“Dana is the BEST! In our meet and greet, she asked great questions and was enthusiastic about helping take care of my kitties. She sends great pictures and writes fantastic detailed visit notes.”

“Our 13yr old sweet girl Pretty suffered an injury which put her in a cast. My mom is 83 and cant lift her to go to the bathroom so we need to get help. While we were so nervous to have anyone else other than us watch our pup, we found Cindia on Rover and picked her to help our pup and gma. She is so nice and took the effort to make our pup comfortable with her. She also gives her brother, Ozzy snacks! We are so very lucky to have found her. She fills out her Rover card diligently and send updates with every visit. So happy to have her help.”

“Holly is the Best. I’ve used her many times. She shows up on time, friendly with great communication and caring. Not everyone takes Rottweiler’s due to assumptions. Holly has shown nothing but love and care for our Baby. My Honey loves her and I will use her in the future whenever I go out of town.”

“Paulo was everything we asked for our four day getaway. He really loves dogs and was so sweet with Mando. He accommodated everything we asked and our doggy was excited to see him everyday. You can tell that this is really a passion job for Paulo. Please book with him!”

“Vanessa was great. She was able to help us out on a last minute booking to drop in and check on our 7 month old puppy. She was even willing to stop by a few hours before we left to give us a chance to meet her and introduce her to our pup. She was on time, sent pictures, and told us all about their time together.”

“Sabrina is absolutely amazing! She is responsive and communicates throughout the time she’s with the pets. I am so fortunate to have found Sabrina to look after our 4 cats during the Holidays and look forward to having her take in my pups the next time we travel.”

“Stacey is the best, highly recommend! She took such great care of our cat, Michi. He is very particular and requires alot of care and attention and Stacey really went above and beyond to make sure he was loved and fed :). She truly loves animals and was very thoughtful and considerate in every way. She will go out of her way to make sure that every aspect of your pet's care is addressed. Very responsible, always on time and very communicative. We definitely intend to work with Stacey again!”

“We were nervous hiring someone for the first time and Tina’s profile stood out. We met her in person before the services and she seemed like a wonderful person. She watched our cat for 2 days and we got so many pictures and videos. Our boy liked her from the moment he met her during meet and greet and I think she liked him too. Wonderful service and we highly recommend her. We are happy to have found someone that we can use again to watch our pets. Thank you Tina”

About: I have been taking care of pets (none professional) since I was in diapers, I also currently volunteer at Antioch Animal Shelter. I have more experience with pets 1 year+ but I’m comfortable with younger pets as well. I do have another job but we get to pick our own schedules so there will be no issues there. I can work with your schedule I treat pet sitting like babysitting, your baby, your rules. Whatever you decide for your pet is what I will do no questions asked. I would never want to come into someone else’s home and change the way you do things. If there is anything I’m uncomfortable with I will be sure to communicate it effectively and immediately.
“Amazing! First time using Rover and couldn’t have had a better experience. They were prompt, courteous, and kept me up to date the entire time! Highly recommend them and will definitely hire them again!”

“Kieran was the best! He took great care of my cats. Giselle loved him from day one and Giuseppe even eventually decided Kieran wasn’t so scary after all and came out of hiding. All the updates were detailed and he called if anything was out of the ordinary to get clarification or further instructions. I’m extremely happy with the services he provided.”

“This was our third time booking with Joseph. He's become our go-to pet sitter for our pets while we're away. He's been fantastic every time. We will definitely book him again in the future for any other pet sitting needs. Highly recommend”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in West Hartley. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
