“Kayleen was the ultimate professional - I felt totally comfortable leaving my cats with her to look after them. She came with a clipboard and info sheet to the home tour and checked in regularly throughout my trip. One kitty was sick and she cleaned that up and keep me posted as to the situation, and after we got home she checked in to see how he was doing. I'm definitely booking Kayleen again the next time we travel!”

About: I grew up on a ranch and have worked on a ranch as an adult. I have fostered several dogs while their parents sorted things out. Hank and I love meeting new furry friends! We have a very loving home. Hank still enjoys playing with other dogs, even if he can't for very long! Hank was very instrumental in training Little Willie, A very sweet Terrier that became family! I work from home and only leave the house for short periods of time (no more than two hours). Dogs have 24 hour access to the yard which is pretty Houdini-proof! Hank used to climb the chain link fence! We have a fenced yard, dog door and plenty of comfy spots to nap! Hank loves company and will be a good buddy to your dog!
About: I have taken care of dogs my whole life and love them deeply. A tired dog is a happy dog is my moto for me I currently work full-time in Steamboat so I would be able to work in both towns Craig or Steamboat typically 7am to 3pm Wed to Sunday I would primarily walk in parks or on trails. Within parks and core trails dog parks and river side owners are welcome to come on any walk
About: I have always had family pets. Growing up we had an Australian Shepherd for 18 years so I know how to handle both young and old dogs. I currently have a mini Aussie, Olive, who is 5 so I am used to energy as well. We have also always had cats in my family and have recently welcomed a new kitten, Gnocchi. I have lovingly cared for my own pets and others including for families I previously nannied for. I hope I can be a good fit for you and your furry family! I currently work full-time Tuesday-Saturday. I can take walk breaks if needed during the day and can do mornings/evenings. On my days off I am available for all day care. I have a kitten and mini aussie who love their space but are willing to share it with the right friend. I prefer to come to you but can make an exception for the right fit after safe introductions. I'm easy going and understand the intricacies of each individual animal so am willing to make any accommodations you would like!
About: First, I live in Craig, but willing to try to make pickups work in Steamboat, meeting halfway or we travel for the gym often, so please don't hesitate to reach out to discuss. We have a large yard that is great for active dogs. There is always an adult in the house to watch/care for your pup, my mother in law lives with us, Mark is home often and we have 2 kids, ages 10 and 12. I enjoy being around dogs, and feel comfortable dealing with some simple behavior issues. I am very specific with my dog and willing to be as specific with yours if needed. I am active and can give walks daily. Please don't hesitate to let me know if any special needs and I'll do my best to be accommodating. I am active lifestyle and so going on walks and waking up early are part of my normal process. I am willing to work with any situation as best I can. I maintain control of situations and always attentive to behaviors or signs of fear or aggression to make sure it is addressed before any issues arise. I used to train horses when I was younger so the patience and consistency is something I've grown up with towards animals.

About: I love dogs and love to take care of them. Our dog is deaf so I certainly know how to give extra love and will surely give as much love to every dog and make sure they have fun and love their experience. I will always take great care of each individual dog, by giving them treats, letting them run around at the dog park, playing with their favorite toys, and taking them on walks around the neighborhood. My dog piggy loves to find a new best friend all the time and loves every dog he meets. I don't have much experience with pet care, but I'm willing to learn more about it and provide the best care for your best pal and make them happy
“Absolutely wonderful to work with! Her communication was absolutely amazing and she treated our home and more importantly our baby girl with so much kindness and respect we have no words! We 100% recommend her!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Craig
We had such a wonderful experience with Kayleen. From the very beginning, they were professional, reliable, and clearly had a genuine love for animals. They took excellent care of our pets while we were away—sending thoughtful updates, photos, and making sure everyone was comfortable and happy. Our pets warmed up to them immediately, which says a lot, and it gave us such peace of mind knowing they were in good hands. They went above and beyond, not just feeding and walking, but really spending quality time with them. Even our house was left in perfect order when we returned. I can’t recommend Kayleen enough. If you’re looking for someone trustworthy, caring, and dependable to watch over your furry family members, this is the person to call!

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
