“Kathy was great with my dog! It was the first time I had to leave my dog alone and Kathy communicated with me throughout the drop in visit and sent photos. I was very pleased. Will be booking aith Kathy again.”

“If I could give Iliana 100 stars I would. She did the absolute best job taking care of my kitties while I was out of town!! One of them has a looottt of needs and got sick while I was gone and she went above and beyond to take care of her the way I would. I am so grateful for such a positive experience!!! She truly made me feel so comfortable leaving and knowing that they were being taken care of ?❤️. Iliana is for sure my go to girl from now on!!! Also an added bonus - she is a phenomenal pet photographer and took some of my favorite pics I have of them to date ?”

“Amazing! First time using Rover and couldn’t have had a better experience. They were prompt, courteous, and kept me up to date the entire time! Highly recommend them and will definitely hire them again!”

“Vanessa was great. She was able to help us out on a last minute booking to drop in and check on our 7 month old puppy. She was even willing to stop by a few hours before we left to give us a chance to meet her and introduce her to our pup. She was on time, sent pictures, and told us all about their time together.”

About: Your dog will stay on our private ranch with plenty of room to play, explore, and relax in a safe, supervised environment. Whether your dog is high-energy or prefers a slower pace, I tailor their care to fit their individual needs. I treat every dog like one of my own and strive to provide a safe, enriching, and stress free stay so you can have peace of mind while you're away. I'm experienced with dogs of all ages, from young puppies to seniors. Having raised multiple litters, I'm comfortable with puppy routines, potty training, and socialization, while also understanding the patience and attention senior dogs need, including medication administration and mobility support. I am not taking on reactive/aggressive dogs at this time unless they can be kenneled outside of the home. Reach out to discuss. Full time dog boarder and trainer working from home. I provide 24/7 care as if your dog was one of my own. Pickup and drop off hours in morning or evening. Very limited afternoon pickup/drop off availability. 5 acres fully fenced in along with smaller fenced in play yards. Home is air conditioned. Dogs can either exercise on the full property if recall trained or in one of the smaller, 6ft tall play yard areas if they need a smaller enclosed area.
“Kieran was super nice and was always on time . He did everything I asked for and though my very shy cat never came out from under the bed , Kieran was fantastic in taking care of her and doing everything that I asked him to do ! I will absolutely hire him again and definitely recommend him to anyone who is looking for a reliable pet sitter thanks Kieran”

“This was my first time using Rover - or any pet sitter and I was a little nervous to be honest. Cindia was very professional, reliable and communicative. She made sure to set up a meeting before we booked her, she asked questions to make sure we were on the same page and was even able to pet and bond with my two very shy cats! She made the entire process run smoothly and we would absolutely book her again. Cindia you did a great job, thank you!”

“We were nervous hiring someone for the first time and Tina’s profile stood out. We met her in person before the services and she seemed like a wonderful person. She watched our cat for 2 days and we got so many pictures and videos. Our boy liked her from the moment he met her during meet and greet and I think she liked him too. Wonderful service and we highly recommend her. We are happy to have found someone that we can use again to watch our pets. Thank you Tina”

“Adrien was awesome with our cats Indy and Sully! They handled feeding, litter box duty, and even gave meds without any issues. We came home to two happy, relaxed cats and really appreciate the care Adrien gave them. Would definitely book with them again! Thank you!!”

