“Montana was very easy to communicate with and very responsive. She made the process of getting a pet sitter less stressful and easier to manage. She checked in on Lucky twice daily and gave him proper food and water. Everything went very smooth with her and Lucky liked her as well. I would highly recommend Montana for your pet sitting needs!”

“Channing is amazing with Zeus and Zoey! She has become a loved member of "our" pack. Being at work & knowing that Channing is coming to take care of the puppies before they go to bed has been such a relief for me. Channing is honest, straight forward & immediately put me at ease about trusting her to come into my home, give my puppies the care they need along with some loving. Very thankful for Channing being able to accommodate my night shift schedule. Definitely rebooking this wonderful sitter!”

“Brittany did a great job coming to feed my cats twice a day while I was away. She followed all of the instructions well. Most importantly, she was very responsive and sent updates and photos which set my mind at ease. Thank you Brittany!”

“Suzanna is amazing. Took care of my bestest boy with care on short notice and she was great with him. Will be my go to for and sittings in the future. Thank you for treating my buddy so amazing.”

“Danette took phenomenal care of our dog, Boop. She sent videos, pictures, took her time, was punctual and had amazing communication throughout the entire process. There’s no one else we would trust more to take care of our four legged family.”

About: 🐾 Our family has been proud dog owners for over 15 years. I have taken our dogs through professional training and have plenty of hands-on experience with pups of all sizes and personalities. Between our own dogs and our extended family’s, we’re comfortable with a wide variety of breeds and love treating every pet like part of the family. I am home most days and have a flexible schedule for walks, playtime, or drop-in visits. Whether it’s morning walks, mid-day potty breaks, or evening snuggles, I am happy to work around your pet’s routine to make sure they feel safe, loved, cared for, and enjoy staying with us. I know how important it is to feel confident that your pets are in good hands. In our home, safety and trust always come first. Its important to me that very dog feels comfortable and secure, whether they’re here for a short visit or a longer stay. Our environment is calm, clean, and pet-friendly — plenty of space to play, rest, and feel at ease. Every dog is treated like our own, with gentle care, structure, and lots of love so you can relax knowing your pet is safe and happy.
“Dee made going on vacation a little easier knowing my pups were well cared for. I have a motion web cam and reviewing the feed made me laugh. Dee spent time playing with each dog after they were fed. They seemed to have a good time. Hank seemed a little disappointed she didn't come by the first day we were back. Great sitter.”

About: I spend my free time volunteering at a local dog rescue. I am a born & raised Midwesterner who is a true "Dog Mom." I am a retired teacher who has lived in SW Florida for five years now. I have embraced the Florida lifestyle even taking my dog out in a "doggy stroller!" I have been trusted to watch and care for friends' dogs and cats for days at a time or even weeks while they've gone on vacation. I love their pets like my own. I am picky about who watches my own dog, so I would like any pet owner to know that their little furball is in good hands while they're away. I am currently available during the day and in the early evening. I am also available on weekends. I'm willing to discuss any specific time needs with pet owners as well. I am a self-described "early bird" which allows me to walk dogs when the weather is cooler. My dogs have always had full run of the house except when I'm away and then they are put into a crate (mostly for their own protection so they're not eating or chewing on items they shouldn't!) or trying to jump on or off furniture. My dogs have always been treated extremely well. When I wake up early in the morning, my dog goes out first thing, gets a treat, then gets fed breakfast. We usually do a small walk. I take into account the age and wellness of the dog. I had an elderly dog who used to walk two miles every day, but then he slowed down a lot, so I adjusted his walk distances. I also adjust to the Florida heat! No walks during the hottest hours! I like to get out early and walk. Speaking of walking or playing - my favorite motto is: A tired dog is a happy dog!
“We made the absolute best decision by using Eni's services to watch/walk our dogs while we were on vacation. She is incredible and such a genuine soul, loves animals, took incredible care of our fur babies while we were gone. Sent us many photos and updates which were very much appreciated! We would definitely recommend her 10/10 times, and will definitely be using her services in the future!”

“Shelley is such a kind caregiver for our fur baby. Her comments and photos she sends us always make us feel like we are there even though we are far away. We highly recommend Shelley. We are able to go away with confidence that our Sadie girl is being care for very well!”

“I love Erica. She was a breath of fresh air when we met her. Very kind and you can tell she loves animals. Very thankful for her help. It's nice to be able to trust someone will take care of your fur babies while you are away. Thank you so much 💓”

About: I’ve taken care of pets since I was a teenager. Friends and family have put their trust in me to tend to their pets needs when they are away and unavailable. I am semi retired with a lot of availability to meet your schedule. Your pet’s happiness is my priority and will always be there for them. I prefer to go to your home to take care of your pets that way they are not more disrupted by going into a new environment as well as missing their owners.
About: I’ve had pets pretty much all my life. Love them, they’re like my kids and brought me a lot of joy over the years. I currently have 2 labs and 2 cats all of which are rescues. My pets are all well cared for and get lots of love and very happy. I have experience giving medications. Im a trustworthy, compassionate person who will give your pet the love and care they deserve. I look forward to meeting you and your fur babies.
“This is mine & my husband’s first time using rover & Jennifer was so great to our London. London is a sweet girl & she gets very nervous when her family leaves her but she soon warmed up to Jennifer. She was so great, she sent pictures, videos & updates on how London was doing & showed that they played together. Highly recommend!”

About: I’ve had pets since I was 5. Caring for cats, dogs, hamsters, rabbits, you name it. I have also volunteered/fostered at the animal shelter for multiple years! About: Hi all! I am Lexi, a current vet tech of over 8+ years and extend my passion for animals to pet sitting at a reasonable price. I have always had a love for animals, and have showed this through continuous care and rehabilitation in my career. I want my clients to feel secure knowing their babies are safe and well cared for whether they are on vacation, at work or gone for an emergency they can count on me! My skills and devotion are not limited to just cats and dogs, as I have experience with all types of animals- reptiles, exotics, livestock etc. I currently work part time so the time they will be alone is limited. I offer drop ins at your home or pet boarding in mine. I have a very large fenced in yard for your baby to play and do business! As well as two other puppies to keep entertainment and activity alive. Crating/separating is not an issue as I have crates if needed and a spare room.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Murdock. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
