“Tara did a great job with both of my dogs (an Aussie and a Chihuahua mix). She followed my instructions well, sent detailed updates with photos 2-3 times a day, and our house was in great condition when we came back. I'm a pet sitter myself, and Tara surpassed my (admittedly high) standards! I've already got her booked for another stay. :)”

“Absolutely incredible!!! I trust her with my babies any and every time! She left the house clean and even washed the sheets and made the bed! Wow I’m so impressed!”

“Rachel is the best. I’m a worrier. My dogs are my fur babies. I felt complete confidence in Rachel within minutes of meeting her. Came home after being gone for three nights to happy well cared for fur babies and she took good care of our home. I can tell from the notes she texted and left in the house that she truly got to know my dogs personality and my dogs behavior upon my arrival clearly showed that they enjoyed themselves while we were away. Rachel is wonderful!”

“Kaelin did a wonderful job taking care of our house and two dogs for six days while we were out of town. She sent pictures daily and seemed to really enjoy her time with the dogs. I recommend her services wholeheartedly!”

“Nicole took great care of my two pups! Very attentive and loving on my doggies! I ended up extending my trip and Nicole was super flexible and responsive! Already sent another booking request :)”

“Calvyn was great with our 2 cats plus we trusted him to stay overnight while we were away for 2 nights. Our cats have certain behaviors, like our male likes a lot of attention and he likes to drink out of the faucet. Calvyn paid attention to both. Calvyn communicated regularly to tell us his schedule and accommodated our request to bring in delivered packages. Our house was left exactly how we left it and with a perfectly clean litter box. He notified us when he was leaving and sent us pictures so we could see what they were up to while we were traveling home. We highly recommend Calvyn and will hire him again.”

About: I've cared for a wide range of animals in my life; but mostly cats and dogs. I've grown up taking care of cats and dogs and I find it very easy and fun to work with them. I've raised kittens and puppies, as well as elderly animals. I have no issues with feeding, walking, or cleaning up after any animal. During the end of 2024 and the beginning of 2025, I have some time off from college and want to spend that extra time interacting with pets! I can work every day of the week and the weekend and can also do overnight care. I have a very reactive dog at my house that can be hard to control, but I'm able to get him on walks without escaping my grip. I'm stronger than I look! But I also treat animals with the utmost respect and kindness. I don't believe in negative reinforcement and I will treat your pet like royalty!
“Ayla was an incredibly respectful, friendly, warm, and engaging sitter for my dog and cats. She asked specific questions about the animals and my house during our meet and greet, which made me feel comfortable and confident that she genuinely cared. During the stay, she spent significant time with my pets so they weren't lonely, sent me regular, detailed updates and pictures, and proactively communicated with me about my pets' needs. I will absolutely hire Ayla again in the future, and I highly recommend her to anyone else!”

“Tammy was absolutely fantastic! She took great care of Astro and provided lots of updates and pictures throughout the weekend. She also left our home in better condition than we left it in, stripping her bed and even taking in our mail and packages. We will definitely use Tammy again!”

“Sam was a fantastic sitter for my dog. He was thoughtful in how to become acquainted with her, her routine and need for snuggles. He kept me updated with the right amount of pictures. He is now on my favs list.”

“Becca was available for a last minute trip to watch the pups! She loved on them, sent pictures, and spent time with them each day. It was so lovely being able to relax and know the pups were being cared for so well! I will definitely keep Becca as one of our sitters and would use her services again and again!”

“All three of our pets, two dogs and a cat, warmed right up to Julia. She made sure to understand all of their needs and routine, spent good quality time caring for them, and provided thoughtful updates and photos.”

“Morgan is fantastic! Reliable and super nice and competent. We felt super comfortable having her stay in our house with our senior dog. When coming home we found a happy dog and a clean house. I can only recommend her! Thanks, Morgan!”

About: I have had dogs my entire life. I have experience working at a boarding kennel with many different types of dogs such as senior dogs, disabled dogs, dog aggressive dogs, and puppies. I groom my own dogs and have groomed family member's dogs before. I also volunteer at Saving Grace. I am on summer break, so I am pretty open throughout the summer up until the beginning of August. I will not be able to accept any bookings after that due to the fact that I will be at college. I offer complimentary meet and greets with your pet. I will cater to your dog's schedule during home visits and respect your house rules.
“Olivia took such good care of my boys while I was away and sent updates with pictures on every visit!! My two cats had so much fun with her, definitely put my mind at ease while I was gone knowing they were in such good hands!”

