About: The first time I left my dog with a rover sitter I thought "What's a polite way to tell them that if they hurt my pup, I will dunk them in a toilet?" We'll take care of your pets like they were our own, which is to say with lots of love and protection. We have two dogs here, including our volunteer concierge Ripley, who will exercise and interact with your pup as much as they'd like. She's an extremely friendly corgi/jack-russell mix, so they'll leave tired. We have a large fenced yard, plenty of toys and treats, and lots of room to play. We like to go to dog parks on weekends to keep our pups socialized, and there's always room in the car for some more buddies.

About: I grew up with black lab mixes, having at least one dog in the house all the time. I helped to raise two of the family black lab puppies through 15 years and care for the next generation, a 2 year old black lab/border collie rescue pup, teaching her to sit and lay down. I’ve cared for all kinds of dogs over the past few years, learning patience from puppies, strength from sweet old ladies, and the careful nuance that comes with leash aggressive rescues. I now have an adopted a rescue greyhound in the family. She loves new friends but is also perfectly happy cat napping wherever her bed lands. Happy to host or walk, with or without her company. I’m full time at home and so I am free to do breaks and provide limited entertainment between meetings, which are never more than 1.5h. This is the schedule I provide my own pup and would extend to others. I treat them as my own. I prefer to be over communicative with owners if any potential issues arise as well. Greyhounds react particularly poorly to negative feedback and punishment, so patience and focus on pawsitivity (particularly treats) is a standard with me.

As for dogs- your dog and I will always take the quieter and less busy route and avoid people and other pets to prevent any unfavorable mishaps. A fenced-in yard is always preferred for playtime, but if you do not have a fenced-in yard than your dog will always be on the leash while we are outside to prevent any runaways. If you have instructions to put your dog in their crate upon leaving, I will always make sure they go into their crate comfortably and latch the hooks completely. In regards to cats, when entering and exiting the house I use extreme caution to make sure the cats do not run outside. About: Growing up I always had a dog or two. I've been working at a dog daycare facility professionally for 8 years. During my time there, I've taken care of various puppies to their adulthood and senior dogs. Since the facility is cage-free, I dedicate myself to ensuring the dogs have fun, are safe, and love in our care. Currently, I have two medium and large dogs who constantly love to play, whether it is water play in the backyard, going on walks, frisbee or just relaxing in our backyard! I'm currently a college student on summer break, which gives me plenty of time to provide attentive care for your pets. I only work part-time for a few hours a day, so your pet will receive lots of attention, playtime, potty breaks, and companionship throughout their stay. I also work part-time at a dog daycare facility, giving me experience with dogs of different sizes, personalities, and play styles. My goal is to make every pet feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away. My two dogs are very friendly and social with other dogs. I have a two-level yard, a six-foot fence all around the yard, and a door your pups can easily access to potty or play. I can also provide in-house food unless your pups have allergies and need to improvise. My house is cage free but if you’d like your pet to be crate I can improvise that.

About: I have two dogs of my own that I’ve had since puppy-hood. Ever since I was a kid, my heart would joyously melt in front of any and every four legged friend. I love getting to know other animals, and take care of them as if they were my own. I got my start pet sitting by looking after my friends and neighbors’ dogs and cats on occasion. At present, my longest cat sitting gig was 3 weeks straight in which I stayed with my fur friend for ~6-8 hours a day just to keep her company. I work remotely, so my workstation is mobile. In this was I can make most pet-sitting tasks and hours work— while assuring your pets have company, enrichment, and supervision. (As an aside, I go by both Vera and Amanda and use them interchangably) I work remotely 10am-6pm monday-friday. Ideally, i prefer to visit pets and take care of them anytime before 10am, but my calendar is very flexible. My workstation is mobile, so if desired, I can keep your pet company for extended periods of time during the day. I’m also available all day on the weeknds. I have 2 dogs that I love dearly and walk 2-3 times every single day at routine times. I brush them frequently, I strap on little booties for their paws daily to protect them from the hot pavement, and I play with them to their little hearts content.

I love animals I am extremely flexible throughout the summer and can walk dogs early in the morning to beat the heat! I am a senior retired from the post office and I am open to all hours. Would be great to get up and walk your pet.
