Calm Caring Fun House & Pet Sitter
I have cared for other people's dogs--roommates, friends, neighbors--since childhood, many decades! I've lived with cats, dogs and birds. I said goodbye to my rescue Westie of almost 17 years during 2025, and I’m not ready for another long-term pet commitment yet. I puppy trained her (with trainer) from 4 months and provided senior care for the last few years. I am very patient when meeting new animal souls, allowing them to come to me when they’re ready. I have been taking shelter dogs on Afternoon Adventures and have been successful with helping to train dogs in my care.

Joni was amazing! Followed my instructions to a T, sent plenty of photos and updates. Even offered to water my garden during a heat wave! Came home to two happy and well loved animals, a clean house, and some lovely fresh flowers placed in water. Can’t recommend Joni enough.
I could not have been happier with Joni's house sitting and care of my cats. She is extremely kind, patient, calm and warm, and my two cats responded well to her immediately. One of my cats takes medications twice a day and getting him to take his pills is quite challenging. Joni was successful in giving him all is medications ever day. Joni communicated with me daily and sent wonderful pictures. My apartment and cats all looked fantastic when I returned! I give Joni my highest recommendation, and I greatly appreciate her excellent work.
Joni took fantastic care of my shy foster Millie and has been incredibly accommodating with my last minute request. Even managed to plan for a meet and greet which absolutely helped Millie feel comfortable the next day for the actual sit. Joni sent many pictures and updats and my mind was completely at peace knowing Millie was in her gentle care. Joni also was very thorough with Millie’s schedule and routine, perfectly punctual, and very respectful of the house, leaving no trace behind! Thank you Joni!
Joni is the best! She is always there when needed. I suffer from extreme migraines and typically have to request walks with not much notice. She always comes with a smile on her face and ready to take care of my baby!
Joni was a wonderful sitter for Tigger! She communicated well throughout the stay and took great care of him — including giving him his medication and gently comforting him when he was scared. The only minor hiccup was with the Rover card check-in timing (either forgetting or tapping a bit too early), but that’s a small thing. Overall, I’d highly recommend her and would definitely book again!
From the second we met Joni I knew our dog Poppy would be in great hands. Poppy immediately felt comfortable with Joni and didn't even look back as we walked away during the drop off. Joni was in touch with us with pictures and messages about what Poppy was up to several times a day. We would recommend Joni to anyone who is looking for a loving and reliable pet sitter. Dates de la garde
I am working part time and have a flexible schedule, and now that I'm pet-less, I am available, even on short notice. I have been going on walks/hikes in our beautiful parks (over 2 miles) and would prefer some four-legged company.

I am very good at following your instructions, respectful of routines and choices you make, and sensitive to furry companions' needs. I'll send you lots of pics! I will board low-maintenance/energy pets in my home, not puppies or kittens.
Une journée type
I've been going on walks and hikes in local parks, like Branchbrook, Weequahic, and Riverfront. I have a car to travel a little further, like South Mountain Reservation, Brookdale Park, Loantaka Park and more. I used to take my dog and my neighbor's dog on walks with my razor scooter or fold up bicycle--I would ride, she or they would trot alongside in no-traffic paved park areas. They LOVED it! If your dog is game (and leash-trained), we could get more exercise in that way, especially if they are very high energy.
