She seemed to have made a new friend with "Bug", their dog and their sweet two-year-old daughter.”

“I was very pleased with the entire process. They were very responsive pre stay , very flexible on drop off and pick up times, and gave me feedback during my doggie's stay including pictures! Definitely will rebook with them!”

“She kept me up-to-date on my dogs! They did puzzles, went for walks and had a blast! Definitely recommend and would book again 🩷my babies were fast asleep the entire 4 hour drive back home!!”

“Absolutely wonderful! Nancy & Stan are such kind and caring people. They have a beautiful home with a large yard in a great neighborhood. Their home and family are so welcoming. We received updates and photos throughout the stay and really loved getting those! It’s so nice to know your pet is well taken care of and comfortable when away. Highly recommend them to everyone!”

“Andrew did a great job with my pup. Great communication and I very much appreciated his flexibility. This was a vacation stay and if I’m in the area again, I would certainly work with him again.”

About: I’ve been caring for dogs for 15 years — starting with my own and growing into a trusted home-away-from-home for others’ pups too. Over that time I’ve cared for everything from bouncy puppies learning the ropes to senior dogs on daily medication, so I’m comfortable adjusting to whatever your dog needs. Every dog who stays with us gets fenced acreage to roam, a steady daily routine, and plenty of family time — plus photo updates so you always know they’re happy and well cared for. I’m a homeschooling mom, which means your pup gets lots of company throughout the day! A typical day starts with an early morning outing to run around and go potty, then breakfast, followed by lots of in-and-out playtime throughout the day. We wrap up with dinner and a calm bedtime routine. Your fur baby will get plenty of socialization, playtime, and snuggles from our family all day long — they won’t just be boarded, they’ll be part of the household. Your dog will have their own climate-controlled space, separate from our other animals but fully visible to them — so they can watch (and be watched by!) our cats, chickens, mini donkeys, and our own fur babies from a secure, fully enclosed 6-foot no-climb fence. Dogs stay in their kennels overnight, and for occasional breaks throughout the day depending on weather. Please bring your dog’s kennel, leash, and food dishes for their stay. If your pup needs medication, we’re happy to administer oral or topical meds for a $5/day fee. And if you’d like some extra peace of mind, I’m happy to send daily photo updates during their stay!
“Excellent experience. Kristen communicated and sent pictures throughout our dogs stay. I don’t think our dog wanted to leave and come home ?. Would definitely recommend!”

About: I’ve been pet sitting for over 10 years and regularly care for the pets of family and friends. I truly love animals and enjoy getting to know each pet’s unique personality. I know how important it is to trust someone with your pets, so I treat every animal as if they were my own and give them the same care, attention, and affection I’d want for my own pets. After all, pets are family. My schedule is very flexible as a part time server and college student. I’m generally available every day before 4 PM, and I often have evening availability depending on my work schedule. I’m happy to work with pet owners to find times that fit their needs and can accommodate most requests with advance notice. I treat every pet as if they were my own and strive to create a safe, stress free environment. I have a very friendly dog who loves other animals and can provide a crate if needed. I follow each pet’s routine, respect their individual needs, and make sure they receive plenty of love, attention, and care while their family is away.
“Thank you, Deepa, for taking such good care of our Coco. Deepa kept us updated on Coco every day. We felt completely at ease during our vacation, knowing Coco was in a home where she was loved just as much as we love her.”

“We’ve been away for a week and Malia made us feel comfortable to leave our Coco in her hands. Everyday she takes her time to send us a picture of Coco. I can’t highly recommend her. She is totally awesome, responsive and reliable. Thank you Malia!”

“If there was a way to leave 10 STARS I would. Kaylyn was great with my toy poodle. I got pictures and videos of my dog enjoying her days playing, relaxing on the couch, and having a lazy day sunning. Ginger was just as comfortable and happy with her as she is at home. I had no worries or concerns and was able to enjoy my vacation. I will be using Kaylyn again, it’s home away from home. Thank you!”

“Crystal is wonderful! She went above and beyond to answer any questions or worries I had. She was quick to respond when I asked how my pup was doing, and my dog came back exhausted. He had a blast playing with the other pups. I definitely recommend Crystal and her family to watch over your furry friend. Definitely going to be a returning customer.”

“Darlene is absolutely amazing! So sweet, and I immediately felt at ease leaving Tucker with her. She was very accommodating as we booked pretty last minute. Her professionalism was above and beyond what I've typically experienced with Rover (and I've had fantastic experiences using Rover, so this is a great compliment!). She truly cares for dogs and has a wonderful set up to help them feel at ease, keep them safe, and ensure they enjoy their time while in her care. We wish we lived closer so we could book her again and again!”

