“Keren is fantastic! Her home is such a wonderful place for a dog to stay, and she was a complete professional from first contact until we picked up our Callie. Our pup seemed very happy at the end of the day, and we got great feedback about how she did. I think it would be really hard to find a better sitter on Rover than Keren!”

Great experience, any questions I told her to feel free to call or text. She did send a couple cute pics taking Daisy for a walk & a nap with her blanket ❤️”

About: I have had dogs all of my life, all breeds and all ages. We are a family of 6, Mom, Dad, our 12 yr old daughter and our 3 fur babies. We dedicate our time to making them happy and live a full life. We have volunteered to foster puppies through the SPCA and pet sit for family as well. Our home is cozy with a good size backyard. All dogs would sleep indoors and have someone with them at all times since We work from home. We currently work from home so there will always be someone home with your pet. We can go for short or long walks a couple times per day and they have full access to to indoor and outdoor throughout the day. We have a fenced backyard and can separate rooms with baby gates if needed. There’s a doggy door in the garage to the backyard and two separate runners. We have a soon to be 5 yr old German shepherd, a 9 yr old rescue chihuahua and our old man a 10 yr old Shih Tzu. They are spayed/neutered and get along great with other dogs. You will have the option to have your pet sleep in the living room alongside our dogs or in a separate room.
About: I have two fur babies of my own and know they’re a lot of work! I love to help other families and learn more from others. I’m currently working part time and am on summer vacation so my schedule is currently very flexible! I can plan accordingly to best meet you. Working with each pet is different. Depending on what routine you have your pet on is what I will adapt to! I know from experience that they need attention and play just like children.
“Amber took great care of my doggone. They went on adventures and my dog was returned sleepy and happy! Amber had treats ready at drop off to make the transition easier. She made sure to check for any issues she'd need to know of. I was confident with Amber taking care of my pup. He had a great time!”

“Jill was awesome and Jack really enjoyed his day with her. He came back cleaner than when we left him and a happy pup. Would definitely use Jill again when we are in the Monterey area!”

About: I’ve owned seniors dogs, puppies and everything in between. Jack Russell Terrier to English Mastiff. I’ve also owned cats with diabetes that required insulin daily, neurotic quirky animals we’ve had to adapt to, chickens, goats, sheep, bearded dragons and other reptiles. We are an active family. Hilo and Koa go most places with us. However, there are times he must stay home in his covered kennel, fenced yard or inside depending on weather. We enjoy the rhythm of our daily routines just as much as all of our animals. To keep it humming everyone works in concert sharing the load of responsibilities.
“Max had a great time at Mike’s. Mike and his wife were very communicative throughout the day. Max is a pandemic pup with some quirks but they were very patient with him and took him on a walk to ease some of his anxiety. We are very happy to have found a safe space for Max while visiting California.”

“Love love Gabe and the family. Hemmingway is so well cared for and is really part of their family. Their back yard is perfect for many dogs at one time. Separated by secure fences, an area for multiple large crates and a sprinkler and shaded patio. Easy access to the house from multiple 101 exits. Highly recommended!”

“Carol communicated well, and sent us pictures and a video of our little puppy throughout the day. When we went to pick Tucker up, he seemed content and relaxed. He was happy to see us but not anxious. It's relieving to find a caretaker who wants to spend quality time with our best friend And care for him in such a way as to make him feel at home. Thanks for taking care of our buddy, Carol!!”

About: Hello, my name is Karina. I truly adore animals and would love to care for your pets. I treat every pet the same way I would want my own pet to be treated with love, patience, and attention. I know how important it is to feel at ease while you’re away, so I always send regular updates to keep you informed on how your pet is doing. Your pet will never feel alone. My mom and sister are also animal lovers, and together we make sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and cared for like family. Cats stay indoors in our rooms in a calm, cozy space. Dogs are kept both inside and outside during the day, and we also provide walks. At night, dogs are kept indoors so I always know they are safe. I carefully follow all feeding instructions and any specific routines you provide. I also keep a clean, safe environment, including a well-maintained yard. I currently have one cat, so I understand how much trust it takes to leave your pet with someone. My goal is to make both you and your pet feel completely comfortable. If you have any questions or would like to meet, please reach out. I would love to get to know you and your pet. I’m currently working part time, so I’ll have plenty of time to take your pets on walks and play with. When I’m not home my family is with them and also treats them with the same love. (No children in the home) I provide safety to your pets by keeping their litter box hygienic, providing a fenced yard, and monitoring them throughout the entire day. I treat your pets like how I’d like my pet to be treated.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 836 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Moss Landing. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Moss Landing commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
