“Christine took such wonderful care of my 13 year old Newfie mix Punkie! As a large breed, Punkie has some health issues and Christine knew just how to care for her with short walks, gentle brushing and lots of love! Christine went above and beyond making sure all the tumbleweeds of hair were cleaned up before I got home. Such a joy to come home to clean floors and a happy dog! Thank you, Christine!”

“Really liked Brian’s visit. He’s not only a nice reliable sitter but the trainer as well, worked on my puppy sit, stay, come commands. He response to my texts right away. Will definitely use him again and recommend to others.”

“I don’t have enough positive things to say about Megan!! She did such a great job with our sweet babies and we had no worries about the safety and security of dogs in her care. We had some issues with our garage door opener (our fault) and Megan was quick to call us and jump through the hoops to get into our house!! We are very grateful for her care and attention to our dogs and when we travel again… we will absolutely reach out to Megan again!! Thank you so much - Margaret & Jim”

“Dorothy was outstanding coming to our house to feed and let out our 2 dogs. She was great with the dogs, responds quickly to questions and sent many photos while we traveled out of state for a wedding. We trusted her and did not worry about our dogs. I would highly recommend her services.”

About: Hi I’m Janie!! I'm 19 & I absolutely love animals. For years I’ve been trusted by friends, family, and neighbors to care for their pets—whether it’s walks, drop-ins, or overnight stays—and I love giving each dog the attention they deserve. I make sure every furry friend feels safe, happy, and loved while you’re away! I work 2 part-time jobs, typically in the evening 5-6 days a week. Even with my schedule, I have plenty of free time and am happy to work with you to make sure your pets get all the love and attention they deserve!! I love keeping dogs happy and comfortable by sticking to their usual routines. On walks, I make sure they’re safe and have a fun time. During drop-in visits, I can handle feeding, water, playtime, potty breaks, and anything else your dog needs.

About: I’ve grown up taking care of both cats and dogs, including small and large breeds. I currently have a chocolate lab who I walk, feed, and play with every day. I also have experience caring for senior dogs and cats, and I understand the extra patience, attention, and care they may need. I love cats and am comfortable feeding them, changing litter, playing with them, and giving them lots of attention. I’m reliable, caring, and truly enjoy being around animals! I’m home from college until August 10th. I’m available all day on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 8 AM–3PM for dog walking, pet sitting, and drop-in visits for both cats and dogs! I’m also available on weekends and am flexible with timing. I’m happy to work around your pet’s normal routine to make sure they feel comfortable, cared for, and safe. I’m always mindful, respectful, and responsible when caring for pets in someone else’s home. I make sure to keep a clean and safe environment, follow instructions carefully, and handle everything with care. I understand how important trust is when someone is caring for your pets and home, and I’ll always do my best to make both you and your pets feel comfortable and secure.
“Natalie has been absolutely fantastic with my four dogs. She handles them all with no problem at all. She is responsible and flexible with schedule changes and that has been a big help as my work schedule does fluctuate. The dogs just love her and we feel very fortunate to have her as our daily pet sitter. I would strongly recommend Natalie if you are looking for peace of mind when it comes to having someone trustworthy to care for your pets.”

About: I've been around dogs since I've had a working memory. From friend's, family's, neighbor's to my own I've watched and cared for many different dogs of many different sizes and needs. Dogs are a joy and a privilege to care for and deserve the best. I've worked with pups to pops and enjoy both :) I currently work part time in the mornings. Whether your pet/s need to be fed/let out, walked or just needs company I know I'll find time to give them the attention and care they deserve. If I'm pet sitting, I'm able to stay in you're home and give your pets all the attention they could dream of. Chill, lazy dog? Nothing like relaxing outside or watching TV getting pets and cuddles. Adventurous hounds? Lots of walks and play. I tailor the pet care your fur babies need to fit their lives and personalities. I work 1:1 with pet families so that your pets get all of my attention.

I love Going on nice walks whether if it’s long like a few hours or short like around the block. Ill always come prepared with extra poop bags just in case you don’t have any Im free many days of the week take care of your best friend. I love walking and taking some nice jogs during the day so I’m free almost every day to go out into the world and take your furry friend for a nice walk. if you have a cat i can chill with them while I brush them out so they can have a silky coat. It’s just so relaxing to do that and have a peaceful moment during the day If your dog or cat ever gets stressed I will stop doing what ever I’m doing and help them de stress a bit and figure out what might have caused it. I’ll take my time with them and give them something they really like or that’s calming in hope that they calm down. I will never pressure your furry friend into doing something that it dosent want to do
“Rachael was very communicative & patient. She helped to alleviate any anxieties I had while traveling away from my senior cat. She sent lots of photos & kept me in the loop about my cat’s behavior, eating patterns, and overall mood. 10/10 service, glad i already have her booked for my next vacation!”

About: I’ve taken care of a variety of dogs since I was little and have loved every second. I was always helping out my family’s and neighbor’s pets - and now I finally got my own puppy in August of 2025. Trained him all on my own and he is the sweetest boy! I work at a kindergarten with special education during the school year. Once June hits, I will be officially out for summer break and plan on focusing all my attention on Rover. I will have all the time on my hands to drop in and take care of your pets! My 10 month old dachshund is very well taken care of. He is my pride and joy - always getting all the cuddles and exercise he needs. I believe that all pets require the same love and attention that humans do and I treat them with that idea in mind.
“While my mom was in the hospital, I frantically searched for someone to help let my mom’s dog out. I booked Mackenzie last minute, and she was an angel that we needed in our time of need. She was patient with our last minute requests, accommodating and flexible. She sent many updates and took great care of of my mom’s dog.”

“Arlene is awesome and did an amazing job taking care of Salem. She also sent me a ton of pictures which I always appreciate. Will definitely be asking her to take care of Salem again.”

“Cici has great concern for the well being of the animals she watches. She truly gives over and above the call of duty. She helped with my Keeva’s health even when not dog sitting. Such actions speak of a very kind heart and one I feel quite confident with in my home.”

“Monica was amazing! This was our first time having someone come to our house to let our puppy out and she made us feel very comfortable. She was very responsive and sent us pictures while she was there. We are definitely going to ask Monica to do more drop in visits in the future!”

“Marcy has been great, we have used her services several times the last few months and have all good things to say. The biggest help is being able to work with the short notices due to my work schedule. Her flexibility has been awesome. My dogs seem to really enjoy her and Marcy has been wonderful to my pups.....”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
