“Carlie did a great job with both my big and little dogs! She came over for a meet and greet - and they instantly took to her. She was on time, followed directions, and was very friendly! Highly recommend!”

“Fantastic! Melissa and Jordan were incredibly helpful, so communicative, and took great photos! We knew our cat was in great hands the whole time. They even went above and beyond when he wasn’t feeling 100% and helped us troubleshoot what was going on and stayed with him to make sure he was feeling better. Would 1,000% recommend them for all your pet’s needs.”

About: Hi! I’m a dog-loving sitter excited to spend the summer with your furbabies! I have three years of experience working at an animal shelter and am also part of a therapy dog team, so I’m comfortable with dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments. I’m reliable, attentive, and love making sure every pup gets plenty of exercise, love, and attention—whether that’s walks, playtime, or relaxing cuddles! I have two dogs and one cat of my own and understand the importance of having someone that you can trust when it comes to your fur babies. 🩷 I work full-time remote so I have flexibility to do quick drop in visits or daily walks. Just let me know how I can assist! I have two dogs in my own and understand the importance of mental stimulation and exercise. Whether you're looking for someone to do a quick potty break while you were at work or provide your pup with a fun activity, I am your go to person!
“Erin was absolutely AMAZING in taking care of my cat, Hazel. Very communicative, great updates and much appreciated photos. Hazel now lays at the front door at their normal visit time looking for her, if that tells you anything! Will definitely, without a doubt, use Erin again and highly recommend her!”

About: I love all kinds of dogs! I have my own 2 year old puppy Scooby. He is a Lab Great Dane mix, I call him the gentle giant. He is also super hyper so I can handle high energy dogs! I also have a 2 year old puppy Damsel she's a Bolonka (very small breed similar to a shih tzu). I had a dog growing up who was blind and have diabetes so I am able to assist in giving medicine to your pup if they need it. I love taking long walks on trails or around the neighborhood and giving the dogs enrichment toys that tire them out. I Can't wait to meet your pup!! I am currently available any day or time to walk your dog or stop in to play. I am currently in between jobs and looking for something fun to do in the meantime! I normally take my dog on 2 short walks and one long walk a day. Occasionally we go to the dog park. I can take your pup on a nice walk, short or long, or to the dog park if there is one near by!

“Everything was great with my pets as it has been whenever Carly has taken care of them for me! She provided wonderful care of all of them and we were able to relax and enjoy our vacation. Thank you Carly M.!”

“Dina was amazing! Ours was a very last minute request and she was incredibly accommodating on such short notice. She took excellent care of our golden doodle puppy and we could tell that she really cares! She was very responsive and provided updates often during/after her visits. Highly recommended Dina!!”

About: For the past 6 years, I've cared for dogs through in-home sitting and regular walks, helping pet owners feel confident their furry family members are in good hands. I love building trust with dogs of all sizes and energy levels and making sure they get plenty of exercise, attention, and affection My schedule is flexible, allowing me to accommodate your pet's needs. I am committed to arriving reliably and ensuring they receive attentive, consistent care. For dog walks and drop-in visits, I prioritize safety, earn trust through dependable care, and maintain a calm environment where pets feel comfortable and secure.
About: I’m a recently retired teacher/administrator with some time. I am very active, and I’ve taken care of my dogs and cats my whole life. I have had five collies over the last 35 years and two cats. I also grew up with a German Shepherd. I am recently retired, so I am pretty flexible to arrange care any day of the week, with some notice. I do prefer some notice to be organized with my calendar. I don’t currently care for other pets in my home, but am happy to walk and play with pets in others’ homes. I have always had mid-sized to larger dogs, and are comfortable around them.
“Diana was wonderful! She was extremely helpful in taking care of our pets on our two week vacation! Diana is kind, clean, communicative and followed all of the instructions I left to a tee. We were very thankful and happy with her services!”

