“Devorat is a god send! Pepper and I are new to RI, therefore leaving her to spend the night with a new sitter made me uneasy. Given that this was her first night away from me in RI, Devorat went above and beyond to ensure that both Pepper and I were comfortable with her space by arranging a meeting prior to the booking. Devorat has a large space that includes an enclosed yard for active dogs. That is on top of the dog walks they did together. I appreciated that, as did Pepper. Devorat sent check-ins in the form of photos and videos letting me enjoy my mini vacation with ease. I can’t wait to book with Devorat again soon. Highly recommend!!”

About: I grew up with black lab mixes, having at least one dog in the house all the time. I helped to raise two of the family black lab puppies through 15 years and care for the next generation, a 2 year old black lab/border collie rescue pup, teaching her to sit and lay down. I’ve cared for all kinds of dogs over the past few years, learning patience from puppies, strength from sweet old ladies, and the careful nuance that comes with leash aggressive rescues. I now have an adopted a rescue greyhound in the family. She loves new friends but is also perfectly happy cat napping wherever her bed lands. Happy to host or walk, with or without her company. I’m full time at home and so I am free to do breaks and provide limited entertainment between meetings, which are never more than 1.5h. This is the schedule I provide my own pup and would extend to others. I treat them as my own. I prefer to be over communicative with owners if any potential issues arise as well. Greyhounds react particularly poorly to negative feedback and punishment, so patience and focus on pawsitivity (particularly treats) is a standard with me.

About: Retired military medic used to have and to help friends and battle buddies when their animals had to go when they had to go overseas or on TDY work trips and things like that also help friends and things too. I am very by the book so if you leave me a list of rules and what needs to happen I'll make sure it gets done. I have a very open schedule. I work from home so if you need me at any point in time I can make it fit within my schedule. For the safety of your pets and things, I usually like to do a quick visit to make sure that we're going to get along. I know if it is a cat that a lot of times trust needs to be earned with them and that you can't just pull them out from wherever they're hiding a lot of times it's earning their trust for them to be come out and be friendly. You do not force it on them.
About: Growing up I always had a dog or two. I had worked at a dog daycare facility professionally for 8 years. During my time there, I've taken care of various puppies to their adulthood and senior dogs. Since the facility is cage-free, I dedicate myself to ensuring the dogs have fun, are safe, and love in our care. Currently, I have two medium and large dogs who constantly love to play, whether it is water play in the backyard, going on walks, frisbee or just relaxing in our backyard! I'm currently a nursing student on and a part time barista. I only work part-time for a few hours a day, usually morning until noon time, so your pet will receive lots of attention, playtime, potty breaks, and companionship throughout their stay. My goal is to make every pet feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away. My two dogs are very friendly and social with other dogs. I have a two-level yard, a six-foot fence all around the yard, and a door your pups can easily access to potty or play. I can also provide in-house food unless your pups have allergies and need to improvise. My house is cage free but if you’d like your pet to be crate I can improvise that.
About: As a child I grew up with two dogs and a cat. I am a true people person as well as an animal lover! I have taken care of family, friends, and neighbors pets while they are away. I have fostered dogs in the past and currently have two cats at home! I am currently working as a registered nurse so my schedule is very flexible throughout the week and weekends. I work 3 12 hour shifts per week. I'm willing to help out when I can and work around my schedule. I assist with feeding and companionship with both animals in my home and the services I offer. I often do care in the clients home while away on vacation but would also be willing to come over for just a walk or a little play time.

“Devorat is a god send! Pepper and I are new to RI, therefore leaving her to spend the night with a new sitter made me uneasy. Given that this was her first night away from me in RI, Devorat went above and beyond to ensure that both Pepper and I were comfortable with her space by arranging a meeting prior to the booking. Devorat has a large space that includes an enclosed yard for active dogs. That is on top of the dog walks they did together. I appreciated that, as did Pepper. “We couldn’t be happier with the care Matt and Patty provided for our Golden Retriever during the 10 nights we were out of the country. From the very beginning, we felt completely comfortable leaving him in their care. We were able to visit their home beforehand, and they have a wonderful setup, including a large, fully fenced backyard with plenty of room for him to play. They truly cared for him as if he were their own. When we returned, we came home to a very happy puppy, and we could tell he had been loved and well cared for the entire time. We are so excited to have found Matt and Patty. Finding people you can completely trust with your dog while you’re away is incredibly important, and we feel very fortunate to have found such reliable, attentive, and genuinely caring sitters. We would absolutely recommend them and will not hesitate to have them care for our dog again!”
