Are you looking for a patient, compassionate pet-sitter with extensive animal care experience and reasonable rates? Look no further! I'm a former humane educator with a suburban humane society, where I also provided care for dogs and cats. I'm certified in pet first aid and insured. Over the years, I've rescued, adopted, and placed dozens of cats and dogs. Currently, I'm the happy cat parent to Miss Kitty - a feral cat who decided to move in with me ten years ago.

Once hired, I get as much information about your cat(s) or dog(s) as possible - their routine, personality, favorite spots in the house, eating habits, health status, etc. I offer 30-minute visits. 60-minute visits are available for those pets who need extra attention.

We had amazing experience with Doug! Not only did he take excellent care of our two cats, but he also made sure our many plants were looked after - which is no small task! Doug was great with our cat! He spent a lot of time with him, taking care of all his needs and giving him a lot of attention! We can leave our cat in his care, knowing he will be well taken care of and we won't have to worry about him at all. Doug was excellent - did a pre-visit and asked a number of questions to make sure he knew exactly what to do. He also sent photos during the visit so I could see the cats were doing well too. Will be requesting another series of visits!
Doug was extremely helpful and flexible on short notice. He took notes and listened to all instructions. He did everything that was asked and more. I'm retired and available seven days a week. I serve clients in Lake Barrington/ Barrington, IL and nearby communities. Available most holidays for drop-in visits.
