“Tim was great! It was very nice to be able to get away for a few days and not have to worry that Dunkin was well cared for. He sent us pics of Dunkin enjoying a popcorn party. Dunkin loves his popcorn! Tim also let us know if there was anything going on at the house. There was an issue with a drain backing up (not Tim's fault). Tim contacted us and we were able to implement a work-around until we arrived home to fix the problem. Overall, it was a very relaxing mini get away to Orlando.”

About: I grew up taking care of multiple cats and dogs, and would take care of my neighbors' pets while they were away. While I spend less time at home now, I still always take care of my two very lively dogs when I return! This summer, I am working part-time, virtually, and asynchronously, so I am available all days of the week, around the clock! Pet care fits well into both my daily and weekly routine. I care for pets the way I have always cared for my pets: I give them lots of love, time, and energy, staying attentive to what they want to do. Having lived with pets my whole life, I am equally capable of working with puppies or kittens as I am with older dogs and cats.

About: Highlight: I am experienced with aggressive and reactive animals! I have had animals in my home and life as long as I can remember. I have cared for countless dogs, cats, and small animals. At one point in my life I had seven dogs and a number of other pets. I have been providing independent pet care since late 2015. Animal care and rescue is my greatest passion. I am skilled at handling dogs and other animals of all ages, sizes, and temperments. I have worked with aggressive and reactive dogs and have experience deescalating conflicts when they arise. If you want a pet caretaker you can count on who will treat your animals as well as their own, I'm your gal! I am operating my pet care business, Mainely Pets - Care & Products, full-time! This means I have lots of availability to care for your pets, but for house-sitting in particular it is best to reach out significantly in advance to ensure I can fit you in! Sunday bookings are restricted to things that *must* occur on that day in order for me to try to have some level of work life balance. I take utmost care to keep animals in my care safe and properly contained. I make sure to follow whatever rules and structures are in place for the animals to ensure their safety. Pets are always leashed inside before heading for a walk and the leash isn't unclipped until we are back inside with a closed door. I am vigilant in looking out for potential risks (e.g. other animals, cars, unsafe things they could eat, etc) and making sure to give them a wide berth. In my own home I have any small animals carefully segregated into rooms that predator animals don't go into. Anytime I leave the room, I do a check and verify that all predators are outside the door so nobody can get hurt. I monitor the dogs around the cats to make sure all interactions are safe. I have utlized crates and baby gates when necessary to keep animals safely contained and/or separated in the past. I am skilled at containing flight risk animals and watching out for their safety. I am also fully insured and bonded through Pet Sitters Associates (PSA).

About: I have had dogs and taken care of dogs and cats since childhood. In my more recent years I have dog sat for family members and neighbors. I have enjoyed being able to give peace of mind to them knowing their pets are safe, happy, and cared for. Owning a dog and cat myself I understand the stress and fear of having to leave your pets. Whether it’s work, vacation and other life events it can feel like you’re leaving a piece of your heart behind while you’re away. I strive to bridge that gap and be able to provide peace of mind. My dog is a rescue and came to me with some behavioral challenges: fear, reactivity, resource guarding and separation anxiety. Since being with me he is a thriving boy with manners and is learning new skills and tricks every week! That being said I don’t scare easily and have experience managing a variety of behaviors. I know from experience leaving a pet that has some big feelings at times can be even more challenging and thats where I come in. To offer you peace of mind knowing your dog or cat will be safe and cared for with me. I firmly believe in the saying no bad dogs and would love to get the opportunity to take one worry off your plate while you are away! I have summers off and am able to be around as much or as little as needed for your pet in the summers as that is a busy time for vacations. I do structured schedules with play, train walk and rest times with pets. I can also create scheduled enrichment times throughout our time together. I try to cater what we are doing based on needs of the dog so they are fulfilled.

About: I'm a genuine dog lover! I've always trained my dogs on basic tricks and commands.I'm aware that dogs have their own personalities, fears, and strengths. I work part-time. I have a flexible schedule. I'm open to having dogs in my house throughout the week and some weekends, if needed, and also just walks. I don't have a fenced yard. However, I will be with them out in my yard to assure a safe environment. I'll take them hiking or for walks around my area. They are welcome inside my house to sleep and rest.

About: Animals have always been my passion, I work as a Veterinary Technician in Waterville full time caring for people’s beloved pets. From kittens to farm animals and everything in between. I have experience with all types of breeds, and temperaments. I look forward to meeting your pet! I work a full time job, Monday-Thursday. I have availability most weekends and evenings.
