About: Animals have always been my passion, I work as a Veterinary Technician in Waterville full time caring for people’s beloved pets. From kittens to farm animals and everything in between. I have experience with all types of breeds, and temperaments. I look forward to meeting your pet! I work a full time job, Monday-Thursday. I have availability most weekends and evenings. I can be very flexible and available during lunch hour 12-1 as well. I own a home in quiet Clinton Maine, with my three friendly dogs, and two cats. My husband and I spoil our pets and share a passion for animals. Animals have free range of the house and plenty of space to run with a fenced in back yard.

About: I grew up taking care of multiple cats and dogs, and would take care of my neighbors' pets while they were away. While I spend less time at home now, I still always take care of my two very lively dogs when I return! This summer, I am working part-time, virtually, and asynchronously, so I am available all days of the week, around the clock! Pet care fits well into both my daily and weekly routine. I care for pets the way I have always cared for my pets: I give them lots of love, time, and energy, staying attentive to what they want to do. Having lived with pets my whole life, I am equally capable of working with puppies or kittens as I am with older dogs and cats.

About: Highlight: I am experienced with aggressive and reactive animals! I have had animals in my home and life as long as I can remember. I have cared for countless dogs, cats, and small animals. At one point in my life I had seven dogs and a number of other pets. I have been providing independent pet care since late 2015. Animal care and rescue is my greatest passion. I am skilled at handling dogs and other animals of all ages, sizes, and temperments. I have worked with aggressive and reactive dogs and have experience deescalating conflicts when they arise. I am more than happy to care for any kind of animals- not just dogs and cats. My own current pets are two dogs and four cats. I also have experience caring for small animals, various poultry and livestock, and horses. When I was 15 years old I started occasionally farm/house sitting for a family with dogs, horses, and a cat, and caring for all of the animals there during my stay. With them I have worked daytime hours as well as overnight stays for a few days at a time so they could take trips out of state. In my adult life I have branched out, first with Rover a few years ago, and then with expanding farther into launching my private pet care business at the beginning of 2024 while still maintaining my presence on Rover. If you want a pet caretaker you can count on who will treat your animals as well as their own, I'm your gal! I am operating my pet care business, Mainely Pets - Care & Products, full-time! This means I have lots of availability to care for your pets, but for house-sitting in particular it is best to reach out significantly in advance to ensure I can fit you in! Sunday bookings are restricted to things that *must* occur on that day in order for me to try to have some level of work life balance. I take utmost care to keep animals in my care safe and properly contained. I make sure to follow whatever rules and structures are in place for the animals to ensure their safety. Pets are always leashed inside before heading for a walk and the leash isn't unclipped until we are back inside with a closed door. I am vigilant in looking out for potential risks (e.g. other animals, cars, unsafe things they could eat, etc) and making sure to give them a wide berth. In my own home I have any small animals carefully segregated into rooms that predator animals don't go into. Anytime I leave the room, I do a check and verify that all predators are outside the door so nobody can get hurt. I monitor the dogs around the cats to make sure all interactions are safe. I have utlized crates and baby gates when necessary to keep animals safely contained and/or separated in the past. I am skilled at containing flight risk animals and watching out for their safety. I am also fully insured and bonded through Pet Sitters Associates (PSA).

About: I have cared for both dogs and cats and I will care for yours like it is my own at all times so I hope you choose to hire me I am retired with plenty of free time for your animals and I would love to care for them like they are mine to care for I have a yard and a lovely home and I will always leash your dog when outside for safety and I like to kennel dogs when they sleep at night

About: I have had dogs and taken care of dogs and cats since childhood. In my more recent years I have dog sat for family members and neighbors. I have enjoyed being able to give peace of mind to them knowing their pets are safe, happy, and cared for. Owning a dog and cat myself I understand the stress and fear of having to leave your pets. Whether it’s work, vacation and other life events it can feel like you’re leaving a piece of your heart behind while you’re away. I strive to bridge that gap and be able to provide peace of mind. My dog is a rescue and came to me with some behavioral challenges: fear, reactivity, resource guarding and separation anxiety. Since being with me he is a thriving boy with manners and is learning new skills and tricks every week! That being said I don’t scare easily and have experience managing a variety of behaviors. I know from experience leaving a pet that has some big feelings at times can be even more challenging and thats where I come in. To offer you peace of mind knowing your dog or cat will be safe and cared for with me. I firmly believe in the saying no bad dogs and would love to get the opportunity to take one worry off your plate while you are away! I have summers off and am able to be around as much or as little as needed for your pet in the summers as that is a busy time for vacations. I do structured schedules with play, train walk and rest times with pets. I can also create scheduled enrichment times throughout our time together. I try to cater what we are doing based on needs of the dog so they are fulfilled.

About: I am always the first to be called when a friend needs doggy daycare or house sitting with dogs, cats, and often other animals. I’ve fostered and found homes for rescues internationally and domestically. I’ve worked for a doggy daycare where I was responsible for 50-70 dogs with a crew of 2-4 people. I also spent a few months off and on taking care of 10-22 huskies while part of the herd were sled racing. I’m comfortable with dogs of all sizes and enjoy seeing all of their unique personalities. I was surprised with a rescue dog when I was 10, Hemingway. It was an amazing experience and I helped train Hemmy to be a service dog for my grandmother who was visually impaired. Winter rates are now $250/day for basic overnights, includes 3 pets. Will adjust include extra rates accordingly to animals and household needs. I’m self employed and have the flexibility to set my daily schedule around your animals needs and regular routine. Lots of scritches, play time and love are part of my commitment to your pets. I am available for short and long walks (depending on your animals needs and ability), playtime, companionship, love and affection, meals and snacks as well as monitoring medication if needed.
