“We had a last minute plans change and needed someone last minute, and we had used Kristina previously so we were excited to see she was available. She is great with our two pups and very dependable! Thanks Kristina for taking a little bit of stress away from our last minute plans change!”

About: I have been a regular pet sitter for friends, family, and coworkers since I was a teenager. I have experience with large or small dogs, elderly dogs, cats, and pets that need medication or other accommodations. I have experience with dog-sitting for up to two weeks at a time. This has sometimes included, but is not limited to, administering medication, cleaning up messes inside and outside, walking, feeding, and bathing. Ensuring the safety, health, and happiness of each pet I take care of is my top priority and it is one of my favorite things to do in the world! I do not have the same schedule weekly, so I will constantly update my availability. I only know my availability up to 3 weeks in advance. Unless I have to work very early the next day, I am available for overnights at least 3 days a week (typically). I am unable to have pets at my house because I live with a family member’s dog that does not do well with other animals. Please give me any and all instructions! I will make sure to follow any routine that I can for your pet to be comfortable. I will provide as many updates/photos as requested.
“Everything went perfect. Answered all questions and messages very quickly. Did everything we asked and showed up on time everyday. We will definitely book again. Thanks again.”

“Natalie was amazing with our cat!! She followed the directions perfectly, was a great communicator, and went above and beyond with the check in notes and pictures. We will definitely use her again!”

“Alex has been doing drop in visits during the work day for our 2 pups for a few weeks now and he’s been wonderful!! Our 2 are polar opposite ends of the spectrum of personality/energy levels and he’s so great/patient with them both.”

“Janis went above and beyond checking on our cats while we were out of town. She even made sure to check on our cat who is afraid of strangers to make sure she was well. Even when she walked into a stressful incident with one of our cats, she was able to address it and calm him down. I really appreciated all the love and attention she shared with our cats. I also enjoyed all the photos and detailed notes when she stopped by. We knew Janis was a perfect fit upon our first meeting. My son said as she left : you can tell she is a good person who loves animals. I couldn't agree more.”

“Kylie did. Great job looking after our shy kitties for 10 days. Knew just how to approach them so one even came out to socialize ! We were very happy knowing they were being so well cared for.”

About: I am not a professional but sometimes I believe that’s okay. I’ve had dogs since I can remember. I’ve always had such a big heart when it comes to animals. I worked at a shelter while I was in high school and the hardest for me was not bringin them all to my house. I have two dogs of my own. They’re both older girls and very very laid back and friendly. I think every dog has personality of their own and that’s what is beautiful about dogs. I think taking care of dogs is more than a chore or a job, i think it’s more of passion. In my opinion you have to love dogs to be able to take care of them the way they need. I hope I can be what you’re looking for.
“Nicki took great care of our Cody while we were on vacation for a week. She arrived when requested and checked in daily to let us know how things were going. I would recommend Nicki to anyone looking for in home pet sitting services”

“Amazing! Ariana put my mind at ease being away from my pup. She updated me every step of the way with pictures and sweet messages. My Indy enjoyed his stay and will be back!!”

“Autumn was great with Cash! She did a quick meet and greet to meet him as well as learn where things were located and his habits. She spent much needed time with him and helped make Cash a new friend!”

About: We love all kinds of animals and have been a rescue family for years! Both my husband and I have always had pets and have been a safe home for neglected or abandoned dogs We work from home and can give all the love and attention deserved!! Our dogs and rabbits have a dependable schedule and are crate trained We provide an enriching fun safe environment for our dog and rabbits. We have an invisible fence but our dogs never wear their collars now that they know to stay in the yard. They love walks and romping in our wooded yard
“Nicole was great to work with, especially since our travel plans changed at the last minute. She kept us updated on our diabetic cat, and even gave him his twice a day insulin shots. We would definitely book Nicole again.”

About: Your fur-baby/babies will receive my one on one care throughout their stay. Summertime is a very busy time for dog sitting, so I may have more than one family at a time, but typically I try to book one family at a time. If you prefer just your family’s fur baby to be watched during their stay, please let me know and I will work with you or let you know if I have another family booked during your requested time/times. I have over 20 years of experience with many different dogs, all ages, sizes, and personalities. I have many years experience fostering and rescuing dogs. I have experience giving medication to many different dogs, (even the stubborn ones) working on potty training with puppies and adult dogs, as well as crate training. I work 630-3 daily, so your fur baby can be let out and fed first thing in the morning and let out again early afternoon. I leave a TV on for noise and ensure everyone is comfortable for the day. Your animal’s care is my top priority. I am well versed in watching dogs body language and social cues. I ensure everyone is safe by feeding everyone separately, including my own dogs. Many fur-babies enjoy visiting our home, playing with toys, enjoying treats ( allergy friendly of course) visiting and playing with our dogs and cats, running around our fenced yard, receiving all the pets/scratches/belly rubs, and all of the love and snuggles to make them feel at home. I have experience administering meds, dealing with allergies ( my lab mix is allergic to the world and has to be fed ONLY her prescription food), puppy play and potty training, very active younger dogs, as well as older dogs who may need a little more care or help throughout their stay. I am very patient with anxious, nervous, and shy dogs. I work with your pet when they are anxious whether it’s sitting in a quiet room one on one to ensure they eat, providing their own space when needed, or working on building trust with me in general. I am not a professional trainer, but I have a lot of experience working with a lot of different situations.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of August 2026, there are 1,306 sitters on Rover offering Cat Sitting across New Palestine. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in New Palestine. On Rover:
- 90% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
