“Abby did a great job taking care of our elderly dog while we were away. She gave us important updates and stayed in communication with any questions she had about his care. We were able to enjoy our vacation without worry knowing Sam was in great hands! Would definitely recommend and use Abby again!”
“Our first time booking care for our Golden Retriever with Jennifer and we are very impressed! She did a great job caring for Benny, we highly recommend Jennifer 👏 👌 👍”

“Amy was so kind and took great care of my fur-baby while I was away. We also did an introduction visit before my time away which gave me peace of mind to know my baby was in good hands! She gave great updates and photos each visit, and she gave him extra care when she could tell he needed some extra cuddles. Thank you, Amy!”

About: Welcome to our dog-loving family! 🐾 My husband and I are a team with a deep love for animals, and together we provide attentive, loving, and reliable care for your pup. We create a calm, safe, and happy environment where dogs can feel at home while you’re away. 🚫 We don’t accept aggressive dogs, females in heat, unfixed males, dogs coughing or sneezing— safety and well-being are our top priorities for every dog in our care. ❗️All dogs must be up to date on vaccinations, Specially Bordetella. ❗️Daycare is open 7:30AM to 6PM. Any pick-up after 6PM will be considered boarding price. WHAT I OFFER • a calm, clean, dog-friendly home • lots of presence, warmth, comfort and gentle attention • individual care (I host a limited number of dogs) • regular walks adjusted to your dog's energy and needs • continuous communication (photos, videos, updates) • safety, responsibility and a loving atmosphere BEFORE CONFIRMING THE BOOKING, PLEASE SHARE: - your dog's age, breed and personality - how they handle separation and new environments - allergies, medications, special needs - how they react to other dogs and people - daily routine (meals, walks, habits) - likes and dislikes - whether they can stay home alone - any house rules (e.g., do we need to hide the shoes? A little bit about me.. I grew up surrounded by animals from horses, pigs, bunnies, chickens, turtles, and many stray dogs. My family often rescued them from the street, and that’s where I learned how to care for them and, most importantly, how to truly love them. As a child, I dreamed of becoming a veterinarian, but I soon realized I’m too sensitive to handle see them in pain or saying goodbyes. That’s why I’ve poured my heart into this work, because every dog deserves to be safe, loved, and treated like family. We can’t wait to meet your fur baby and welcome them into our little dog loving family! Thank you for trusting us 💛🐶 Pet care is my daily routine. I spend most of my day with the dogs, making sure they’re safe, comfortable, having fun and well-loved. I occasionally teach online yoga classes, but during that time, my husband is home and helps care for them. Between the two of us, your pup will always have someone nearby to supervise, play, or just relax with. I care for dogs in my home as if they were my own. Dogs have access to both indoor and outdoor spaces throughout the day, they’re free to relax inside or play in our large, fully fenced backyard under supervision. I maintain a clean, calm, and safe environment with plenty of water, rest, affection, and playtime. Since I’m home 24/7, I provide constant attention and adapt to each dog’s personality, energy level, and routine. For dogs who need extra care, such as those with medical or emotional needs, I offer gentle, individualized support. My husband also assists during the day, especially when I’m briefly teaching a yoga class. Our goal is always to make your dog feel secure, loved, and part of our family.
“Ashlyn was willing to watch our cat on short notice after we had to unexpectedly leave town, and we are so grateful! We recently moved to the area so we were especially worried about leaving our girl. Fortunately, Ashlyn was very communicative, sending daily photos and updates, which helped ease our stress. Our cat is typically shy and can take a few days to warm up to new people, but she seemed comfortable within a day of Ashlyn watching her. We are again so appreciative of her and will definitely be asking her to watch our girl again in the future!”

About: I’ve had pets my entire life! I grew up with both cats and dogs and lived on a farm, so I’m comfortable with a wide range of temperaments and needs. Today I’m a proud cat mom to two, which means I know cat body language, feeding routines, litter box habits, and how to help an anxious cat settle in a new environment. Whether it’s a quick check-in or an extended stay, I treat every pet like my own! I work full time, but my job allows me to come home over lunch. I can offer midday visits and potty breaks in addition to mornings and evenings. This makes me a great fit for dogs who need a break during the workday or cats who just want company and a fresh bowl of food. Pets are part of my daily life, not an occasional hobby. My home is pet-proofed and set up for animals to feel comfortable. I’m attentive to safety basics (secure doors/gates, no accessible hazards, fresh water always available) and I keep owners updated with photos or messages during visits so you always know your pet is safe and happy.

“Fantastic sitter. Hired Alexis on short notice when my normal sitter was unavailable. She was a dream to work with. Detailed updates and lots of photos. She even got my fussy old man to eat most of his food while I was gone. Fuess she just has the touch! I'll definitely keep her on my rotation during my busy travel schedule. I highly recommend giving her your business if you have cats that need love and attention while you're away from home.”

“This was our first time using Rover and the first time our pets were going to be cared for my someone other than family so I was very nervous. Amber did an excellent job explaining Rover's policies and procedures. She made my fur babies feel so loved during the meet and greet and calmed my anxiousness. New to the area. Needed a pet sitter. Molly was awesome. Had her watch our cat for 2 weeks. She was very sweet and worked with all our requests. She was prompt to respond, answered any question we had while we were gone. Our kitty was well fed and had good water when we came back! We plan to use her whenever we go out of town!

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Normal. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