About: Animals are my pride and joy! I've cared for many different pets for about 15 years now. I grew up with cats, dogs, and many other species. Previously I've had a pitbull, and currently I have four cats! I also have fostered 12 kittens up to this point. I have already sat for dogs, cats, and bunnies. You can be confident that your pet is in the best hands and will receive top care, as caring for animals is my passion and pleasure:) Pet sitting and taking care of animals is my priority! Right now I only work part time but if anyone needs me to help out I’ll be there! I have four cats currently and I’ve had dogs.I’ve taken care of many other species and breeds for others as well so I am well versed in animal care. Whatever you need me to do as far as routine care I will do as well as give them all my love and attention. I can stay as many nights and days as you need!
About: I have experience caring for dogs and cats of different ages, sizes, and personalities. I’ve helped family and friends by walking their dogs, providing drop-in visits, feeding, refreshing water, cleaning up after them, and giving them plenty of attention and playtime. I understand that every pet has unique needs, and I always take the time to make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved. Pet care fits naturally into my schedule. I work Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, which allows me to provide morning visits before work, evening walks and drop-in visits after work, and flexible availability on weekends. I’m dependable, organized, and committed to making sure every pet feels safe, happy, and cared for while their owners are away. I treat every pet as if they were my own, making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. I carefully follow each pet’s routine, including feeding, fresh water, walks, potty breaks, playtime, and any special instructions. I also respect your home by keeping it clean and secure. My goal is to give your pet the care, attention, and companionship they deserve so you can have peace of mind.
About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was a kid. But, when I acquired more responsibilities was when I moved in with my sister to SoCal and I started helping her take care of her dogs, two schnauzers and one yorkie. I would take them hiking, walking, and to the grooming salon. I would buy them enrichment toys and play with them every evening. Then, when I moved to NorCal for school, I adopted a dog, a Labrador. Now, I do the same as before but with more mental and physical exercise since my dog requires it. Taking care of dogs has always been part of me, my grandma was the same and that’s something she gifted me. I enjoy every aspect of it and the responsibilities that come with it. Dogs are a big responsibility and I will make sure to take care of your doggy, as if it’s mine. I am currently working from home so I have plenty of time to play and take care of your doggy. Currently with Hunter we go out four times a day, two times for physical exercise and potty breaks and the other two times only for walks to go potty. Hunter loves to play fetch and hide and seek. We hide the ball and he searches for it, this is his favorite game and it works for mental and physical exercise. We are very active and we exercise Hunter a lot but if your doggy is not like that, no problem, we can go only for walks and Hunter can play by himself. I have a fenced yard and a catio (patio for cats) where my cats spend most of the day. Dogs don’t have access to the catio since that’s the cats safe place. Hunter and the cats get along but my cats don’t play much with hunter, they are very lazy and only care about sleeping, sunbathing, and wet food. Hunter is VERY friendly, the nicest dog I ever known and loves to play all the time. Hunter has been around dogs of multiple sizes and ages from a 10 year old yorkie to a 2 year old labrador. Hunter is not neutered but he is not aggressive and territorial other than marking plants and trees outside at the park.
“Chelsea was awesome! She sent me lots of cute pics of our pup and kept me updated throughout the dropins! We will definitely use Chelsea again if we are in the area! Thanks so much Chelsea!”

