“Mark took such great care of our dog! She was completely happy when we came home and our house was clean, packages and garbage cans brought in. We also had a few changes and he was so flexible. Will definitely be using him again!”

“Jennifer did a great job and our pups were very happy! She kindly dealt with us coming home in the middle of the night due to a sick child. Somehow even with our surprise entry home, the house was spotless too. Thank you so much!”

“This is the second time we’ve used Jordyn to watch our dog in our home and she did great with her! We can tell Polly is comfortable with her and loves having her stay here. Jordyn keeps us updated and leaves the house nice and clean. Will definitely use her again for future trips!”

About: I understand the importance of routine and consistency when caring for new animals. My love for animals ensures they feel comfortable and safe while I'm looking after them. I'm extra attentive to senior animals, being able to administer medication, while also being able to keep up with the young energetic pups. My ability to handle different pets and situations makes me adaptable and trustworthy. I do work a full time 9-5 job but I am available for early morning or late afternoon drop ins or walks. I am also free on the weekends to make sure your pets are well taken care of. My fur babies are very loved and spoiled. We go on evening walks and go to dog parks on the weekends. Even my cats get to smell the outdoors and have the comfiest beds to nap on.
“Grace was excellent! She provided updates when needed and was very helpful and attentive to our requests and instructions. We came home to a happy, healthy puppy and a clean house. All we could ask for in a sitter! We will definitely be booking Grace again! Thanks, Grace!”

“Eddie was exactly what we had hoped for. He was extremely polite, kind, great with the dogs and our bunny and left the house absolutely beautiful when we came home. He communicated with us and sent videos and pictures upon our request and did a fabulous job. I would hire him back in a second! Definitely worth every penny and more.”

“Megan was amazing! We've never had a more understanding sitter. Even after our plans changed (too many times to count), Megan was awesome and helpful and extremely responsive. We got tons of photos and the dogs looked very happy. Definitely book her!”
“Lauren was awesome - both of our dogs loved having her stay at the house. Her communication was crystal clear and she was very responsive...she also sent plenty of pictures of our pups. Highly recommended!!!”

About: I've spent my entire life around pets and animals and have pet sat for a lot of family and friends before. I always have loved spending time with animals and taking care of them. My family has raised a Lab, Goldendoodle, and a German Shepard, we are all pet lovers and are all very caring. I'm available all nights and weekends, on weekdays I have a flexible school schedule that allows me to be home multiple times per day. I am a senior about to graduate so I am taking a small amount of classes. I am very attentive to the pets I have cared for in the past, as well as my current pets. I keep to a schedule for feeding, walking, play time, and letting the pets out multiple times a day. This helps keep things organized and routine. I make sure all is well and keep communicating with their owners. Sending photos and videos to ensure your pet is having a good time.
“Ashlee was wonderful with my senior pup who needed a LOT of extra care. She ensured that I, the worried mom, got tons of photos and updates throughout my time away. She really put me at ease and handled the many needs of my older sick pup with great care, kindness, and professionalism. She stayed at my home with my pup and left the house in great shape. We will certainly be asking her to watch our dog again in the future.”

About: I was a volunteer at an animal shelter, where I walked the dogs waiting to find their permanent home. I am comfortable with animals of all sizes. I am currently a full time masters student, and I work every weekday in the lab. I am available on Saturdays and Sundays for any time of day. I am big into getting dogs out for walks. I also provide a lot of play time to keep your cat or dog active and entertained.
About: My genuine love for animals, experience with various breeds and special needs, beautifully fenced in yard by the water, and emphasis on love and patience collectively set me apart as a dog sitter who provides exceptional care and creates a loving environment for the dogs entrusted to me. I don’t have any pets of my own right now, which makes it extra fun to spend time with yours! 🐾 Let’s set up a meet-and-greet so I can meet your pup and you can see how much fun we’ll have together! I like to start the day with a quick potty break followed by some playful yard time to get the wiggles out, then it’s straight to breakfast. During the day we’ll stroll around the neighborhood, sniff out some new spots, and say hi to fellow furry friends. Maybe even hop in the car for a little adventure or park visit. By evening it’s all about winding down, cozy vibes, and a yummy dinner to wrap up a tail-wagging day! I care for pets by stepping into their paws and seeing the world the way they do! They thrive when we keep a routine that feels familiar, filled with their usual play, walks, and snuggles. To make them feel right at home, please bring along any favorite toys, blankets, or other comfort items they love.
“Haley and Alex came through for me in a very last-minute and stressful situation due to a family emergency. They stayed with my Boys and kept them happy and cared for in my home while I was out of town. They were great about keeping me updated, especially knowing how stressed I was since this was the first time anyone besides my immediate family took care of my pups. I would definitely book them again and will recommend them to all of my pet parent friends! 🐶🐾”