“Emily and Samuel did amazing with my little buddy!! This was the longest I’d left him with someone and he did amazing! I credit that to their experience and confidence around him! Will definitely be booking them again ??”

“Nicole was awesome when taking care of our pups. She kept us updated with pictures daily and with great communication. She was very accommodating for our last minute travels. We’d trust her any day with our dogs.”

About: Dogs have been a part of my life for over 19 years. I've cared for three senior dogs of my own in the past, two who had chronic conditions. I have experience administering medication and providing special care. In addition, over the years, I've gained experience caring for the dogs of other owners. I'm retired and home full time. Your pet(s) will have all-day care. I'm fully devoted to caring for your pet(s). Your pet(s) will be pampered and spoiled as if he or she was one of my own. Your pet(s) will receive multiple potty breaks throughout the day. In addition, pet(s) will get daily play time in large fenced backyard and if requested, daily walks. I have a half an acre fenced backyard, so plenty of space for your pet(s) to run around and play. Clean dog beds, and if preferred for sleeping, crates with beds for all sizes. For the length of the stay, your pet(s) will be able to make himself or herself at home.
About: I’ve been caring for dogs for 27 years and have experience with puppies, adult dogs, and seniors. As a nurse and lifelong animal lover, I am attentive, dependable, and comfortable administering medications when needed. I understand that every dog has unique needs and personalities, and I provide patient, loving care tailored to each pet. Whether your dog needs walks, playtime, feeding, companionship, or extra attention, I will treat them like family and make sure they feel safe, happy, and well cared for while you’re away. I’m a full time stay at home mom with a very flexible schedule. I am free to care for your pet all day every day of the week. I currently have a 4 year old lab mix who is nervous around strangers, but he loves to play with other dogs. My daughter is currently 13 months old, so if your pet will be in my home, all I ask is that they are potty trained and can be good/gentle with kids, for my daughter’s safety. Our dog is an indoor/outdoor dog. He spends most of his time inside, but he likes to play outside in our fenced in yard during the day as long as the weather is good. We have a screened-in porch with a fan for him to rest in while he is outside, too. He is free to go in and out of it as he pleases. Our dog is free-fed, but we are also used to following feeding schedules from caring for our elderly dog who recently passed, as well as my family’s dogs. I provide a safe, supervised, and loving home environment with consistent care and attention. If desired, I can offer daily walks, whether your pets are boarding with me or receiving drop-in visits. I can also play fetch and provide medication administration, as I have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Every dog deserves companionship and care. I can ensure they receive plenty of affection, attention, and individualized care from myself, my husband, and my daughter. She is very gentle with animals and absolutely loves interacting with them—it’s truly sweet to watch. I offer flexible care options to accommodate different routines and needs, whether your pet requires simple visits or more structured boarding care.
“Jonathan kept my dog really well. We went away for 20 days, and I always felt confident that Watson was well looked after. When I picked my dog up he couldn't believe I still existed. He'd completely adjusted to his new life;) We'll happily use Jonathan again, and I'd recommend him to anyone.”

About: Your peace of mind and their happiness are my top priorities! I am dedicated to providing peace of mind to pet parents while they’re away. I understand how important your pets are to you, and I treat them like family. When your fur babies are in my care, they’ll receive plenty of attention, snuggles, and love. I have a large, fenced-in backyard where they can play safely and enjoy the outdoors. You will receive many updated, pics and videos while your pet is here having fun. I’m home 90% of the time and make it a priority to plan my activities around what best suits your pet’s individual needs. Whether it’s sticking to their diet, getting the perfect amount of playtime, or providing them with rest when needed, I tailor everything to their routine. I ensure that your pets feel included in everything I do, making them feel like they’re part of my family during their stay. Pet care is at the center of my daily routine. My life revolves around my clients’ schedules, and I always plan activities based on the pet’s specific needs. I try to stay home as much as possible, ensuring the pets feel safe and comfortable in their surroundings. During the day, your pets are free to hang out with me in the living room, kitchen, or even my bedroom. I aim to provide a routine that feels familiar and comforting to each pet, adjusting based on their personality and needs. My goal is to make them feel as relaxed and at home as possible during their stay! I care for pets with the same attention and love that I would give my own. In my home, I have a large, fenced-in backyard perfect for playtime and outdoor fun. I’m also centrally located in a wooded neighborhood, right across from a beautiful forest preserve, which means lots of fresh air and opportunities for nature walks. My split-level home gives me the ability to separate pets if there’s ever any tension, ensuring a peaceful environment for everyone. I’m home most of the time, so I’m always available to stick to your pet’s proper diet and administer any medication they may need. I’m flexible with pick-up times to accommodate your schedule, and I make sure that boarders in my home are treated like part of the family. Your pet will feel loved, safe, and comfortable, whether in my home or yours.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
