From golden retrievers to rottweilers to lovable mutts whose breeds still remain a mystery—I’ve had ‘em all :) I understand that every dog, like every person, has a unique personality and individual needs. I dog-sat through college for some extra cash until I got a dog of my own. I’d be delighted to get to know your fur baby! I’m brand new to Steamboat and extremely flexible at the moment. I will be Snowboard Instructing during the Winter so just need some money to get through the Fall! I make sure to puppy-proof all areas and create a clean and safe environment for your pet. I stack up on all necessary equipment (toys, food, snacks, medication, etc.) I will take the time to get to know your pup’s exercise schedule and accommodate accordingly.

About: I have been watching dogs through rover for the past 4 years. My family has always had dogs. I have walked and dog sat for neighbors and coworkers, and stayed overnight in numerous households for dog owners away. I’m a seasonal worker in between jobs at the moment. I am moving to Colorado and hoping to take care of some animals with all my spare time! I love to give the dogs I’m caring for as much attention as possible. I am very active and love to go on long walks, hikes or bring dogs to the beach. For those that aren’t as active, I am also happy to hang out in their company with a book or a movie.

About: Hi! My name is Katie. I work full time as a nurse at the hospital. I have always had a passion for animals. I volunteer at the local shelter and have a little 12 year old chihuahua myself. My schedule is very flexible, and I am happy to make it work to suit the needs of yourself and your pets! Working full time as an RN is only 3 nights a week, so I have a great deal of availability and flexibility! Message me for more info 😊 I have a large living room with hardwood floors and can provide treats, dog beds, and blankets to make your pet more comfortable. I live right by the core trail and am happy to take your pets for long walks all over town.

About: I grew up with a lot of dogs and cats. I have always loved playing with them and taking them on walks. I have spent time at a dog rescue walking dogs and cleaning their kennels. Right now I am working part time as a gardener. I have Monday and Friday and the weekend available. I will also have evenings after 4 available. I have a nice apartment, that has a court yard for your dog to run around in. I have two very friendly cats as well.

About: First, I live in Craig, but willing to try to make pickups work in Steamboat, meeting halfway or we travel for the gym often, so please don't hesitate to reach out to discuss. We have a large yard that is great for active dogs. There is always an adult in the house to watch/care for your pup, my mother in law lives with us, Mark is home often and we have 2 kids, ages 10 and 12. I enjoy being around dogs, and feel comfortable dealing with some simple behavior issues. I am very specific with my dog and willing to be as specific with yours if needed. I am active and can give walks daily. Please don't hesitate to let me know if any special needs and I'll do my best to be accommodating. I am active lifestyle and so going on walks and waking up early are part of my normal process. I am willing to work with any situation as best I can. I maintain control of situations and always attentive to behaviors or signs of fear or aggression to make sure it is addressed before any issues arise. I used to train horses when I was younger so the patience and consistency is something I've grown up with towards animals.

About: I will treat your pup with the love and detail I treat my own. Grew up with dogs and currently have a 6 year old field golden retriever named Thule. I have 8 years of experience working with dogs professionally, including volunteer work with Midwest Animal Resue and Services on the Receiving and Adoption team. I also own and operate a dog care business locally, Steamboat Pets. I’m insured and certified in dog CPR/First Aid. Dog care is my life, literally! I quit my corporate job of 13 years to care for dogs in the Steamboat Springs and surrounding communities. I will take your lead on what your dog needs - you know best! I will also have back up supplies, especially when staying overnight or going out on long hikes.

About: I've done overnight house stays for several families in the Yampa Valley this year. Longest stay was 10 days. I love getting to know the dogs in the Valley and getting to go on great walks with them. I provide quality pet care and can provide references. When doing overnight house stays, on weekdays, I feed and walk the dogs before I go to work (I start work at 8am), and then after I get off work I come home to feed and walk them again. On weekends it is much easier, and I have all day to walk and feed them. I treat the pets with total respect and love. If the pets require any specific medication I can certainly administer it to them in their food.

My expectations of sitting include but are not limited too, keeping your pet active, keeping a normal feeding schedule, and giving out lots of pets. Currently, I am newly graduated and in between the start time of my career. I am a free agent that’s openly available as long as there is clear communication. Any animal I look after, I care for them as if they are my own. Bathroom breaks, walks, activities, and feeding routines will be continued as if you never left.
