“Oscar did a great job looking after my pup. He kept me updated and sent pics. She was well taken care of and seemed to enjoy the experience. I will definitely use Oscar’s services again.”

“My girl was well taken care of at Mina’s. She sent me pics of her everyday. She was also very flexible with the timings which I am very grateful for. Thank you Mina!”

“Everything was great! Susan and Darek took wonderful care of our dog and treated him like a member of their family. Our dog clearly received a lot of love and affection and became best friends with their dog. Communication was perfect. They kept us up to date with lots of pictures and videos which really eased our mind. We have never left our dog with anyone but family before, so we were a little nervous at first. Our dog enjoyed his time with them. We are definitely going to book again in the near future.”

“Wiley boarded for 5 days, had a great time. Being with other dogs was great. We’re very happy with his care and his stay. Definitely recommend and definitely will book again.”

“Jennifer was an amazing sitter. I was nervous leaving Mochi for the first time, but Jennifer took great care of her. She sent pictures and videos everyday, and I could tell Mochi was having so much fun. Mochi enjoyed having other dogs to play with. Would definitely recommend and rebook with Jennifer.”

“Dia was great with our pup, from the time we connected for a meet and greet we felt comfortable. Dia provided great communication and photos throughout our dog's stay. We certainly will entrust her with our fur baby again!”

“Ginsberg had a great time while we were gone. Teresa made her a part of the family letting her warm up at her own pace. She loved hanging out in the huge backyard with friends and lounging on the couch watching household activities and sleeping. Highly recommend Teresa. She’s sent lots of pictures and updates so I could see Ginsberg was happy and relaxed.”

“Snickers hadn’t stayed at a “stranger’s” house in years but she adapted well at Paula’s. Snickers thinks that she is too old to play but apparently she LOVED Paula’s big back yard. Snickers was in good spirits when I picked her up and I would definitely use her again.”

“Cortez and Jessica took such good care of my 2 dogs. They sent video and photos of the dogs doing various things that helped to calm my anxiety about leaving them. They have the cutest little dog who seemed to get along well with mine. They were fast to respond to my booking request and set up a meet and greet and very easy to work with. I felt that my dogs were well taken care of while I was gone and will definitely use them again! Thank you Cortez and Jessica!”

“First time using Andria, and she and her family were amazing. My pups had a great time and I could tell from the pics and videos they were well taken care of. I was ready to book them for a second boarding but they were already booked. I can understand why. Thank you Andria and family for taking good care of my pups.”

“Melissa was a great sitter for our dog Dusty. She sent pictures and kept us updated. She was flexible when we ended up being later than expected for pick-up. I'm sure Dusty had a great time and we felt comfortable leaving her in good hands. I would definitely call on her services again if and when the time comes.”

“Dave is great. Cleo had a great time playing with the other dogs! She slept for a day and a half when I got her back and that's incredible for how high energy she is! I would just be cautious if you have a dog that is reactivate or resource guards. There's plenty of dog toys and beds all over the house. I will bring cleo back. Thanks Dave”

About: Hi, I’m Sarah! I’m a lifelong animal lover and the proud dog mom of Bella Rose, my rescued miniature dachshund. Caring for Bella has taught me how important patience, consistency, and gentle attention are, especially with shy or nervous dogs. I treat every pet like I would want someone to treat Bella. I’m attentive to routines, feeding instructions, medications, comfort levels, and all the little details that help animals feel safe. Whether your pet loves long walks, playtime, cuddling, or simply having someone nearby, I’ll adjust to what makes them happiest. I’m also an English student and writer, so I have a flexible schedule and plenty of time to give your pet genuine, one-on-one attention. I’ll keep you updated with messages and photos so you can relax knowing your pet is safe, comfortable, and loved. I’m an online English student and writer, so my schedule is flexible and I spend most of my time at home. Pet care fits naturally into my routine, and I’m available for walks, drop-ins, playtime, feeding, and plenty of attention throughout the day. I already plan my days around caring for my own dog, Bella, so making sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved is a normal part of my everyday life. I follow each pet’s normal routine and all instructions provided by their owner, including feeding, walks, medications, and house rules. I keep pets supervised, double-check doors and leashes, and never leave them outside unattended. In my home, I introduce pets to Bella slowly and carefully, and I can give them separate spaces when needed. I keep my apartment calm, clean, and comfortable, with plenty of attention and rest time. I’ll also send regular photo and message updates so you always know how your pet is doing.
“Always such a great experience! Our pup Mila loves them and their home, and we always feel comfortable leaving our pups with Coddy & Bryon. They are understanding and flexible! We greatly appreciate them and recommend their services to anyone.”

“Sydney was amazing!!! Poor Charlie got sick with 2 parasites right before his visit. He was feeling much better after a few days on medication so Sydney still was willing to take him in. She continued the rest of his treatment which consisted of multiple medications at carousing times throughout the day. She continued to provide us updates through out his stay and reassured us that he was definitely on the up and up the whole time. Her location is ideal for airport travel as she is only about 10 minutes from DTW. We will absolutely use Sydney in the future!! Thank you again!”

“Anya and Tye were amazing with my high energy 1 year old pup, Finn! He loved playing with their dog Tuke and had an amazing time. The minute he walked in the door her was playing and I could tell he immediately felt at home. Anya and Tye were flexible with drop-off and pick-up and sent pictures and updates throughout the weekend. I definitely will be looking to book with them again in the future if they are available when I am away. Finn was a happy and tired pup upon my return and I could tell he had a great time during his stay!”

During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Adding another pup to the pack? Most sitters and walkers offer a reduced rate for additional dogs. You’ll find these exact rates listed under the "Services" tab on any sitter's profile. Since every dog is unique, final pricing may vary depending on the level of care required.