About: Hiii I’m lucero:))! I’ve been around dogs my whole life and love being around them. I’ve had a corgi before and know my way around an energetic dog if ykyk haha. But overall I love taking care of dogs , I’m someone who deeply cares in the importance of taking care of an animal since I’ve a had a dog before and have two cats of my own right now. My goal is to be able to provide a safe, loved, and comfortable environment for your dog while you’re away. What sets me apart from other sitters is I’m patient and attentive. I take the time to build trust with each dog rather than expect that each dog will trust me instantly. I’ll follow instructions down to every detail and keep you updated! Those are aspects I really value too and will make it a priority for you:). I have open availability and able to provide weekly routines for your pet! I’m available for drop ins and pet sitting! Availability on weekdays and weekends at anytime!:) As a dog and cat owner myself, I understand how important it is to feel comfortable leaving your pets with someone. I’ll provide a safe, loving environment, follow their routine, and keep you updated with photos and messages.
About: I currently have a dog and have had another dog previously. I currently work in special education and also support my mother who has progressing dementia. I intend on making sure needs are being met while maintaining and building relationships. I’m working full time as a teacher and going to school full-time. I currently walk my dog the morning before going to work and when I arrive home. I’m flexible on the weekends and some week days. Since I work for the school I get a lot of holidays and week breaks, so I am able to have more availability. I ensure their needs are met by taking them for walks, feeding them, and ensuring they’re using the bathroom. I also give baths to keep them smelling fresh.
About: 🐾Love By Pets. Recommended by humans. Hi! I’m a lifelong animal lover with decades of hands-on experience caring for animals of all ages, sizes, breeds, temperaments, and care levels. Improving the lives of animals is my passion. Every pet that enters my care is treated like family, receiving the same love, patience, respect, protection and individualized attention I would want for my own beloved pets. Whether you have a puppy, a fragile senior, a pregnant or nursing mother, a shy rescue, or a pet with medical, behavioral, or anxiety-related challenges, I provide compassionate, personalized care tailored to their unique needs. My goal is to create a safe, enriching, stress-free and FUN experience that allows pets to thrive while giving their owners complete peace of mind. ✨ Experience Includes: • All ages. Puppies, kittens (bottle feeding ok 👍🏻), seniors, and hospice care • Pregnant animals and nursing mothers • Medication administration and specialized care plans • Medical, behavioral, and anxiety-related conditions • Fearful, reactive, rescue, and special-needs pets • Giant breeds (120–200+ lbs), toy breeds, and everything in between • Bully breeds, guardian breeds, working dogs, and high-drive breeds • Exotic and specialty felines • Birds, reptiles, and small animals • Multi-pet households My experience extends far beyond traditional pet sitting. I have spent years working with animal rescues and participating in Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) and community cat programs, helping care for and advocate for vulnerable animals. These experiences have given me a deep understanding of animal behavior, body language, trust-building, and how to safely handle pets with a wide range of personalities and backgrounds. I have also been honored to participate in efforts supporting families through the Make-A-Wish Foundation, including helping facilitate meaningful visits for children whose wish was to spend time with animals and pets. These experiences further strengthened my commitment to compassion, reliability, and providing comfort during life’s most meaningful moments. Caring for others—both human and animal—is at the heart of everything I do. Communication is one of my highest priorities. You’ll receive regular updates, photos, and honest communication throughout your pet’s stay so you can relax and enjoy your time away knowing your family member is safe, happy, and loved. 💗 What Makes My Care Different? • Personalized, one-on-one attention for the duration • Flexible and accommodating scheduling • Solo daycare available upon request • Extended stays welcome • Customized routines tailored to your pet • Calm, loving, family-oriented environment • Experience with pets requiring advanced handling skills • Care from someone who genuinely loves animals and understands their individual needs Many of my clients become long-term members of my pet-care family. I’m proud to have earned the trust of repeat clients who rely on me to care for everything from tiny teacups and exotic pets to giant breeds, working dogs, bully breeds, seniors, rescues, and pets with complex medical or behavioral needs. I understand that leaving your pet with someone else is a big decision. That’s why I focus on building trust, maintaining open communication, and ensuring every pet feels safe, comfortable, understood, and loved from the moment they arrive. I look forward to welcoming your furry, feathered, or scaly family member and giving them the same level of care, compassion, and attention I would give my own. Because every pet deserves more than just a sitter—they deserve family. 🐾💕 My schedule revolves around pet care already. Caring for animals has been a major part of my daily life for many years through pet care/sitting/walking etc, animal rescue work, and caring for my own pets. While your pet is with me, this is their time and all of my focus and attention is on them for the duration of the booking. This allows me to provide frequent potty breaks, exercise, enrichment, playtime, companionship, medication administration when needed, and plenty of supervision throughout the day. I strive to keep pets on their normal routine as much as possible so they feel safe, comfortable, and at home while you’re away. Whether your pet needs extra attention, a flexible schedule, or specialized care, I’m happy to accommodate their individual needs. Every pet is unique, so I tailor my care to each animal’s individual personality, routine, and needs. Before every booking, I take the time to learn about feeding schedules, exercise requirements, medications, favorite activities, fears, quirks, and any special instructions. Owner guidance and instructions are key to providing the best possible booking and any information provided will be followed closely (and greatly appreciated!). One thing that sets my care apart is that I do not use kennels or crates unless they are already part of your pet’s normal routine and you specifically request it. My goal is for pets to feel comfortable, secure, and at home—not confined unnecessarily. For families looking for a more personalized experience, I also offer accommodations such as Private Doggy Daycare, Private Kitty Daycare, Private Canine Camp, and Private Kitty Camp, where your pet can be the only guest in my care for the duration of their stay. I am always happy to discuss special requests and customize care whenever possible. Whether caring for a tiny breed, a giant breed, a working dog, a bully breed, a senior pet, or a rescue animal with unique needs, safety, comfort, and individualized attention always come first.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Oakley. On Rover:
- 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
