About: Experienced caring for dogs of all sizes, along with house cats, rodents and reptiles. Particular experience with medium and large size dogs who are anxious/reactive. Rates lowered while I establish myself on Rover. I work from home, so your dog will get a lot of attention when I care for them (and they'll probably get a nickname or two). Walks, bathroom breaks, visits to the dog park, and lots of pets and ear scratches all fit into my daily and weekly schedule with ease. I am willing to book outside of my typical radius for an increased fee to offset mileage, gas costs, and time. I have a lot of experience with anxious dogs in particular, so am used to reading what a dog needs and wants with a close eye. I take care to make sure that a dog is comfortable with me, that I respect their boundaries, that I respond to their needs, and that we remove ourselves from any situation that might upset or overwhelm them. I often ask a pet owner for details about their dog's usual routine, any particular habits they have, their behavior on leash, and what gives them comfort. This helps me better respond to what the dog is sharing about their needs.

About: Hello! My name is Brenna and I am a speech therapist in the Chicago area. My husband and I have a Frenchie, Albert, and a cat, Frank, who are very spoiled! Also they are both fully up to date on their vaccinations. I have 2 years experience watching dogs on Rover of a wide breed, size, and age range. Additionally, I have a year of experience volunteering at an animal shelter, walking dogs and feed and caring for cats. I grew up with labradors and I adore dogs of all sizes! About: I have been helping care for dogs both personally and as a friend since middle school. I began walking my own dog for an allowance in elementary school and loved it so I began to walk dogs for neighbors and family friends in middle school. Since then I have continued to work with dogs helping friends and family complete basic training (Sit, Stay, Lay, Leave it) and continued to learn more about dog behavior, activity needs by breed and body language. When walking your dog you can expect a minimum of a 1 mile walk/at least 20 minutes of actual walking time (or less if requested due to animal's health and abilities). I will ensure your dog is able to take in the sights and smells along the way and is engaged mentally to get some energy out. I work from home and am pretty flexible around my workday meetings. I have regularly scheduled reoccurring meetings from 9-930 on Mondays and Wednesdays but am flexible otherwise. When caring for your pet in your home you are the boss. I will follow any rules, routines or boundaries expressed by you and agreed to by me. Additionally, I will be respectful of your pet and your space. This means monitoring and respecting their behaviors and body language, keeping a clean space in your home, cleaning any mess made by feeding your animal, and cleaning accidents they may have had if provided the needed tools and supplies. About: Eric and Rachel share a love for their beloved Aussie-beagle Lilo and fostering rescue dogs together. We know that it is never easy to leave your beloved dog with someone new, and in a new place. As our own Lilo has struggled with separation anxiety before, we know how important it is to have a pet sitter who is present, patient, and able to cater their care towards a dog’s specific needs. Rachel has taken care of 6 different family dogs growing up, including a border collie, golden retriever, Boston terrier, 2 mixed breeds and a silky terrier. Eric has taken care of his family dog (chihuahua mix) since birth till now (9 years old). Together, we have fostered 12 rescue dogs these past two years, ranging from high energy Great Pyrenees to 3 Border Collie puppies all at once, to a completely afraid and anxious Beagle mama and Shiba Inu mama that are recovering from very difficult situations. We have also looked after a Rhodesian Ridgeback and an American pit bull. Our own dog is a 2.5 year old Aussie-beagle. We both have lots of experience working with dogs of all kinds of temperaments and needs, especially high energy dogs who require a lot of attention and care, and administering medication to dogs who have special needs. Rachel also loves cooking her home cooked meals for her dog, and can do that for yours too, if you need! We both work from home and have all weekends free. Our flexible schedules together allows us to bring dogs regularly on walks and to look after them consistently. We follow instructions really well, and can take care of your dog according to your requirements. We allow dogs to roam and sleep freely in our home, but we can also crate your dog easily if you prefer. We know how to work with your dog with lots of gentle care and love.

About: I’ve been taking care of animals all my life but have professionally done in the past 6 years! I love spending time around animals and I also stay hyper vigilant if there’s any issues going on! I am currently working in sales where I spend all day in Costco, so I'm looking for a way to get outside and make a new community of friends, and get some walk and play time in with a furry friend! Always more than happy to make time for your pet! I have a cat named Theo and he gets fed on a schedule three times a day, which seems to the perfect mix. I like to keep pets on a schedule and active so that they’re getting all the enrichment and care that they need! If there’s not a fenced in yard, I’m happy to go for a walk!

About: As many other animal-lover's, I have had animals in my life ever since I was born. My very first pet was a black cat named Korn that my parents adopted right before having me! Ever since I have never been without animals in my life. I'm knowledgeable in care for cats, dogs, reptiles and other herps, fish, birds, and horses. I personally have two German Shepherds, a cat, and crested geckos. My dogs I got as puppies and trained them with my mother, so puppy duties are easy for me too! Additionally, I used to work as an adoption manager and took care of two facilities that specifically adopted out cats, so I've worked with many different kinds of cats of different ages and disabilities. I have a plethora of experience with many different species and breeds of those species! My schedule is completely open and flexible. I'm able to be molded into your schedule as you need it! Some Saturday's or Sunday's I will be vending at fairs, but they're not often and only a few hours during the one day! I take care of my own animals whenever I am home. I have two german shepherds, one cat, and crested geckos. The mammals in the house all have the same food schedule. My dogs get lots of outside and inside playtime with me and each other! I love playing with Eva too, and she is big into snuggles (drool city when petting her). I also have crested geckos and have their own personal schedule I attend to (feeding 2-3x a week, watering daily, handling the young ones to get them adjusted to human touch.

If planning on boarding or daycare, my apartment is very dog-friendly, with many residents having pets and there are plenty of amenities available, whether walking around the neighborhood on leash or playing in the apartment’s fenced in dog run, that will give your pet what it needs. I can easily crate, take out for potty breaks, etc. I am also mindful of dog reactivity regardless of my own or neighbor’s dogs.

About: Happy, loving, patient and playful pupsitters who have experience working as kennel manager, dogsitter, and lifelong dog lovers. We love and care for all creatures big and small and happen to love dogs as though they were our own children (and they are.) My partner Jessie and I share all dog duties in our house. Someone is around the house every day of the week, as Jessie often works from home, and our two pups are always home. We strive to never leave our own pups alone for no more than 4 hours so there's always time and room for bathroom breaks. And if the weather is nice we leave the backyard door open for them to roam free (in a fenced area). It is the most ideal place for a dog to have room to move about, activities to entertain, and loving caretakers to help them live their best life. We have a fenced in yard and plenty of space to roam, along with healthy wildlife distractions, fun toys, plenty of snacks, and generous room inside the house for everyone to feel cozy, warm or cool, and always nurtured.

Dog walks are therapy, and I'm happy to dose meds, clean ears, or spend extra time throwing the ball (or snuggling with a senior buddy). I currently have wide-open availability and very flexible hours. I have organized sports I play in on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, which I simply work around for nighttime/evening potty breaks. We also have a balcony so we like to people watch together in the mornings ! If your dog is not into other dogs or high energy, my pup is also crate trained.
