“We had family in town and an event to attend. We needed a pet sitter. It was the first time we left Cooper with someone else. I was worried, he is a Whippet with very high energy, but let me tell you, Mishel and Adlai were wonderful, very understanding and accommodating. Cooper fell at home and had a great time, he even hesitated leaving their house when was time for pick up. I would definitely recommend them and hope to use them again for Cooper, now we can finally go on vacation.”

“Misti took great care of our Lily while we spent the day at Worlds of Fun. Everything was smooth and easy! We would definitely leave Lily again!”

About: I’ve had dogs from a young age. Staying with me, they will get attention, love, play time and cuddles. They will also get to play with my dog Lexi. I work from home full time so I’m always here. I’m able to go outside and play with your pups or give them extra attention. I have a fenced in yard with locks on my gates. I have a doggie door and the back door is always open. I have a 5 year old pup that is very calming and caring. She has been great with other dogs. She is very nurturing and always makes sure those in her space are safe. I have a couple of stories I can provide about her. I am very hands on and constantly checking on my girl and will do the same for your furbaby. Safety is very important to me, not only for your furbaby but for myself and my furbaby as well.

“This was my first time using Rover and I am very pleased. It was such a relief to be able to attend an event and shop in the city and have care for Rascal with Lori that wasn’t traumatic for him. Two thumbs up!”

“Max had a good time at Brent’s house. It was his first time there and he seemed to really connect! Brent sent pictures throughout the day and Max had a good time. Will definitely take him there again!”

“Thank you so much for watching my furbaby! She’s so tired out from today but 10/10. She looked so happy when I picked her up. Recommend 100% :)”

About: I offer experienced and compassionate care for small breed dogs, specializing in those with medical needs and senior requirements. With a history of fostering and rescuing Chihuahuas and mixes, including ongoing work with Great Plains SPCA, I understand the unique needs of small dogs. I provide medication administration and attentive care in a loving home environment. Having recently lost our elderly dog, I recognize the stress of finding reliable care, and am dedicated to providing you with complete peace of mind. As I work from home, your cherished pet will receive constant supervision and affection, ensuring a comfortable and secure stay. Our two resident rescued Chihuahuas are well-socialized and welcoming to new furry friends. I love animals of all sizes and will happily come to your home to spoil your big babies! I am currently working from home most of the time with occasional work travel needed. I am open to any schedule you and your pets may need! Let's discuss. My home features a securely fenced, small-dog-friendly backyard, providing a safe and comfortable outdoor space. My two resident Chihuahuas are well-socialized and enjoy the company of other small dogs. I will prioritize personalized care, and request detailed information regarding your pet's preferences and routines to ensure their happiness and well-being. Whether your pet enjoys gentle serenades, comforting cuddles, or quiet relaxation, I am committed to fulfilling their individual needs.

About: I'm currently working 9a-1p so I'll have the time to be in residence with the animals. Let them out and play with them. I love cuddling with animals on the couch or bed. I've had the enjoyment of working on Rover for over 5 years now with plenty of repeat clients and 5 star reviews. I have no prejudice of size or breed. My favorites are big dogs so I actually favor any breeds that may have stereotypes against them. I have a black lab who I love more than anything and 4 cats that keep me on my toes. Please message me with any clarifying questions. 🙂 For the next month or so, I'll be working 9a-1p so I'll be able to come back midday for a bathroom break and then spend time in the evening. I'm very relaxed when I'm dog sitting. I spend time with the dogs, hanging out in the livingroom. If they have toys, then I'll play with them or if they like to play outside we do that.

About: I have had 6 dogs in my life time, as well as 5 cats, which has taught me a lot of responsibility of taking care of animals, as well as training them simple tricks such as sit, down, paw, and stay. I currently have 2 dogs, Rocky and bamboo, who are both pitbull mixes. We have a fenced in backyard that has a 6 foot privacy fence. I did Rover back in college for numerous clients and have alsoI babysat for families who have owned dogs which required me to take care of the pets while they were out as well by feeding, walking, playing, and taking out the dog. Friends and family friends have entrusted me with going to their houses while they were away for a few days to make sure the dogs were okay, fed, taken out, and played with. I have also volunteered at dog adoption events with making sure each dog had food and were taken out and not in dirty cages. One of my previous dogs had to take pills everyday so I learned how to administer them properly. I can also give other medications if needed. I have always loved dogs and it seems I have never had a dog I have met dislike me. I work full time from home and am able to take breaks in order to take dogs for walks or run to your house to feed them or take them out in the middle of the day. I work 8am-4pm Monday through Friday and have weekends opened. I live in a neighborhood with lots of paths to walk dogs. I can also walk your pup in your neighborhood if I am dropping in or house sitting. I have worked with leash reactive dogs for the past 4 years so I know how to handle these situations and how to handle stims, prong collars, gentle leads, and a variety of other tools for walking dogs if your pups uses these for walks.

“Coleen has been taking care of our dog Wally for about 4 months, since we brought him home at 10-weeks old. From stopping by to feed & play with him when he was still a baby, to taking him for walks or having him at her house for day care now that he's older, Coleen has always done a fantastic job taking care of our little boy. Her love for dogs is obvious, and Wally very clearly loves her, too! Highly recommend her services.”

“Great stay and visit! Our two dogs had a blast!”

I have a very sweet shih-tzu mix that I absolutely adore! Please let me know anything that could help me connect with your pup. I have plenty of time to spend with pets! It’s one of my favorite things to do! :) I am pretty flexible when it comes to scheduling. I have a big back yard with a fence, and lots of area to walk nearby! I have a shih tzu mix who is great with other dogs. I will play fetch with them, take them for a walk, take lots of photos and videos, and keep you updated!

About: *I’m returning to Rover after a long break* Accepting New Clients My love for animals began early and my desire to have them as a part of my family was natural. I learned quickly that my pets preferred to be in the comfort of a home when I was away, where they could enjoy the luxuries of their favorite beds, outside backyard play and one on one attention. This is what lead to the development of The KC Pet Nanny. I found in 2004, when I was traveling, there were few acceptable options for my beloved furry kids aside from an expensive, cold kennels that were far from the home environment they appreciated & came to expect. How could I travel knowing my pets were not the happiest they could be? I couldn't. I set out to make dog sitting an option for everyone, even those within the animal rescue community which I am a proud part of. Each pet parent gets "Nanny Notes" detailing their dogs stay along with photos. *Subscriber to RelaxMyDog . com* I’m a retired Social Worker and I’m home most days. I also have a collage age daughter. I offer time outside to exercise and potty. We have socialization time inside. Most days, weather permitting, they are have the option of outside time every 2-3 hours, Our home environment is stable and harmonious. We have fun, we relax, we thrive. Whether it’s backyard play in a secured fence or indoor recess, safety is a priority.

Oakwood Park dog parents share their Rover experiences
We couldn’t be happier with James as our dog sitter for Baxter and Leah! We’ve booked him before and absolutely will continue to book him as we visit the area. From the start, he was incredibly communicative—sending regular updates, photos, and checking in just the right amount to give us total peace of mind. It was clear our pups were in great hands and truly enjoyed their time with him. James went above and beyond, and we’ll absolutely be booking with him again. Highly recommend!

Nicole kept me updated on Ace’s stay. Sent plenty of pics and messages to ensure me that he was well taken care of. I extended his stay cause I got busy and she was able to watch him the extra days with no problem. Next time I’m in town I’m for sure going to use her services.