“Whitney was absolutely fantastic, and we could not have asked for a better house sitter for Beau and Gracie. From the start, she was communicative, thoughtful, and clearly experienced with dogs. While we were away, she kept us updated with regular messages and photos, which gave us total peace of mind. Beau and Gracie were clearly comfortable and happy with her, and it was obvious she took the time to understand their routines, personalities, and quirks. Our home was also left in great shape, which we really appreciated. It is not easy to trust someone with both your pets and your home, and Whitney exceeded expectations on all fronts. We would not hesitate to book her again (and are actually already booked again) and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and attentive sitter.”

About: I recently graduated from NC State University with a degree in design and a minor in zoology! Now that I’m in post-grad life, I’m working remotely and looking to spend time doing what I love most: hanging out with animals. While I’ve shared most of my life living with cats but dog sitting has actually been my main thing! Long before downloading the Rover app, I was primarily dog sitting for people in person—starting back in 2020 when I pulled double duty babysitting both toddlers and their fur babies. Needless to say, dogs know I'm a trusted friend! From energetic medium and large breeds to the sweetest small pups, I love them all—that absolutely includes our precious senior dogs! I have a huge heart for older pups who just want company to hang out with. Because of my background with cats, I am an absolute pro at routine. I run a tight, loving schedule—timely meals, plenty of playtime and walks, and endless cuddles tailored to exactly what your dog likes. Your pup will be in the safest, most attentive hands. I’ll keep you completely in the loop with consistent updates. Plus, as a design grad, don't be surprised if a a simple portrait of your pet lands in your inbox as a bonus :) Since I work remotely from my laptop, my schedule is flexible, allowing me to easily prioritize your babies whenever they need attention. I will be at your home for the majority of the time, only popping out occasionally to grab food or run quick errands. I absolutely adore my own cats and treat them like royalty, so you can rest assured your fur babies will receive that exact same level of love and quality care! To ensure they have the best experience possible! I always make it a point to learn about their specific routines, favorite toys, safe zones, and any necessary medications ahead of time :)
“Carolina was great. She took care of our dog Rudy while we were gone and paid attention to his special care/medicine needs. She stayed in our home and was clean and courteous. Would recommend and use again!”

“Chenelle did such a wonderful job. Her meet and greet was thorough. She left thoughtful updates and sent tons of pictures outlooks times a day. She even was able to handle a maintenance emergency at the house while I was gone!”

Northeast pet parents share their Rover experiences
Nicole was so amazing with our shy boy Walter. She was super patient with him and by the second day he was totally comfortable with her. She took him for all his walks and made sure he was eating enough (he's very un-motivated with food.) This was our first time using a pet sitter and we would definitely book Nicole again.

We used Morgan a few years ago to watch our two golden retrievers, and are so happy she is back in our area to again care for our dogs. She is very communicative and prompt. Sends lots of updates and photos which we appreciate. We would absolutely recommend using Morgan to care for your pets and look forward to continuing to work with her in the future.

John is a wonderful dog companion (as well as a nice human!) During our 17 day trip we had lots of great photos and videos. Our dog was happy and relaxed with John's care in our home. We were glad to be able to focus on our travels knowing he was in good hands. As a bonus, John kept an eye on our yard which benefited from his watering.

I could not have asked for a more caring dog sitter for my sweet dog Ducky. Albani was not only attentive to my dog, she spent quality time with her and took pictures to back it up. My home was ln the same great condition I left it in. I felt very comfortable having Albani as a pet and house sitter. She is at the top of my list to rebook should I need her help again.

Ayla did a great job—this was my first time using her, and I was a bit nervous after having a bad experience with a house sitter in the past. From the start, Ayla assured me she would take care of everything I asked, and she absolutely delivered. She sent me daily pictures of my two cats and my pup, which really put my mind at ease. Her communication was excellent and such a relief, especially since I’m very Type A and like things done a certain way. She followed all of my instructions perfectly. I came home to happy fur‑babies and a clean house, just as I left it. 😊 I would absolutely use Ayla again and highly recommend her.

Elise did a wonderful job taking care of our pets and our home! She was communicative throughout and very responsive when we needed to reach her from overseas. She left out home in the best shape possible, and did laundry to wash everything she used as well. Really great experience and we won't hesitate to book with her again!

Raven was/is PHENOMENAL!!!! My fur babies warmed up to her immediately @ the meet and greet. Her demeanor is very calm and professional. She followed all instructions, called when clarity was needed, communicated regularly with photos and videos, extended her stay at my request, talked to the neighbors when their dog put a small hole in the fence and kept my house crystal clean. I get anxious everytime I leave them, Raven gave me peace of mind...She is truly one of the best sitters, I will DEFINITELY be calling upon her again.

Claire took great care of my 1 year old pup, Jack. She sent many updates with photos while dog sitting which helped me have a peace of mind and know that he was in good hands. Claire is easy to get in touch with and very responsive. Great house guest and I hope she will watch Jack again!
