“Amber did a great job watching Clover!! She kept us informed on how she was eating and even gave her a few special treats. Clover loved the swimming pool. 🐶 We appreciate the great care she received.”

“Kim was great with our pup, Maggie. We felt so at ease with her having fun in a great environment while we were away. She clearly knows how to handle dogs of all kinds and her family takes great care. We will definitely use and recommend Kim again!!”

“Jenevieve is the best! Very accommodating with all the special need my dog requires. Also very good communication. My dog loves hanging out with her and never wants to come home afterwards!”

“Amazing and very understanding family. They took care of Maxim very well and he likes playing well with his new friends. It seems our baby had a great time and we got all timely updates! Would definitely recommend this family for sure and we would definitely look forward to come back to Robbie for future. Thanks again!”

“Amazing! My sweet Golden loved spending time with Patricia and the other dog she was caring for. It worked out so well. She is particular, asks great questions, very accommodating, shared fun updates and photos with me and my kiddos (who were missing their buddy). I didn't have to worry for a moment that Hope was in good hands! Thank you so much! See you next time!”

“Great sitter. It was a GR party of 3! My dog was worn out, happy and well taken care of. Daily updates with a picture was sent. Thx for your care! Would recommend and use Kayla again.”

“Communicated really fast with us, asked us important questions she needed to know about our dog Teddy, and Teddy came home really tired (which is a very good thing). Thank you so much for taking care of my dog!”

“Brandon was a great dog sitter for the week and half we were gone! He gave our Wheaten all of the walks and play he needed. Brandon kept in touch with updates and was easy to communicate with. He loved our dog like his own, and I’m sure our Wheaten would love to go back next time we need a sitter!”

“Kari is quick to respond to messages and was easy to work with. She was super about last minute time changes. She sent pictures and kept me updated on how my girl was doing. All in all a good experience and Freddie gives her a paws up!”

“Savannah and her husband did an amazing job (and on very short notice) watching our dog while we were gone over the weekend. Not only was she prompt and attentive to my inquiries, she sent multiple pictures of our pup having a great time. He even came home behaving better! It was quite obvious that Savannah and Ben had loved up on him and taken great care of him. She and her husband were very calm, competent and caring from the moment we first met them. They have a knack for taking care of dogs and did a wonderful job attending to our older dog’s needs. They also have a great fenced backyard for plenty of play, with lots of big shady trees to rest or nap under. I would highly recommend their services and would not hesitate to choose them again if the need ever arises. Thanks again Savannah and Ben!”

“Mackenzie and Anthony took great care of our pup! They treated him how we would, making him feel at home. We received plenty of updates, and our dog always looked so happy. We would recommend them for others needing a sitter!”

About: I grew up in a home with pets and enjoy being able to include them in our home and give them love and attention while their owners are away. I work from home and am able to care for your pet weekdays except for Fridays and occasionally over the weekend schedule depending. I have a fenced in yard and my family and I love to play fetch with dogs or tug of war and we usually walk around the neighborhood several times throughout the day to enjoy nature and get our limbs moving and love to have a dog on our walk with us as we stroll the neighborhood. I have a fenced yard and a very flexible schedule to allow for lots of attention and play time. I also have several pet loving children who are gentle and enjoy loving on pets.
“Janell & Joe ended up being a perfect fit for my miniature Schnauzer Gunther! We appreciate the quick updates and photo to set our minds at ease! Very kind and easy to work with!! Highly recommend!!”

“My dog warmed up to Autumn right away, and Autumn excitedly welcomed her into her home. She took her on long walks even when the weather was not very nice. She kept in contact with me throughout the day to keep me posted on how my dog was doing. They became good buddies.”

“Our 2 dogs (7yrs & 10 mos) had a great time!! We didn’t have to worry once while they stayed. Drop off was easy, we were given several updates a day, and both pups seemed relaxed and excited to see us when we picked them up. Would definitely go through Sasha again.”

“My pups came home very tired! Sign of a good time? Not sure but they sure were quiet & slept a lot! Cristina said they did well & she would gladly take them again. The house was nice & spacious. I enjoyed the pictures, just wished there were a few more.”
About: I have had multiple pets from mice to dogs so I'm well rounded in diverse care. I love to play with animals especially dogs theyre just amazing. Weekends, work days, holidays (if needed). I can house for multiple days. I only leave to get groceries or to take my dog to the park. Safe and loving. Will have a great play partner Sammy loves to play he would all day if he could, we go on walks, park trips, sometimes just a drive.
“Stephanie boarded 2 of our dogs for a weekend and was such an amazing sitter for them! She sent updates with pictures several times a day, letting us know about specifics like eating/potty/walks and also just lots of great commentary about how they were enjoying themselves. They were clearly so happy and comfortable with her, living their best dog lives all weekend! Her dog was very calm and friendly during introductions and ended up being best buds with our playful Golden. We never had any doubts that they were in the best hands, and will definitely hope to use Stephanie again in the future when we visit Ankeny!”

Many sitters in IA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