About: I grew up with dogs & cats. Additionally, I have dog/cat/house sat many times for multiple people over the past few years. I am very trustworthy and follow the rules of the owner to a T. I love animals and am looking for a way to make money for college while I help make owners lives easier while taking great care of their furry family members! I live at OCMD during the summers to save money. I can walk/ take care of animals any time after 3pm everyday. Additionally, I am typically off Tuesdays and Thursdays to be able to help as well. Simply, how I take care of animals varys from person to person, however there are basic needs animals have that I follow. Some of these are attention(I give a lot), walks, etc. Other then that I follow exact rules owners give me from food time, to amount, to how many walks a day.
“I was so lucky to find Alyssa! She’s extremely reliable and very thorough in her care of my cat. He warmed up to her immediately and usually he’s very shy. She’s very intuitive and gentle with him and ensures his food and water are replenished and his litter is clean. I highly recommend her services and look forward to working with her again!”

About: I have taken care of animals of all kinds for my whole life living on our 50 acre family farm. We have horses, pigs, cows, dogs, cats, reptiles and fish! I take care of all of them and provide them with a loving and enriched environment. I can’t wait to meet your best friends, or have them for a visit! Pet care is my greatest passion and second job at home. I spend my mornings out in the fields with my horses and cows pitching hay, mucking stalls, and cuddling in the grass. I spend my evenings snuggled up with my 3 hound dogs on couch or landscaping my reptile and fish tanks for fun. I am open to the needs of all pets as I know people do things in their own way. I will carefully follow the instructions left by the client.

About: We always had a family dog growing up, so I’ve been training, bathing, feeding and walking for as long as I can remember! I’ve taken daytime and overnight care of newborn pups to elderly dogs, as well as many cats, mostly belonging to friends (and friends of friends), so I’m excited to join Rover and help your pet get the love and care they deserve! I am currently working a flexible schedule, so I have plenty of opportunity to find a time that works to take care of your pet! I have my own transportation and a flexible schedule, so I am perfectly comfortable popping by to take care of your pet. I don’t have any dependents, so if overnight stays are what you need, I am happy to do that too! I keep a tidy house and tidy pet :)
About: Over 10 years of experience caring for dogs, cats and small animals in clients' homes. I am a Wicomico county public school teacher this proving a clean background as well as a patient and caring demeanor. I cared for my own diabetic cat for 2 years so insulin administration would be no problem. Due to some unforseen life changes I have a new situation and temporary schedule. For December I have full availability for walks and drop-ins M-F. I have most weekends free but need bring my 2 children with me. They are 8 and 10 years old and adore dogs. ♥️ I am happy to do a meet and greet prior to a booking if you have a child friendly fur baby and interest in working with me. We also have a fenced in back yard you could drop off to. 🐾🐶🐕🐕🦺😁 I will care for the animals as you direct me to. I am happy to take dogs in my vehicle for outings to dog parks or other events. I have a fenced in yard at my own home but have 2 guinea pigs and a cat so visits to my home would be dependent on tolerance to other pets and my 2 children who reside with me full time.
About: Having lived on a farm for over 20 years, I’m worked with a lot of species. I’ve rescued, nurtured and cared for animals my whole life. 😍 Hello. I’m extremely flexible as this is a new venture for me. I want to be a reliable, knowledgeable and nurturing source for you. 😍 Pets are family to me. I believe I'm one of the best caregivers because I treat animals as I would like to treated: kindness, patience and respect.
“Sky(Breanna) was amazing. She came to meet our pup b4 the scheduled booking which eased our Minda. She sent helpful messages and pictures and took her on such long walks. This service was great while we were in town for a festival and not having to leave her overnight in a strange kennel. Thanks to Rover and Sky!”

If I could leave 10 stars I would. This was my 1st time using a service to check on my cats. I will definitely be using Jenna again and I highly recommend her. First of all, she responded to my inquiry for services within 3 minutes of requesting. And it was for Christmas eve and Christmas day and last minute. She also sent messages before and after each visit and photos. A great experience!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
