About: I am a high school English and Theatre teacher. We love our pets and treat them like family! I have had dogs and cats my whole life and make sure they get a lot of attention. I have a knack for understanding dogs’ body language and individual needs. Our family dog is a Frenchi named Louis. We have taken care of all sizes of dogs with various energy levels as well as had cats over the years. I love nature walks with dogs and like to make sure they are living their best lives. Cats get snuggles and playtime too! Pets are family! I can do early morning or evening walks on weekdays and anytime on weekends. I'm currently going to school to be a veterinarian so taking care of fur babies helps me stay motivated on my long journey. Right now my college is on summer break! So I'm free until night/evening time, when my team has practice for two hours, but other than that, I really don't do anything. Your fur babies will have my undivided attention! When I enter your home and meet your fur baby(ies) for the first time, I will give them the time and space they need to adjust to me. Caring for animals has been a major part of my daily life for many years through pet care/sitting/walking etc, animal rescue work, and caring for my own pets. While your pet is with me, this is their time and all of my focus and attention is on them for the duration of the booking. This allows me to provide frequent potty breaks, exercise, enrichment, playtime, companionship, medication administration when needed, and plenty of supervision throughout the day. I strive to keep pets on their normal routine as much as possible so they feel safe, comfortable, and at home while you’re away. Whether your pet needs extra attention, a flexible schedule, or specialized care, I’m happy to accommodate their individual needs. Every pet is unique, so I tailor my care to each animal’s individual personality, routine, and needs. Before every booking, I take the time to learn about feeding schedules, exercise requirements, medications, favorite activities, fears, quirks, and any special instructions. Owner guidance and instructions are key to providing the best possible booking and any information provided will be followed closely (and greatly appreciated!). One thing that sets my care apart is that I do not use kennels or crates unless they are already part of your pet’s normal routine and you specifically request it. My goal is for pets to feel comfortable, secure, and at home—not confined unnecessarily. For families looking for a more personalized experience, I also offer accommodations such as Private Doggy Daycare, Private Kitty Daycare, Private Canine Camp, and Private Kitty Camp, where your pet can be the only guest in my care for the duration of their stay. I am always happy to discuss special requests and customize care whenever possible. “I have never used a dog walk service before but was going out of town and thought it would be a nice treat for my dog who was already having someone come to feed and take him out for bathroom breaks. Vanessa did a great job and I just know my dog was so happy to have someone take him for his walks. About: I have been an AKC Dog Breeder for 37 years for Great Danes and Boston Terriers. Stay at home mom except for 2 years at a Doggie Day Care, only left due to pregnancy. Extremely knowledgeable in pet 1st aid and dog socialization. Have not met a dog yet that does not like me. I have the time to play with, exercise, walk and enjoy every dog/cat in my home. All dogs will be fed separately to avoid any possible aggression. Dogs are only left outside during potty breaks and playtime, other than that they are indoors inside my home. If your dog needs to be kept separately no problem. I am am an empty-nester, pretty much always here except for running errands and doing drop-ins with a very supportive and helpful husband that is always willing to help out. I do not have a huge yard, but plenty of room to play and it is all soft artificial turf and concrete so your dog will not come home dirty. The fence is new and extremely secure. I have 2 dedicated dog rooms in my home with crates, beds, blankets and toys that they will sleep in. My dogs are extremely well socialized and love to play with new friends. I also do have a set up for dogs that like to sleep alone and be let out and have play time on their own. I do not work outside the home other than for Rover, so my schedule is extremely flexible and I can usually accommodate most scheduled drop of and pick up times. My yard is fully fenced with a NEW sturdy fence, locked gate and new artificial turf. All boarders and day care animals are treated like one of my own. Please come meet me and visit my home and see if this would be a good fit for your babies. For drop-ins they will get love, play time and anything you have requested - I do stay the entire time and possibly longer! Experience with disabled and seniors and giving oral medication and injections. Pet care is my daily routine, basically the focal point of my life. The animals in my home are my priority, loved, attended to and very well taken care of and spoiled. They are allowed on furniture and beds unless specified otherwise by the owner. All pets are treated as individuals based on their needs and their socialization skills, energy level, age and personality. My house is very clean as well as my yard - you will never find any waste in my yard. Water is changed constantly.
