“Roswell is always so communicative and takes such great care of our puppies. We’re so grateful that we can go away with the peace of mind that our dogs are in great hands. We highly recommend Roswell!”

“AMAZING!!! Tracy watched our fur babies while we were off getting married. INCREDIBLY professional. I gave her the number to my personal attendant; even though I got updates through the app Tracy updated the attendant so as so not bother us on our special day. I would recommend her to anyone & hope to use her again! 2 paws up”

About: Not Just a Pet Sitter — A True Animal Caregiver I’ve been around animals my entire life. I grew up caring for dogs and helping my parents raise chickens, and over the years I’ve gained hands-on experience with farm animals including goats, pigs, cows, and sheep. I’ve helped with daily feeding, cleaning, health checks — and even assisted in delivering a baby lamb.Whether it’s your family dog or a small backyard flock, I provide dependable, attentive care so you can have peace of mind knowing your animals are safe, comfortable, and treated like family. I am currently open for any time of the day or night monday thru friday. And am available 12pm-5pm on sundays. I can somwtimes make an exception for Saturday's if I am given a notice a few days ahead of time. When caring for pets in a client’s home, my priority is keeping their routine as normal and stress-free as possible. Animals feel safest in their own environment, so I follow your detailed instructions closely — including feeding schedules, portion sizes, medications, exercise routines, and any special care needs.
About: I grew up on farm taking care of dogs since I was little. Would watch neighbors animals for them . Feeding, walking, bathing their pet. I’m currently not working. I’m available to watch the dogs anytime during the week and on the weekends. I can’t board at my place, but I’m willing make it work. I have a red heeler. I can either crate your dog, cuddle and give your dogs belly rubs, baths. Overall taking good care of your pet.
About: I understand that hiring a pet sitter is a matter of trust. That's why I offer more than just a service—I offer peace of mind. As a longtime pet owner, I've navigated every pet-related situation imaginable, and my experience gives me a calm and capable approach to handling unexpected issues. When you leave your pets with me, you can relax, knowing their well-being is my top priority and that I will care for them with the same love, respect, and meticulous attention to detail I provide my own pets. My flexible schedule allows me to be highly adaptable to your needs. If your work hours change, you need a last-minute sitter, or your pet requires special timing for meals and walks, I can accommodate it. I am able to provide reliable and consistent care during all hours of the day, ensuring your pet's routine is never disrupted. My personal pets are my family, and I provide them with nothing but the best. You can rest assured that your pet will be treated with the same boundless love and attention that I give to my own "fur babies."
About: My pets are indoors AND outside because I have safe, pet friendly, separated or joined, sheltered, natural areas where we can all unwind on my seven acres. I'm a retiree who devotes all my time to my grandkids, animals and hobbies. Your pets' needs are provided for at all times whether they are here for a day, week or month as they are included in our family activities. Pets are kept separated or allowed to play together depending on their needs. I provide crates, mats, kennels and even my bed for peaceful sleeping.
About: I grew up with animals and as an adult i have had cats and dogs my whole life. I have also enjoyed caring for friends and family pets when needed. I have volunteered at the ARL and received some training. I have an open schedule with lots of flexibility that allows for plenty of time to take care of or hang out with my furrbabies. I prefer to keep dogs leashed when a fence is not available. My cat stays indoors. I treat my pets as my children. For outdoor cats, it depends on the owner. I have seen GPS used to keep track of their location outside.

“Angie is the best! She has done drop in visits for my two cats numerous times - most recently for 14 days while I was gone in a trip. When I got home my cats were calm and relaxed as if I hadn't been gone at all. Angie is very kind and well qualified to watch pets, she also brings in my mail and feeds the birds for me... I highly recommend her!!”
About: I have lots of experience working with dogs with Thyroid disorders, joint problems, hip problems, diabetes, and special diets. I'm very flexible. All you have to do is ask and we'll see. I've had Chocolate Labs, Chesapeake Bay Retrievers, Poodles, Terriers, and Shih Tzus. I love animals especially puppies and dogs. I am also willing to watch your cats if you also have them. I wanted to be a veterinarian or veterinary assistant but I didn't quite have the grades for it so that's why I decided to become a dog sitter, a dog walker, pet care taker, dog lover, and pet lover. I will take the best care of your pet and love it like my very own. Hope to hear from you soon. I'm available for house sitting on weekends and some week nights just ask me. Availability for pet care all week depending on the hours needed. I always accompany pets when they are outside even in a fenced in yard. I take short or long walks depending on what is requested.
“Rachael was wonderful with our dog from the moment they first met. I was having surgery out of town and any concerns faded when I saw how good Rachael was with her right off the bat! One less thing to worry about during my hospital stay. She included adorable photos and details of each visit. In our initial visit with Rachel, it was evident her knowledge, passion and caring for dogs, and I had no doubt our dog would be in great hands. Thank you, Rachael!”

“Amy accepted a last minute drop in request and spent extra time with our pups at her own discretion. She truly loves and cares for them, and we appreciate her so much! Highly recommend her to anyone looking for an amazing sitter!”

About: I’ve always had dogs growing up & always helped with walking them, feeding them, giving them all the extra snuggles, etc. I have watched my friends pets when they are away many times & I would love to watch your furry friends & help out with whatever is needed! I am currently working part time at a dance studio Monday & Tuesday nights in Colfax at 4:45-7/8pm so that would be the only thing to work around. I would let the dog(s) as much exercise or playtime as needed or wanted. I also have a 3 year old dog who would love a play date if your pet(s) were in my home.
“She did a wonderful job caring for my sick and yet very energetic husky. Super nice woman and a very good caretaker. My husky threw a temper tantrum when she saw me walk through the front door instead of Farra 😂”

About: I’ve had cats, dogs, chickens, ducks, and horses growing up. Having a wide range of animals growing up has helped me learn what a pet is wanting and needing. I’m currently a college student, my evening can be flexible as well as my weekends! Willing to work with owners to create a balance that works for me and your pets. I would prefer to have your pet in your home! I think that will be best for your pets safety and mine too. I’m willing to do what the owner is wanting for their pets comfortability.

“She was very accommodating and understanding of my new 2 month old puppy and she is really quick to respond to last minute requests! Will definitely continue to book with her!”

“Allison is always super flexible with my last minutes bookings & changes. It’s a huge weight off of my shoulders to know that my pup is checked in on when she’s alone at home all day!”

“Mackenzie is super reliable and I trust them to give my dog the care she needs and be in my home while I’m at work! I love getting the videos and pictures that they send me”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Newton. On Rover:
- 90% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 90% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