“Gail was such a great sitter. She made sure to update me about the kitties and kept the house super clean. You can tell she loves cats so much and is just a joy to work with! She even took care of my plants and did some folding for me. Above and beyond! Thank you, Gail! ❤️”

About: Caring for dogs has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. With 3 years of vet tech experience and 2 years at a doggy daycare, I bring both professional knowledge and genuine love to every dog I care for. I understand dog behavior, medications, and individual needs, and I treat every dog as if they were my own- so you can feel confident your pet is safe, understood, and deeply cared for. Pet care fits naturally into my daily and weekly routine. While I'm currently in school Tuesdays and Thursdays, most of the time I'm home, which gives me open and flexible availability for pet care. I enjoy staying active through walks and hikes, so daily exercise and outdoor time with dogs is something I happily incorporate into my routine. Being home allows me to provide consistent supervision, attention and a calm, caring environment where pets feel safe and well cared for. I care for pets with a calm, loving and attentive approach, whether in my home or a client's home. In my home, dogs have plenty of space to relax and play, including a large fenced-in yard and a comfortable, spacious house. I also live near several forest preserves, which allows for enriching walks and outdoor time when appropriate. I take the time to learn each pet's routine, including feeding schedules and medications, and any special needs, to ensure comfort. Because I may be caring for other dogs and I have a dog of my own, I always ask about a pet's temperament and how they do around other dogs to make sure everyone stays safe, happy and stress-free.
“Caroline is incredible. I have one fur baby that is easy, and one that is a bit difficult due to medical issues. Our male can be a bit difficult and reactive. We met with Caroline and she listened and heard everything we told er about our babies. She asked a lot of question, which was fantastic. She just spent the past 2 days with our babies. She not only earned their trust, but their love. Caroline spent time with them getting to know them, took them on walks, and was fantastic in our home. We know that are dogs are in good hands with Caroline. We will definitely be having her back.”

“Becca was wonderful! She was able to watch Tazer on short notice over a holiday weekend. She sent updates and photos letting me know how he was doing. I have never had someone new watch him before and she said he adjusted well. It was such a relief knowing I could get away and he was in great hands. I will definitely be using her to sit again.”

“Annastacia did a fantastic job caring for my babies! I could tell they really loved having her over. She was very open to any information I gave her about my dogs, responded in a timely manner, and followed the given instructions. I highly recommend booking with her and plan to in the very near future!”

“Shiloh was absolutely great! She took such good care of our fur babies and kept our house just as we had left it. She even stayed an extra night when our flight home got canceled without any hesitation. We are so grateful and I would highly recommend her services!”

Oakwood Hills pet parents share their Rover experiences
Kylee she was a lifesaver, probably one of the most important overstays with our dogs that we could ever need. Our son was getting married and we needed to make sure we had somebody would be confident that would be there and not only was she really good at communicating even came over to our house to meet the dogs before she had to overnight stay. We have 2 energetic boxers and they loved her when she met them. We didnt worry for a second the whole time when and we got to enjoy our evening at the wedding. Kylie also got back to us right away asked questions if she had them and everything was perfect when we got home. I would definitely recommend her. She is communicative kind and great with pets so thank you for so much for helping us and making our day extra special with no worries.

I have unfortunately had inconsistent experiences using Rover in the past and was hesitant in trying to find a dog sitter for a week long trip through Rover. Jacob however was great to work with and incredibly diligent and timely with my older (particular) dog. I cannot recommend him enough! His calm demeanor immediately put my pup at ease and he made sure to accomidate some specific needs (visits before I left, specific food needs and timely bathroom breaks) to keep my dog comfortable and happy. He communicated effectively before, during and after the trip, which is always greatly appreciated. I'll most definitely be requesting Jacob for any and all future trips.
