About: I grew up with black lab mixes, having at least one dog in the house all the time. I helped to raise two of the family black lab puppies through 15 years and care for the next generation, a 2 year old black lab/border collie rescue pup, teaching her to sit and lay down. I’ve cared for all kinds of dogs over the past few years, learning patience from puppies, strength from sweet old ladies, and the careful nuance that comes with leash aggressive rescues. I now have an adopted a rescue greyhound in the family. She loves new friends but is also perfectly happy cat napping wherever her bed lands. Happy to host or walk, with or without her company. I’m full time at home and so I am free to do breaks and provide limited entertainment between meetings, which are never more than 1.5h. This is the schedule I provide my own pup and would extend to others. I treat them as my own. I prefer to be over communicative with owners if any potential issues arise as well. Greyhounds react particularly poorly to negative feedback and punishment, so patience and focus on pawsitivity (particularly treats) is a standard with me.

About: I’ve had a dog of my own for a while and also have taken care of my neighbors pets for long periods of time! From walks, baths, feeding and playtime, I’m experienced in taking care and having fun with dogs of all ages. My dog in particular was a senior and she dealt with arthritis and liver disease, which would limit her ability to do certain things like long walks and going upstairs, or even eating. I do have the experience of taking care of senior dogs that may need this special treatment. I also walked King (pictured) as a volunteer for PAWS NY. This organization has volunteers who walk and/or take care of pets for those who are unable to do so themselves. My job is remote, so I can work from anywhere. My hours are also very flexible, so I am able to work around your schedule! I am also available anytime on the weekends! My area is safe and very pet friendly. The neighborhood is very residential, and there are a few parks nearby. There is also plenty of accessibility and perfect for pets!
About: I have taken care of dogs since I was 5. I currently have two dogs one 8 and one 7 at my parents home where I currently live. My brother and sister in law also have two dogs 2 and 1 years old. When my parents and them travel, I am in charge of the 4 of them at my house and we are all on a routine where everything is under control and still having fun. When needed, I do go to my brothers to take them for a walk and play with them to break up their day of being in the house. I have availability for drop-ins and dog walks in the mornings and afternoons (6am-3pm) every day except Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Safety is my #1 priority while pet sitting. I will follow any instructions you give me for taking care of your pet. As for dogs- your dog and I will always take the quieter and less busy route and avoid people and other pets to prevent any unfavorable mishaps. A fenced-in yard is always preferred for playtime, but if you do not have a fenced-in yard than your dog will always be on the leash while we are outside to prevent any runaways. If you have instructions to put your dog in their crate upon leaving, I will always make sure they go into their crate comfortably and latch the hooks completely. In regards to cats, when entering and exiting the house I use extreme caution to make sure the cats do not run outside. I am also Pet CPR and Pet First Aid certified so you can rest assure that your pet would be tended to if an urgent situation were to arise.

I now have four cats, one with a thyroid disorder and diabetes, so I am very professional at administering the proper dosage of medicine in a timely fashion, whether it be in pill or shot form. All in all, I’m a professional wedding photographer looking to book up my spare time with adorable little faces to tend to! I had previously volunteered at a community cat shelter for a year but found it very difficult not to bring home kitties (my cat Hansel won my heart this way). I figured, this way, I’m able to help animals and animal lovers without the feeling of wanting to save every cute face I meet!
