Anely is an excellent sitter very warm ,affectionate and accomodating . We were traveling through Providence and had to keep our dog Cookie with her for two days consecutively and this was our first time with her. She absolutely made sure Cookie felt at home with her and also provided him with food ,walk ,toys plays etc. Cookie usually has anxiety issues at times so we were bit picky about choosing the right kind of day boarding for him. But Anely was a perfect choice.Though she was sitting few more dogs on those days but that never became an issue for our Cookie, so needless to say she is also expert at her job. It was because of Anely that we could enjoy Newport and other attractions of RI so much without having to worry about how Cookie is doing. She also sent us hourly updates with pictures over texts. I strongly recommend Anely to all other pet parents. Thank you so much.

Our sweet pup had so much fun with Marie and her husband for the days we booked. So much more joy and excitement we haven't seen in her in the mornings getting ready to go for the day to her new friend's house and more still when she was ready to come home. Will only trust this couple with our baby.

We’ve had a great experience with Trish. Gizmo is still new to us and can be sensitive with transitions, and she has been incredibly patient, calm, and accommodating from the start. He settles while he’s there (even if he hasn’t slept yet), and it’s clear he feels safe and well cared for. She’s kind, attentive, and truly understands dogs who need a little extra gentleness. I’m so grateful to have found someone I trust and feel comfortable leaving him with. Highly recommend!

Jessica is a GEM!!!! I was nervous about finding someone to take care of my pup who can be nervous in new situations/people and had some health stuff going on, but Jessica did everything to make her feel comfortable and cared for, and now my girl LOVES hanging out with Jessica and Abu!! Jessica also did everything to make ME, nervous dog mom, comfortable by sending lots of sweet videos and pictures of my pup having a grand ol' time. Jessica is the best!

About: Hello my name is Mary-Ann, I live in a single family home with a fully fenced in yard in Cherry Hill Estates in Johnston, RI. I don't leave dogs outside unattended. I’ve been blessed to have dogs for my whole life. I would love to open our home and couch to your fur baby in need of a safe, loving and caring environment. I currently have a fur baby named Buddy who is a Senior Bichon Shih Tzu mix who absolutely loves other dogs. He is very friendly and up to date on all his shots. My husband works from home full-time and I work from home 3 days a week. So, your fur baby won’t be alone. I know Buddy doesn’t like to be alone. I live in a quiet walkable neighborhood which allows us to take leisurely walks and a big fully fenced in back yard. I also have a dog door that leads out into a fully enclosed Dog Pen to access anytime for the potty. Pets are part of our families, and I know it’s important to make them feel comfortable and keep them safe at all times which will give you peace of mind while you are away. Qualynda was amazing with our puppy. She watched her for us on very short notice and went above and beyond to care for her and keep us informed. Our girl is pretty timid and was scared at first but warmed up quickly and had a great time. She especially loved running around the big backyard! We will definitely use Qualynda again!

About: I grew up with black lab mixes, having at least one dog in the house all the time. I helped to raise two of the family black lab puppies through 15 years and care for the next generation, a 2 year old black lab/border collie rescue pup, teaching her to sit and lay down. I’ve cared for all kinds of dogs over the past few years, learning patience from puppies, strength from sweet old ladies, and the careful nuance that comes with leash aggressive rescues. I now have an adopted a rescue greyhound in the family. She loves new friends but is also perfectly happy cat napping wherever her bed lands. Happy to host or walk, with or without her company. I’m full time at home and so I am free to do breaks and provide limited entertainment between meetings, which are never more than 1.5h. This is the schedule I provide my own pup and would extend to others. I treat them as my own. I prefer to be over communicative with owners if any potential issues arise as well. Greyhounds react particularly poorly to negative feedback and punishment, so patience and focus on pawsitivity (particularly treats) is a standard with me.

It’s obvious why there are so many high reviews for Briana! She took great care of Caroline and was very honest in her feedback about where Caroline has room to grow and how I can help her get there. I love that level of candor and I appreciated the time she took to walk me through her recommendations for additional training and socialization. Looking forward to Caroline becoming a regular of hers and learning the best manners from her dogs.

Winston usually barks at new people he meets, but barely barked when he first met Misael and then was obviously very comfortable with him quickly. I received several photos and updates on what they were doing and Winston was exhausted and happy when we picked him up. Planning on booking another stay in the future!

Sonia is absolutely fantastic! My dog Isla had an amazing time and was so happy and tired when we picked her up. We'll definitely keep rebooking going forward! Having just adopted my dog ~6 months ago, this is the first time we've left her with anyone other than family and I have to say I was SO comfortable and happy knowing that she was in great care. Sonia sent pictures almost immediately to let us know Isla was settling in and more to follow up during the day. Highly, highly recommend Sonia-- wonderful experience knowing that my dog was in the best possible hands!

About: Hi! I’m a lifelong animal lover with years of experience caring for both dogs and cats of all ages, sizes, and temperaments. Whether your pet is playful, shy, or somewhere in between, I’m confident in creating a calm, loving environment that fits their needs. I work from home full-time, which means your pet will have plenty of attention throughout the day—and with a beautiful park right next door, daily walks and outdoor time are part of our regular routine. I genuinely treat every pet like my own, giving them the care, affection, and respect they deserve. Looking forward to meeting your furry family member! Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine since I work from home and have a flexible schedule. I start the day with morning walks (the park next door is perfect for that), and I build in time for play, feeding, potty breaks, and snuggles throughout the day. Evenings usually include a final walk and some wind-down time. Whether it’s a short visit or overnight care, I make sure each pet gets plenty of attention and care woven into my day like they’re part of the family. In my home, I create a safe, calm, and pet-friendly space where your pet can feel comfortable and cared for. I stick to their usual routine as much as possible—walks, feeding times, play, and rest—to help them settle in easily. I live next to a park, so daily walks and outdoor time are a big part of our day. Pets have full access to cozy spaces, and I’m always nearby since I work from home.

About: I’ve been around animals since the beginning of my life. I grew up with cats & dogs, small & large. I started learning about dog training in 2020, I trained my first service dog in 2022. I’m always working to learn more & continuously improve my knowledge. Body language is a huge factor when it comes to taking care of dogs & making sure they’re comfortable in their environment. I’m great with puppies as well & can help out with basic training. Any questions please feel free to ask! I work from home, so I start my day by taking my dog out to our apartment property’s dog park to use the bathroom, & get play time in, then I bring him in to feed him breakfast. If dog parks make you uncomfortable, I can always take your dog when the parks unoccupied. For meal time I make sure all dogs are separated from each others food. If your dog has trouble eating I always keep toppers on hand or different types of food such as, raw/cooked/air dried/& freeze dried. In the case there’s a medical emergency we have an emergency vet 15 mins down the road. If your dog needs to be crated when left unsupervised or for bedtime we have a crate sized for medium/large breeds. Animals are allowed on furniture & the living room is dog proof with lots of toys & beds, we keep the kitchen & bathroom off limits to prevent anyone from getting into something they’re not supposed to have. My dog has also been trained to be gentle with small animals as well to make sure everyone is comfortable & safe in their environment. If your dog eats too fast I offer slow feeders in my home.

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of September 2026, there are 757 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across North Scituate. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your North Scituate commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:

  • For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
  • For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
  • For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in RI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 757 sitters in North Scituate, 89% respond to messages in under an hour.

You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
