“The dogs knew a "dog lover" before I even opened the door! And although my dogs are rambunctious, this did not deter Gary and Eileen, nor scare them off!! We are so glad we found them! It was very helpful too that Eileen put the instructions we gave them into a written document before they watched with our dogs, which helped solidify my instructions and gave me an opportunity to make changes to that document if it was needed.”

About: IVDD experienced dachshund mom with hands on rehab experience, plus years caring for rescue dogs and high energy heelers through walks, training, and overnight sitting with deep compassion. Pet care is a central part of my routine. With a part time job and flexible schedule, I’m able to prioritize walks, enrichment, and one-on-one attention so dogs feel safe, supported, and at home. I provide calm and structured care that closely follow a dog's existing routine. I do use crate training with positive reinforcement when I have to leave the house. I offer IVDD safe handling, walks, interactive play, and will send you 2 updates per day with photos while you're away.
“Catherine was great!! She is communicative and reliable. She was very flexible with coordinating drop-in visits for our two dogs. Will rebook with Catherine next time!”

“Nicki is amazing! I had much anxiety leaving my old doggo home for the day, as he is used to always having one of us with him, but after meeting Nicki, I knew he would be in kind and capable hands. Meeting Nocki was not like meeting a stranger; she instantly made myself and my dog very comfortable. Her updates were fantastic, and really put me at ease while I was away. We will always choose Nicki when we need care for our fur baby!”

About: I have taken care of animals for sixty plus years. Friends and family have entrusted me with caring for their pets. I have always had animals in my life. I am a retired nurse I am available to care for pets most days. I am trustworthy dependable and caring. Animals are a blessing to me. I have a huge fenced in backyard, with two friendly golden retrievers who would love to play with your pet. Also I can crate if needed.

About: Hello everyone! Whether you're heading out of town or just need a helping hand during the day I am happy to help. I will make sure your dog feels safe, happy, and loved while you're away. A little about me. I have volunteered at various shelters and fostered for local rescues. We currently have a senior Boxer named Winston and 1 cat. We also have 3 children, which furry guest will need to be comfortable around. I currently work from home so I will be available for your pets needs throughout the day. We often take walks around the neighborhood as well as enjoy the fenced backyard. Having pets of my own I know the struggle of having reliable care for your loved ones when your away and I want to share my home and alleviate some of that stress for others. Your pup will get all the love and attention like they get at home. I have experience with all types of dogs and can cater to their special needs. I look forward to meeting you and your pup! Pet care is a natural part of our daily routine. From early morning potty breaks and breakfast to afternoon walks and evening wind-downs. I ensure plenty of one-on-one attention, playtime, and consistency. We keep a calm, pet-friendly space with plenty of room to roam, toys to enjoy, and a routine that helps your dog feel safe and relaxed. Your furry friend will never be crated (unless that is your preference) or left alone for long period of time. I will provide regular updates so you can have peace of mind while you're away.
About: I am not a professional but sometimes I believe that’s okay. I’ve had dogs since I can remember. I’ve always had such a big heart when it comes to animals. I worked at a shelter while I was in high school and the hardest for me was not bringin them all to my house. I have two dogs of my own. They’re both older girls and very very laid back and friendly. I think every dog has personality of their own and that’s what is beautiful about dogs. I think taking care of dogs is more than a chore or a job, i think it’s more of passion. In my opinion you have to love dogs to be able to take care of them the way they need. I hope I can be what you’re looking for.

“Lucy is the BEST of the BEST!! This was our first time having pet sitting for our cat and with negative boarding experiences in the past, we were so nervous at how she would do with being left at home but Lucy did an INCREDIBLE job with Jinx! She has been so comfortable being in her own space and I can see how happy she was when Lucy came to check on her and play with her. She set up a meet and greet before booking to make sure everyone was comfortable and sent some adorable photos with every check in visit which gave us so much peace of mind while out of the country! Lucy is the sweetest and truly, truly treats your pet(s) like her own pack and I absolutely cannot recommend her enough. Thank you, Lucy!!”

“Trinity was great with communication and came to meet my pup and i for a meet and greet. My pup was instantly comfortable with her and i knew they were a great fit! Trinity came the next day and walked my dog for almost a whole hour in the cold snowy weather and we couldn’t have been more grateful he got the best night sleep! I would highly recommend her for helping with your animals. I will definitely be using her again.”

