Hi! I’m Lorna; an experienced, loving pet caregiver based on Nantucket. Originally from Ireland, I’ve lived on the island for over 16 years and am deeply rooted in our community. My partner and I are both passionate animal lovers and in addition to pet sitting, we have also fostered through the local shelter for years. We treat every animal we care for like part of our family. Whether your pup is high-energy, a senior, or just needs some extra love while you’re away, I offer a calm, structured environment where they’ll feel safe and cared for. I tailor each stay to your pet’s needs; long walks or runs, gentle strolls, playtime or quiet snuggles. I’m experienced with: • Senior pets • Administering medications • High energy dogs needing structured play or exercise I provide regular updates with photos and details so you always know how your pet is doing.

Lorna was wonderful with my Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Bruno. She was attentive, took him for walks. Bruno came back happy and calm. Highly recommend.
Lorna was absolutely incredible. We cannot say enough kind words about her. We are always nervous to leave our pup, but Lorna put our minds at ease. Lorna is incredibly communicative (highly responsive). She cares about animals, and looks after them with care, thoughtfulness, and tenderness. She was very attentive to all of our pup’s needs and preferences. She sent us regular updates while we were away. And she showered our pup with plenty of exercise, playtime, and snuggles. Lorna is amazing!
Harry absolutely LOVED Lorna and her boyfriend and had the best stay with them filled with walks, fetch, and snuggles! I will definitely reach out to Lorna again when I need someone to watch Harry!
Lorna is super sweet and very caring! My dogs loved being with her and especially their daily walks!!!
Lorna was wonderful! She asked questions ahead of Koa’s stay to make sure that Koa would be comfortable; she kept Koa active with lots of walks and rides; she sent frequent photos and updates to let me know that Koa was adjusting well and having fun; she was quick to respond to texts. Based on Koa’s big doggie smile in the photos that Lorna sent, I think Koa had more fun on Nantucket than we did! I highly recommend Lorna. We will certainly hire her again next summer.

Schedule
I start work early in the morning and get done for the day by 1pm. In the morning, we do a quick neighborhood walk to go potty and after work, we usually go exploring the trails or for walks on the beach etc.

I have a very sweet pup named George who absolutely LOVES other dogs and a friendly house-bunny who has his own caged area but will befriend any bunny-friendly dogs he meets :)
Pets
A typical day
I love to explore all of the islands trails and beaches with my dog friends. For very energetic dogs, we will go for runs in the Moors. For older or more chill dogs, we may take a walk into town or stroll along a shorter trail. Sometimes we will visit the dog park and meet lots of friendly Island dogs :)
