“Our mini dachshund can be a challenge because he is older, and a bit of a loner. He isn’t around a lot of other animals and that can also make knowing how he will react a bit of a challenge. Thomas was really great. When we first arrived, Snicklefritz was very anxious and was a bit weary of me putting him down. Thomas was very patient with him and let Snick become more acquainted with him and with the yard. He sent me pictures throughout the stay to update me on how he was doing and what he was up to. Thomas made me feel much more relaxed and confident that Snicklefritz was doing well. We will certainly rebook in the future.”

About: I’ve had and taken care of many different breeds and sizes over my life time of dogs as well as special needs and cats too! I typically wake up around 7-8. Go to the gym sometime within the day but other than that I’m free to watch your babies and take good care of them. I have a really friendly dog who is no more than 20 pounds and a fenced in yard if I watch them at my house. If at someone else house I have plenty of experience with that too and can do all that will be asked.

About: I’ve lived in a multiple animal household my whole life. Now I have 3 pups of my own and 2 outdoor cats that come first. I work full-time but am available before 8 am, lunch break from 12-1, and after 5 pm through the week and all day during weekends I have a fenced in yard. Dogs are welcome to go in and out as they please, roam common areas, and take naps wherever, whenever.

About: I have worked at a vet clinic for the past 7 summers. I have experience with all types of pets especially dogs and cats in a medical and home setting. I have three dogs of my own. I have a very flexible schedule during the summer as I am a college student who works remotely. During the school year I am available but not as frequently. I go to school in Georgia so am available to dog sit in that area from August through May. I am back in Virginia during the summer so my location can vary based on the time of year. I love to spend quality time with your fur babies. If they enjoy cuddles I am your girl. I will take them on walks, play fetch, or simply be someone to keep them company.
About: I grew up with cats and was always around cats at my friend’s homes. Even though they may not be as energetic as dogs, they deserve just as much love and attention. “Destiny cat sat our cat while we were out of town for 10 days. She came over daily to feed our cat, play with her, and keep her company. She left our home spotless and even washed the cat bowl and swept up the cat litter that our cat kicks out of her litter box before our return. She also send us videos and pictures regularly so our minds were put to ease that our cat was taken care of back home. About: Dogs have been a part of my life for 30 years. I am an intuitive, attentive caregiver for pets and people alike. I know that your pet's physical and mental well-being are equally important and recognize that sometimes we just need a little extra. Sometimes it's a walk, sometimes it's a belly rub. Whatever it is I love to figure out and help those in my care feel as comfortable and secure as possible. I am a stay at home, homeschooling mom of three older children with a flexible schedule. I can easily accommodate a pet's needs into my day-to-day routine. I am available to watch pets throughout the weekend, but do not accept Saturday drop-offs. Friday drop-offs must be by 4:30pm. I have a fenced back yard with lots of shade and a deck. Dogs are welcome inside. I have three indoor/outdoor cats. As long as your pup won't try to eat them, we'll be fine ;) I regularly walk every day and can walk or run your pup as needed!

About: I’ve been a dog lover since I was a young child! Even when I was barely four feet tall, I delighted in taking care of, feeding, walking, and of course playing with our pups! And now as an adult, I have 2 rescue dogs that I have trained up and loved on (one a senior dog and one a puppy). Caring for dogs truly gives me joy and allows me to pour into others and give back. We don’t deserve dogs, but I sure am grateful we get to share our lives with them! I work full time from home and have complete flexibility with my work schedule. Leaves me time to feed the dogs, let the dogs out in the back yard, and ample amount of play time! I have a fully fenced in back yard with over half an acre for the dogs to play. The outdoor space has ample amount of grass with plenty of squirrels to chase.

About: I have been a vet technician for over 10 years now and currently in school to become a registered vet technician. I’m able to monitor your pet especially if having conditions such as diabetes and/or have chronic conditions. I love the furry babies and love what I do! I own a two Boston terriers and have a family of my own that is my world! I can guarantee you that your pet will be taken care of with ER experience so I would know the signs for sure if your baby needed medical help. Since I work at an animal hospital this is a win win situation! Only that I can use my knowledge and skills to help owners feel at ease when leaving their furry babies with me. My dogs are SPOILED especially my bostons. We go on daily walks, I do not crate them but when I have pets that I do sit, I would separate them safety wise. I’m able to monitor behaviors before introducing my dogs to other clients’ pets. I’m pursuing to stay home full time and focus on school. With staying home I will have more time and flexibility on my schedule to take care of your babies. I currently live in an apartment complex but can accommodate room. With the experience I have I’m able to tell if your pet has social anxiety or anxious away from home. I also have a crate if needed.

About: I currently pet sit often for my best friend. She has a rescue dog that has special requirements and I have gained his trust and go walk him and his brother when she travels. Understanding that the dogs past experiences can influence their behaviors is very important to me. Some need more patience and understanding than others. I work from home and love spending time with my dogs during work breaks. I can love on your baby during the day as well! I have a big home where your pet is welcome to roam. If they are crated at certain times, I can accommodate that as well. I have a small and large crate in the guest room. When I got older, I began getting requests for looking after dogs and cats while people went on vacation. If I have any questions or concerns I will contact them right away. As well as the normal tasks of general care, I will also provide your pet with companionship and affection while you are away. For dogs, this could look like playing, walking, or just sitting and cuddling. For cats, also playing and cuddling. Having human contact even with just being present can provide great comfort to animals while their people are away. I am happy to provide this service and hangout with some cute friends in the process!
“First time user of a dog sitter and it was a complete success. Samantha asked all the right questions when we met and Charlie and Gizzy were happy campers. I really was impressed the with Rover cards that showed where they had walked and how long. I knew exactly where they were and where they had been. When we returned home we were met at the doors with tails wagging but I had to stop and wonder, were they glad to see us or did they think Sam was back to play. About: I’ve had and taken care of many different breeds and sizes over my life time of dogs as well as special needs and cats too! I typically wake up around 7-8. Go to the gym sometime within the day but other than that I’m free to watch your babies and take good care of them. I have a really friendly dog who is no more than 20 pounds and a fenced in yard if I watch them at my house. If at someone else house I have plenty of experience with that too and can do all that will be asked.

About: I can’t remember a time in my life I haven’t had at least 4 or 5 dogs around me. My family calls me a dog whisperer. Me and dogs just.. understand each other… I think they read the “grandparent” energy I have for them! Every dog loves me because I take care of them and listen to them. About: I’ve taken care of animals from a young age and I’ve grown to love it, I love it so much I’m going to school and turning working with animals into a full time career. “Our mini dachshund can be a challenge because he is older, and a bit of a loner. He isn’t around a lot of other animals and that can also make knowing how he will react a bit of a challenge. Thomas was really great. When we first arrived, Snicklefritz was very anxious and was a bit weary of me putting him down. Thomas was very patient with him and let Snick become more acquainted with him and with the yard. He sent me pictures throughout the stay to update me on how he was doing and what he was up to. Thomas made me feel much more relaxed and confident that Snicklefritz was doing well. We will certainly rebook in the future.”
