“Megan was so wonderful in checking in on my dog Chewie! She sent lots of updates and pictures and he seemed very happy after she visited. I look forward to using her services again!”

About: I’ve taken care of a variety of dogs since I was little and have loved every second. I was always helping out my family’s and neighbor’s pets - and now I finally got my own puppy in August of 2025. Trained him all on my own and he is the sweetest boy! I work at a kindergarten with special education during the school year. Once June hits, I will be officially out for summer break and plan on focusing all my attention on Rover. I will have all the time on my hands to drop in and take care of your pets! My 10 month old dachshund is very well taken care of. He is my pride and joy - always getting all the cuddles and exercise he needs. I believe that all pets require the same love and attention that humans do and I treat them with that idea in mind.
About: I have dealt with big and small dogs even if they are very mean or nice and I can deal with them accordingly so me and your furry friend don’t get hurt. I love Going on nice walks whether if it’s long like a few hours or short like around the block. I love going outside and feeling the nice breeze and smell of the grass and trees and I know dogs love it to. Ill always come prepared with extra poop bags just in case you don’t have any Im free many days of the week take care of your best friend. I love walking and taking some nice jogs during the day so I’m free almost every day to go out into the world and take your furry friend for a nice walk. if you have a cat i can chill with them while I brush them out so they can have a silky coat. It’s just so relaxing to do that and have a peaceful moment during the day If your dog or cat ever gets stressed I will stop doing what ever I’m doing and help them de stress a bit and figure out what might have caused it. I’ll take my time with them and give them something they really like or that’s calming in hope that they calm down. I will never pressure your furry friend into doing something that it dosent want to do
“Alex did amazing job at taking care of my pet chinchilla!! She spent time playing with him and made sure my chinchilla’s cage was stock up in fresh hay, food, water and toys. 😊”

“Dorothy was outstanding coming to our house to feed and let out our 2 dogs. She was great with the dogs, responds quickly to questions and sent many photos while we traveled out of state for a wedding. We trusted her and did not worry about our dogs. I would highly recommend her services.”

“Doug was excellent - did a pre-visit and asked a number of questions to make sure he knew exactly what to do. He also sent photos during the visit so I could see the cats were doing well too. Will be requesting another series of visits!”

About: Hi! I’m Delaney and I hope to be your new pet sitter. I’ve been caring for cats, dogs, and other animals since I was young. I have volunteered at animal shelters, fostered kittens, and pet sat for friends/family. I have a disabled cat myself, so I’m used to providing specialized care. I grew up with pets that needed daily medication, so I feel confident in that skill as well. Looking forward to caring for your babies as if they were my own! I work part-time so I have plenty of free time to spend with your pets. I can drop in twice a day or more, depending on my schedule and what you’re looking for. Caring for your pets is a huge responsibility and I assure you that I will prioritize them as my own. You can trust that I will treat your pets as my own. I will spend as much time loving on them as they are comfortable with, but if they are shy or territorial to a stranger in their space, I will respect that too. I will keep everything tidy when it comes to your pet. Nobody wants to come home to a stinky house!
“Ally is a fantastic sitter and took such great care of my cats. They are normally shy around new people but they warmed right up to her. I got lots of photos and updates. Will definitely book with her again!”

“Dayna is fantastic. My dogs really liked her. She was extremely flexible as my plans changed several times. She sent lots of pictures and let me know what was happening with my fur babies every step of the way. I will definitely trust my babies with her in the near future. Highly recommend her.”

“I can not find the words to express the gratitude and peace of mind I had while I was out of town, leaving my sweet, affectionate kitty in the care of Angela. Thank you Angela for always being there when you said you would be, and for giving My kitty love and cuddles. I will ? % use Angela’s services in the future…. ??”

About: I've been around dogs since I've had a working memory. From friend's, family's, neighbor's to my own I've watched and cared for many different dogs of many different sizes and needs. Dogs are a joy and a privilege to care for and deserve the best. I've worked with pups to pops and enjoy both :) I currently work part time in the mornings. Whether your pet/s need to be fed/let out, walked or just needs company I know I'll find time to give them the attention and care they deserve. If I'm pet sitting, I'm able to stay in you're home and give your pets all the attention they could dream of. Chill, lazy dog? Nothing like relaxing outside or watching TV getting pets and cuddles. Adventurous hounds? Lots of walks and play. I tailor the pet care your fur babies need to fit their lives and personalities. I work 1:1 with pet families so that your pets get all of my attention.
“Heather is such a wonderful cat sitter! This was our second time having her do drop in visits for our 3 cats. She does a great job communicating and we love the pictures she sends. Our cats are happy and aren't anxious at all when we come home. We highly recommend her and will continue to use her services! Thank you, Heather!”

About: I've been watching dogs for family and family friends for 15 years now, before I could drive myself. I've watched many dogs with special raw Diets, and dogs that have needed insulin shots. I have never encountered a scenario I couldn't handle. I'm working full-time, but have great hours, and would spend most of my time with the animals. I'm around and available all weekends. My wife and I spend most of our time home on weekends. I have a fenced in yard and 3 dogs of my own. All of which are really friendly. We often have family member's pets over to visit. I also stay at others homes, as that is normally where animals are most familiar and feel the most safe!
“Chris has come to walk our dog several times now and we love working with him! Our dog loves him! He is easy to communicate with and always leaves a detailed summary. Thanks Chris!”

“Becca was an excellent sitter — reliable, communicative, and great with our pup. I appreciated the updates and photos while we were away. Highly recommend and would absolutely book again!”

About: I have a half acre of fenced in yard for dogs to run and play. I’ve had pets in my family my whole life: always dogs, a few cats over the years, a house rabbit, hamsters, ducks, fish, lizards, turtles - so many lovely creatures! I’ve worked with rescues and shelters and have taken care of elderly dogs at the end of their lifespan administering medications orally, injections, and topically. For my other job I do freelance graphic design from home and make my own schedule, so I’m very flexible with my schedule. When pet sitting at my home your pet will have my company throughout the day. I offer check ins, feeding, walking, playing, cleaning up after all pets and livestock at their home. I board dogs and caged pets overnight or for multiple days at my home where dogs have access to a fenced yard at any time of the day, full time supervision, and cozy accommodations.
“Ally did fantastic! She was very tentative and responsive coming to meet my dog and I before heading out of town! She checked in every time and took pictures so I knew my dog was in good hands! She really helped me feel at ease leaving my home and dog for a few days. This was my first time using Rover and I WILL be using Ally again! Highly recommend!”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Mylith Park. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
