“Lifu took such good care of Tater, ensuring he was well taken care of and comfortable. I will absolutely be having her walk and stay with him again. Very grateful for her competence and kindness.”

About: I have cared for other people's dogs--roommates, friends, neighbors--since childhood, many decades! I've lived with cats, dogs and birds. I said goodbye to my rescue Westie of almost 17 years during 2025, and I’m not ready for another long-term pet commitment yet. I puppy trained her (with trainer) from 4 months and provided senior care for the last few years. I am very patient when meeting new animal souls, allowing them to come to me when they’re ready. I have been taking shelter dogs on Afternoon Adventures and have been successful with helping to train dogs in my care. I am working part time and have a flexible schedule, and now that I'm pet-less, I am available, even on short notice. I have been going on walks/hikes in our beautiful parks (over 2 miles) and would prefer some four-legged company. I am very good at following your instructions, respectful of routines and choices you make, and sensitive to furry companions' needs. I'll send you lots of pics! I will board low-maintenance/energy pets in my home, not puppies or kittens.
About: I started overnight pet sitting last month, and most of my experience is with cats. Before last month, my experience entailed drop-ins for cats to feed and play with them, and change their litter. I have cared for senior cats and senior dogs, and am comfortable with administering medication. I am currently between jobs and have lots of flexibility for pet care. I am open to sits ranging from one night to several weeks long. I look forward to helping you! I'll treat your fur babies with love and care, and your home as I would my own. I enjoy helping others and making their lives easier in some way. I aim to give people peace of mind by caring for their pets and home, so they can fully enjoy their travels or focus on what they need to do while away. I follow pet parents' guidelines to the letter to ensure that their little ones are treated the way they deserve to be, and are used to! I can also be counted on to leave your home as I found it. For cat sits, I can care for up to three cats per stay, and for dog sits, I can care for up to one per stay. I can also do sits with one dog and one cat together. And, I'm a plant lover and am happy to look after any plants :)
“Breanna was very responsive and took great care of Fitz. He is shy and cautious by nature, but seemed very comfortable and happy in the photos and when I returned. I think he had a great time!”

About: I have taken care of dogs my whole life. As a teen when I would babysit it always include a pet in the house. In college I would dog and house sit frequently and in the last 10 years I have had my own dog-one a pitbull who has passed, as well as two beagles.I have cared for dogs of all ages as well as all breeds. I also do well with dogs who are not friendly on aleash. I am curretnly a dance teacher and work part time at stretch lab. I have a lot of flexibility in my schedule that allows me to be available to care for your pups! I have a beagle who is 3, I adopted her last year. We have done a lot of training as she was kept in a mill, she has lots of energy and loves long walks.
“Jade is very attentive to all instructions and especially to our dog. She bonded with her quickly and devoted a lot of time and energy to keeping her happy and active. Jade took care of our home and used resources sparingly.”

“Marlita was absolutely amazing! She was kind enough to meet Lou ahead of time, and listen to all my crazy cat mom instructions, haha. She was SO communicative during my trip and sent me so many pictures and videos! It really reassured me; leaving Lou at home during my trip was my biggest worry and having such an amazing caregiver for him took a huge weight off my shoulders. She's definitely his permanent babysitter now, haha. She cares so much for animals and you can tell she truly enjoys being with them. ?”

“Stephanie was very friendly and communicative. She provided frequent updates and pictures. My dogs take a while to warm up but they were able to. She came in clutch as a last-minute sitter for the MDW.”

About: I've had 5 years of dog caring and have raised 3 puppies. I have successfully taken care of multiple breeds of dogs of different sizes. Moreover, I know how to interact with multiple animals, cats, and dogs. I like to pay attention to their needs and play around. The sole joy of being in the company of a pet is my reward! I paid attention to my pets needs and other dogs needs. I have taken care of friends pets as well as puppies. and find that it is important to showcase love and affection for every pet. In terms of potty training, I'm quite capable of perceiving when they want to go. Will adhere to dogs dietary needs as well as engage their attention.
“Jay is the best. My Thunder who is a 75lb American Pitbull loves him and for anyone with this breed that once they trust you there is no such thing as personal space. This breed gets a bad reputation but they are cuddle buddies. Book him now and often you will not regret it!”

“Melina and Fernando spent 2 days looking after our senior vizsla in March. Melina was not only gentle but super attentive to our pup’s needs. She took great care in making sure our dog was comfortable, on schedule for breaks, and well taken care of. The most stress free 2 days of pet care we have ever experienced. Highly recommend!”

