About: I’ve looked after animals since I was two years old. Growing up on a small farm in Ohio, I learned to care for an array of species. From goats and guinea pigs to dogs and cats, they all hold a special place in my heart. I have experience taking care of all ages, young and old, as well as animals with special needs. As it turned out the flight was only delayed an hour but it was good to know she would have been able to continue caring for Bunter. I was away for a 3 day weekend and came back to a happy dog. Meredith stayed in our home while we went away for a weekend. She was communicative, responsive, and prompt, clearly interested in ensuring that she met our needs and Moxie's. She asked that we have a "meet and greet" before the booking, and made sure that not only did she learn about our routine, but also interacted with Moxie to understand her personality. Massive thunderstorms while we were away triggered the pup's anxiety, but Meredith was resourceful and conscientious in dealing with her. She also sent pictures, which were appreciated. We will hope she's available next time we need a house sitter; we'd like to book her again!
This is the second time we used Stephanie to house sit for our 2 dogs and 2 cats. We use her Rover drop in visit service quite frequently and are always impressed. Stephanie is amazing. I had such a sense of relief knowing she would be there as she knows our animals so well. Sent great pictures throughout the stay. The Rover app kept us in constant communication as needed. This was a long vacation (Stephanie stayed for 12 days). We came home to happy, healthy animals and a clean house (she always goes well beyond, we don't ask her for this). When I found out the animals were all keeping their usual routines (ex, our cat sitting with Stephanie on the sofa watching TV, just like she does with us) I knew having Stephanie house sit was the BEST decision.
