“Samantha is great!! She takes her time to learn your animal’s specific personality and needs. I felt like my cat was good hands. Really went above and beyond to make our Rover experience a good one. We will be having Samantha back again !”

“Destiny has been fantastic with Lotus. She’s reliable, has great availability, and clearly enjoys spending time with him. Lotus is always happy to see her and she somehow manages to capture the best photos of his big smile during their visits. I truly appreciate the care she takes and highly recommend her.”

About: I have taken care of animals of every kind since I was a young child. I routinely keep my family and friend’s animals while they are busy or just for fun! I am currently a work from home parent with plenty of time to give your baby the one-on-one time they need! Extra lovings and playtime is taken serious 😊 In your home I will diligently work with your animals the way that you need me too! I cannot wait to meet you and your baby.
“Tessa did such a great job taking care of my dog & cat! She sent lots of pictures so I could see them while I was out of town and was very communicative. Will definitely hire her again! Thanks, Tessa! 😊”

About: Animals have been a constant part of my life — I grew up with both dogs and cats, and I’ve continued caring for them throughout my adult life. Because of that, I understand the little things that make each pet unique: the routines they rely on, the quirks that make them who they are, and the kind of attention that helps them feel safe and loved. When I’m walking your dog or stopping in for a visit, I bring that same lifelong experience and patience. I’m comfortable with everything from playful puppies who need structure to senior pets who move at a slower pace. I’m also attentive to shy or anxious pets and take the time to earn their trust. What sets me apart is how personally I take the responsibility of caring for someone’s pet. I treat your animals the way I treat my own — with consistency, kindness, and genuine care. My goal is simple: when you’re away, your pet still feels at home. As an educator and high school football coach, I’m used to balancing responsibilities, managing time well, and showing up consistently for the people who depend on me. That same reliability carries over into the way I care for pets. With summer approaching, my schedule becomes even more flexible, giving me plenty of time for regular walks, drop‑in visits, and consistent routines for your pets. Even during the school year, my afternoons, evenings, and weekends are open, which makes it easy for me to fit pet care naturally into my week. Because I’ve always had dogs and cats of my own — both growing up and now in my adult life — caring for animals is already part of my daily rhythm. Whether it’s early‑morning walks, midday check‑ins, or evening visits, I’m able to give each pet the attention, structure, and comfort they’re used to. When I’m caring for pets in a client’s home, my goal is to keep their routine as familiar and stress‑free as possible. I know how much comfort pets get from being in their own space, so I make sure everything I do matches the rhythm they’re used to. I follow your instructions closely — feeding schedules, walk times, medications, crate routines, and any little quirks that matter to your dog or cat. I take the time to learn their personality, whether they’re energetic and playful, shy and slow to warm up, or somewhere in between. I make sure they get plenty of attention, affection, and structure so they feel safe and cared for while you’re away. Because I’ve had dogs and cats my entire life, both growing up and now as an adult, I’m comfortable handling all kinds of needs: puppy energy, senior care, anxious pets, or those who just want someone to sit nearby and keep them company. I also keep your home tidy, respect your space, and send regular updates so you always know how your pet is doing.
About: I have taken care of family and friends pets ranging from cats, dogs, and fish. I love going on walks with dogs or just hanging out inside with a kitty. I have trained my dog in some basics like sit and come. I am currently out of school and have a free schedule. This makes it easier to care for your sweet animal! I am able to spend as much time as needed with your fur baby! I live in an apartment and have one very loving dog. My apartment had fenced in areas for dogs to run around in and lots of space for outdoor time. I have 2 rooms so I can keep my dog separated from your fur baby if requested. I spent lots of time with my pup and would love to spend time with yours!

About: With two years of experience I provide safe , loving care and a happy, fun environment for your pet! I also give photo updates so that you can see how your pet is doing and you stay stress free! I have college classes weekly from 8-3 but my evenings are completely open for walks, feedings, and playtime. I am also available for the weekend! Your pets safety is my number one priority! While caring for pets I ensure they have a comfortable secure space. I also am communicating with regular photo updates and check ins so that you can see how your pet is doing!
“Where do I start? I loved Gwen and CC. From the minute we met them at the meet and greet, I knew they were wonderful. As we sat and talked, they loved on both our pups - who fell asleep while being petted - and they were so sad to see them go. We received pictures and updates and the house looked perfect when we got home (nicer than when we left it!) They are true dog lovers and it showed with how they took care of our boys. We will absolutely be using them again - and again.”

“Eleanor did a great job with my two cats. She communicated well with me throughout the process. I told Eleanor she would probably never see my cats but she went the extra mile and found them. She even took pictures to show where they were. Thank you for doing a great job, Eleanor.”

“We hired Ali to take care of our four legged son, our standard Poodle Leo. She responded promptly when we reached out to her. The minute she met Leo, he fell in love with her. She has a kind and tender demeanor with dogs. Ali is very nice to talk and easy going. She is responsible and flexible, trying to accommodate the needs of her customers. Every day she came to our house, she provided us with a detailed report of Leo’s activities along with a cute photo. We appreciate that. Ali was always on time. We felt so at peace during our weekend get away knowing that Leo was being taken care by someone caring and responsible. Ali met all of our expectations. We will hire her again and we definitely recommend her to anyone needing pet sitting services.”

absolutely amazing, my dog can be a little anxious when meeting new people and she was so amazing with her, she took the time out of her day to come and meet her and was so patient it was incredible, when I got back home I could tell my dog was well cared for and loved, definitely will be booking again in the future!!

Tessa was fantastic from start to finish. She was always on time, super communicative, and made it easy for me to relax while I was out of town. I especially appreciated how patient and attentive she was with my two older dogs. She clearly understands that senior pups need a little extra care and consideration. I came home to happy, well-cared-for dogs, which is honestly the best endorsement there is. I wouldn’t hesitate to book her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, thoughtful pet sitter.

100/10 stars! Kyle was absolutely amazing for our crew! We booked with him last minute & around Christmas time! With 3 dogs, we were slightly worried if he'd be able to handle it, but he handled everything seamlessly & with grace! The dogs instantly were instantly comfortable around him too, and our cat, who is VERY shy, even came out of hiding too! Kyle went ABOVE & BEYOND what we asked & we couldn't have felt more comfortable! He is very knowledgeable & super trust worthy! We will not be using any other sitter ever again! Praying he keeps us! Haha 😊

Nicole has helped me with my 2 dogs twice now and I couldn’t be happier. I was lucky to find her on short notice and will definitely use her again in the future. She is extremely caring, patient, and you can tell how much she loves animals. I would recommend Nicole to everyone!

⸻ I reached out to Elizabeth and she responded with such a positive and warm attitude. When we met in person, I immediately liked her—she’s very outgoing and easy to connect with. I have four cats, and they’re not the easiest to win over. Three of them usually hide under the bed when strangers are around, but one actually came out to greet her. Elizabeth was incredibly kind and patient, speaking gently and making a real effort to help them feel comfortable. Although I originally booked her for six days, I only needed help for five. When I returned, everything was spotless—the litter boxes were clean, they had fresh water, and the cats all seemed happy and well cared for.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