“Temi was quickly responsive and was able to help watch my dogs when my last minute trip came up. Thank you so much! He does an amazing job caring for my babies and sending me updates about them. You will not regret booking him to watch your fur babies!”

About: Hello, I’m a 27 year old who has loved animals their entire life. Currently I don’t have any pets but while I was younger my family always had animals in the house. I’ve had the pleasure of growing up around dogs and cats. When I moved away from home I started pet sitting for family friends and neighbors. I have pet sat cats, dogs, even a parrot and a snake. I love caring for other people's pets and understand the love and care that is expected when taking on this job. Caring for animals is one of my favorite past times. I currently freelance so my availably is extremely open. That also means your pet will get my full attention for any care they need. I work from home so I will have ample time to care for the pets. I also live walking distance from a park so walks will not be a problem. I don't currently have pets but the way I would care for pets in my home is by paying as much attention as I can to them. Making sure they are well fed, comfortable and relaxed.
“Our dogs love Susi so much. She is the only sitter we trust to give them the best care. She is our go to for dog walking, drop ins, and overnight stays. She can walk both of our rambunctious dogs who pull, give them extra snuggles, and always sends the best pictures. She is a dog whisperer who loves animals and they love her right back!! Susi, you’re the best thank you for always taking the best care of our boys ❤️”

“Nicole was the first pet sitter I ever used, and I couldn't have asked for a better person. She was professional, highly communicative, and adept at caring for my senior rabbit and cats. My senior rabbit required medication throughout, which she managed well. It was reassuring to have Nicole there for my pets, and her evident love for animals and experience shone through. Amazing Housesitting! I would highly recommend her with a 10/10 rating.”

“Great service! Brad is an excellent communicator, and took great care of our dog and home. He kept me up to date and was always fast to reply. Our house was spotless when we returned and he was very tidy (which was also important to us).”

North Ironbound pet parents share their Rover experiences
Jin is truly one in a million. We have two older dogs, and one of them unexpectedly became the most ill she has ever been while Jin was dogsitting them. Jin took her to the emergency vet and was up at night taking care of her, going above and beyond what I ever could have asked for. When my other dog contracted the bug from our first dog, Jin was quick to attend to her too. She was communicative, compassionate, and so incredibly attentive. She truly cared for them like they were her own! I really can’t say enough about how wonderful Jin is, how grateful I am that she was there for our pups, and would recommend her to anyone who wants the best possible care for their pets and peace of mind.

She was absolutely wonderful with my dog! I needed someone last minute, and she was so flexible and accommodating, which I really appreciated. She took such great care of him and made me feel so at ease while I was away. She communicated with me so well throughout the visit and sent lots of pictures and updates, which meant so much to me. It was clear he was happy and in great hands. I would absolutely book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone caring and trustworthy!

We were delighted to be Joni’s first customers! We had a very last-minute, heavy-lift request for Joni and she did a fantastic job. We have a young puppy that can’t leave our apartment or be left alone for more than a few hours, and we needed someone to watch her for a full week. She was also on a special diet and meds for some tummy issues. Joni stayed in our apartment and not only took care of our puppy but also took care of the apartment and left it in better condition than we left it! Joni is a sweetheart and I believe she’d put her all into any dog entrusted to her care.

Khoula (Jeremy’s wife) is great!!! Milo adores her and he’s always so happy after he’s spent time with her. she sends lovely little updates of our pup! She’s flexible and easy to communicate with. Highly recommend her and am always going to come back :) 13/10!!!

I booked Rachel last minute, and she was quick to respond. She’s incredibly responsible, respectful of our home, and, most importantly, she was so sweet with my puppy, Oliver. She sent updates and pictures throughout the day, and he looked so happy. I’ll absolutely be booking her again whenever I need a sitter for Oliver! Highly recommend!

Deb was great with Pebbles (formerly Mogwai). Pebbles is our new 10 month old puppy. We adopted her about 1 1/2 weeks before we had to go away for the weekend so we were very concerned about Pebbles adjusting. Everything went fine. Deb understood what Pebbles needed and kept us informed during the weekend. It made for a smooth weekend. I would highly recommend Deb to anyone!
Natasha was not only great with our dog Bruce but also a respectful house guest. She sent images of Bruce that kept us smiling while we were on our vacation, and we knew he was having a good time with her. I think she gave Bruce more walks and quality time than we’re usually able to give - so we hope to have her stay next time we’re out of town, too.