About: Hi! I’m Janelle — dog lover, fitness enthusiast, and your pet’s new favorite walking buddy 🐾💪 I live an active lifestyle, so whether your pup loves long walks, runs, playtime, or just soaking up attention, I’m all in. I genuinely love being around animals and making sure they feel safe, happy, and cared for while their humans are away. I’ve cared for many types of animals since I was 10, and learned a great deal from every single one of them, to include my own! I know every dog has their own personality and routine, and I’m big on patience, consistency, and lots of love (plus treats if allowed 😉). Whether your pet is high-energy and playful or more laid back and cuddly, I’ll make sure they get the attention and care they deserve. You can expect plenty of updates, photos, and communication while your pet is with me because I know they’re family, not “just pets.” I work M-F from 8-5, but have weekends and holidays off! I take care of my own animals with the help of my husband too, together we are a power couple for loving and taking care of animals. I have a fenced in yard and we have cameras in our house and outdoors in front and back yards. We also have a furbo in the house to keep an eye on our animals in house as well as any others. We feel safety and security are significantly important for any animal in our household, no matter the time.

About: I am willing to travel to make sure dogs get the absolute best care. I love taking dogs on walks and making sure that I do my absolute best to make sure that dogs are taken care of. I want to do my best to make your extended family members happy. Taking care of animals is a passion of mine and as a biology major, I will always look out for your dog's best interest. I am around the Greenfield/Indianapolis/Carmel/Fishers area and I am more than happy to house sit while taking care of your four-legged family members! I love going on walks with pets, playing fetch or tug of war, and I am also good with cats. If you think I would make a good fit, don't hesitate to message me and I will get back with you as soon as possible!
About: I have always helped my parents and papaw when it came to taking care of the animals. It started with my first dogs, Maddy and Wallee. Ever since people have always commented on how big my heart is for our four legged friends!! My everyday job schedule changes every other week! I’m very flexible and wanting to stay active on my days off to help others and their furry companions! I have two young labradors that absolutely love the outdoors and going on walks. They both have lots of energy so this would help my girls durning the warmer times. Any and every animal they come across just have to be their best friend.
About: Your fur-baby/babies will receive my one on one care throughout their stay. Summertime is a very busy time for dog sitting, so I may have more than one family at a time, but typically I try to book one family at a time. If you prefer just your family’s fur baby to be watched during their stay, please let me know and I will work with you or let you know if I have another family booked during your requested time/times. I have over 20 years of experience with many different dogs, all ages, sizes, and personalities. I have many years experience fostering and rescuing dogs. I have experience giving medication to many different dogs, (even the stubborn ones) working on potty training with puppies and adult dogs, as well as crate training. I work 630-3 daily, so your fur baby can be let out and fed first thing in the morning and let out again early afternoon. I leave a TV on for noise and ensure everyone is comfortable for the day. Your animal’s care is my top priority. I am well versed in watching dogs body language and social cues. I ensure everyone is safe by feeding everyone separately, including my own dogs. Many fur-babies enjoy visiting our home, playing with toys, enjoying treats ( allergy friendly of course) visiting and playing with our dogs and cats, running around our fenced yard, receiving all the pets/scratches/belly rubs, and all of the love and snuggles to make them feel at home. I have experience administering meds, dealing with allergies ( my lab mix is allergic to the world and has to be fed ONLY her prescription food), puppy play and potty training, very active younger dogs, as well as older dogs who may need a little more care or help throughout their stay. I am very patient with anxious, nervous, and shy dogs. I work with your pet when they are anxious whether it’s sitting in a quiet room one on one to ensure they eat, providing their own space when needed, or working on building trust with me in general. I am not a professional trainer, but I have a lot of experience working with a lot of different situations.
“First time leaving our baby with a non-family member and Kayla made us feel SUPER comfortable! He is kind, loving and caring and genuinely loves what she does! Definitely will continue returning! ❤️❤️”

“Kari did a great job with my 3 dogs. We had a meet and greet prior and went over everything. One of our pups is a 75lb 8 month old puppy, and she had no problems handling him - even giving him a boost into the car because he hasn't quite figured out how to jump up yet. ? We will definitely be contacting her for future jobs.”

Nicole did an excellent job with our 2 cats! She even helped out and brought in some packages that arrived early and let me know when we had a battery operated detector go off. She was able to get that alarm stopped. I will definitely use her again and highly recommend her! She is very personable and caring with her approach to pets.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Greenfield. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
