“Jordan from Rover was awesome!! The dogs liked her right away and had fun playing with her even when the outside weather was lousy. Her messages to us were great and we knew that everything was ok with our dogs. Will definitely call her again when we go out of town!”

“Sarah was great and my kitty was very well looked after! She was very responsive and easy to communicate with. Would definitely book her again. I know my cat appreciated the company 😊”

“Megan was terrific! She's totally dependable and went above and beyond, even doing things for us we hadn't thought of. She took good care of our cat, and we couldn't be happier with her care! We will book her again. Thank you Megan.”

About: My experience comes from caring for my own dogs and dog sitting big dogs for friends who don't want their pups to stay in their comfy familiar home while they are away. I've owned labs, huskies, shepherds and collies. Most recently I had two collies that have travelled with me around the world. Sadly both have passed recently So I'm without a dog of my own but love having them around. I am happy to meet new dogs of all ages and breeds. I love large dogs too but my place may be too small for some but I'm happy to meet up and see what works. I work from home a lot and am very flexible to drop in or take your pup(s) for a walk. I run most days and can have pups join if that's something they like. I am very cautious about dog handling and will follow your instructions. I will only care for dogs in my home after I've taken care of them at your home and I am familiar enough with the dog so that I am sure it will be ok in a new space and that I can accommodate its needs.
“This was our first time using A by to watch our two cats and she was fabulous. Her calm manner out my two shy kitties at ease. She was great at reporting back to us I. How they were doing and sending along many photos so we could see how they were doing We look forward to Abby's next visit when we go out of town!”

“Shay took great care of our kitties! She was very responsive and sent lots of fun photos & updates. Our very shy cat even felt comfortable enough to come say hi a few times, which was amazing!”

“Rainie spent extra time with my cat and took great care of him while I was away. Rainie even went beyond expectations and cleaned up my space after she left. I really appreciate her attention and care for Taz!”

“Caitlin was a wonderful caretaker for our bunny! I really appreciated how responsive Caitlin was to all of my messages. Caitlin was also very punctual for all of her visits and took great care of our bun. I look forward to having Caitlin visit Pee Wee again in the future!”

“I am a repeat client of Olivia and she is always amazing! Always cleans the cat bowls and did the litter this time even though it was a short stay and I said I wouldn’t need it so it was one less thing to worry about when I got home. My cats are warming up to her beautifully and she spends time with each one of them while here. Definitely have a lot of peace of mind when I’m gone knowing she’s taking care of them.”

“Amazing once again! My dog was nervous during the visit and Armani was incredibly patient with her- ended up winning her over and making sure she was all taken care of! Cannot recommend enough!”

“Sean was great with our 9 year old aussie/corgi. We travelled from Canada and visited Vins Bird rehab Centre while Sean took care of our dog "Willow". Sean responded quickly and was easy to communicate with. He sent updates, pictures, location, and timings for return. Willow had a great time under his care. I wouldn't hesitate to contact Sean again.”

“Evelyn took great care of our senior cat during our Christmas vacation. She spent real quality time with her, and we came home to a happy, playful cat. We especially appreciate her dedication during a white Christmas, driving in snowy conditions every day. Highly recommend her drop-in service!”

“Sammy did a great job looking after my energetic kitty for a few days. She came twice a day and played with her and sent me many pictures! I was nervous about leaving my kitty for the first time, and she put my mind at ease. Will book again!”

About: I have worked in veterinary medicine for over 6 years and have been a pet owner most of my life. I have had a hospice dog and have a soft spot for senior animals. I currently have a Siberian husky, a husky/shepard mix and 2 cats! I currently have a flexible schedule that allows me to be available as needed. Animals are a significant part of my life and I look forward to helping you and your family. I am available for dog walks, drop ins, or pet sitting. I have 2 dogs and 2 cats as part of our family. They are definitely spoiled but also well trained. I take pet care very seriously, every animal deserves respectful and loving care. My dogs require a lot of activity due to their breeds which has given me a lot of experience with high energy, high needs dogs.
“Samantha was excellent, she went above and beyond to be communicative and ease our concerns about the snow storm our area got while we were away, and our cats were very happy and clearly well loved!”

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Norwich. On Rover:
- 100% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 92% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 100% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
