Aaron was an absolutely amazing dog sitter! He kept me updated the entire time with messages and adorable pictures, which gave me so much peace of mind. He took my fur baby on fun little adventures, and it was obvious she was having the best time. When I arrived to pick her up, she was happy, relaxed, and her usual go-lucky self—which says everything about the care she received. I’m so grateful to have found someone I trust completely with my pup and would 100% recommend Aaron to anyone looking for a reliable, caring sitter.

Our dog Millie could not have been better cared for. BethAnn is on top of everything;food, treats, walks, playtime, naps and sleep. Millie had a spa vacation. Too bad there are only 5 stars in the rating because BethAnn deserves a 10!

Baci had a very good first visit with Andrea and Bob. It’s obvious that they are warm, caring and love dogs!! Baci settled in nicely, and we received lots of pics from Andrea to keep us up to date on what everyone was up to. The fenced in back yard is something I wish we had at our home, I know he totally enjoyed that! Looking forward to a longer stay in a couple of weeks, I know Baci will do just fine!

You guys, Michele is the one!! I couldn't have imagined a better person to care for my baby! She's so loving and so fun and a true kind soul. It's obvious that she truly loves these pups. My little guy had a great vacation with her! She took him out every day to super fun places and he had the time of his life! She went above and beyond to make sure my dog was happy and felt comfortable, even hand-feeding him his food when he didn't really want to eat. We're so thankful for her and can't wait to use her again!

I’m guilty of being a helicopter Mom. My dog is very attached to me and spoiled! Needless to say I was overly worried leaving Finn for 5 nights. Steve was amazing putting me to ease. He sent pictures and videos that clearly showed Finn both happy and comfortable. Finn will be a repeat customer:)

Thank you, Chelsea, for taking great care of our dog! We booked with Chelsea months in advance since we were getting married in Cape Cod and needed a place for our dog to stay for 2 days. This was our dog's first time staying overnight without us and he tends to be nervous in new situations. Chelsea was very responsive and gave us regular updates, which put us at ease that he was doing good and enjoying his time. We would definitely recommend Chelsea to others!

Alyne was a great host for my dog, Bella. When you see how relaxed a dog is after a stay, you know the host treated your dog well, as was the case with Alyne. Bella seemed to get along with her dog, Bruce, which made the stay even better. Bella had lots of room to run around. I would definitely board Bella with Alyne again.

Can’t say enough good things about Karen! We just moved here and were so nervous to find a good sitter.. Right off the bat Karen was so gentle and kind with Goldie, sent tons of picture updates, was quick to respond, and I never once felt worried or anxious! Also her dog Juni is the sweetest dog on the planet :) even with their size difference Goldie and Juni became sweet friends!

About: Hi! We’re a dependable, dog-loving family offering in-home dog boarding and dog sitting on Cape Cod. If you’re looking for a safe, attentive, and comfortable home for your dog while you’re away, you’ve found it. We both work from home, so your dog will never be alone. We have a small, friendly Labradoodle who loves other dogs and is very used to sharing his space. Because of that, visiting dogs typically adjust quickly and feel right at home here. We’ve cared for many friends’ dogs over the years, including puppies, adult dogs, and seniors. We’re comfortable with different temperaments, energy levels, and routines, from active dogs who need lots of playtime and walks to more relaxed dogs who just want a calm, cozy environment. We have used pet sitters several times for our own travels, so we know how nerve-wracking it can be to leave your beloved fur baby with a stranger. We will make your dog one of our family and give you regular updates, including photos. We know how important it is to trust who you leave your dog with. Our goal is simple: make your dog feel safe, happy, and cared for, so you can relax while you’re away. Feel free to reach out with any questions or to set up a meet & greet—we’d love to meet you and your pup! Pet care fits very naturally into our daily routine because we both work from home full-time. This allows us to build our day around the dogs in our care rather than leaving them alone for long stretches. Our typical day includes morning potty breaks and walks, followed by a relaxed workday where dogs have plenty of supervision, companionship, and opportunities to go outside as needed. We take breaks throughout the day for playtime, short walks, and attention, depending on each dog’s energy level and routine. In the evenings, we usually incorporate longer walks, playtime, or wind-down time, making sure dogs are settled and comfortable before bedtime. Because dogs are part of our home environment, they’re included in our daily rhythm—not treated as an afterthought. On weekends, we’re generally home and maintain a similar routine, with even more flexibility for walks, outdoor time, and one-on-one attention. Overall, having dogs in our care is something we genuinely enjoy and prioritize, and our schedule allows us to provide consistent, attentive care throughout the day and week. We care for every dog as if they’re our own, with a focus on keeping their routine consistent, their environment safe, and making sure they feel comfortable and loved while you’re away. Before any stay, we take time to understand your dog’s daily routine, feeding schedule, exercise needs, and any quirks or preferences—so we can mirror what they’re used to at home as closely as possible. In our home, dogs get: Plenty of supervision (we both work from home, so they’re rarely alone) Regular potty breaks, walks, and playtime based on their energy level A calm, safe environment with space to relax or socialize Lots of attention and affection throughout the day We’re also comfortable administering basic medications if needed and following any specific care instructions you provide.

Madaket watched our dog Cooper for a week, and was wonderful! She sent us photos each day showing the days activities which included going for walks, playing with her dog Bermuda, and just relaxing. When Cooper came home to us, he was relaxed and happy (unlike when he had been boarded elsewhere). Not only can we highly recommend Madaket to watch your pet, but we have already booked Cooper to be with her again for a couple more stays.

Aaron is great! He is communicative and kind. He was also very flexible with us which we appreciated as our logistics changed. Our two dogs seemed to really enjoy staying with him. They are large dogs and Aaron made sure they got plenty of exercise by taking them out and about. He always kept us posted with pictures and updates.

Angela is amazing! We were staying on Nantucket for three nights and for our first night the place was not dog friendly so she spent the night with Angela. For the next two days she was with her for the day so we could go explore. She also kept her late one night so we could have a nice dinner out. Our girl Mila took to her right away. Angela was very communicative and sent updates. She was also very flexible with pickups and drop offs. I highly recommend her! Thanks Angela!

Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Nantucket home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:

  • Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
  • Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
