About: I’ve always had dogs and cats in my home, spending most of my life training and caring for them! I’ve had a love for animals all of my life. So much so, that I’ve chosen to study them for my PhD at Duke University! I’m a researcher at Duke University, so my schedule is very flexible. I am mostly available for morning, midday, and night visits/walks. I occasionally travel for work but will communicate this in advance for those needing weekly sitters. I am currently open for pet sitting and walking. Let me know what your dog would need in terms of walking, socializing, training, and care. I’m happy to contribute in any way I can for visits.

“Amanda has been watching my two dogs whenever we can't take them with us for a few years now. She has always stayed at our home with them. She takes wonderful care of them with the added benefit of being in the house while we are gone. She is reliable and trustworthy, which is why I had no problem asking her to dog & house sit for us. “Kim was excellent! She dropped in on my dog twice a day for a week while I was out of town, once to walk him and once to feed him. Even though my dog can be a bit troublesome when it comes to meeting new people, he warmed up to Kim right away! She is kind, professional, and goes above + beyond. When my dog accidentally trapped himself in the laundry room and made a big mess in his panicked state, Kim immediately gave us an update and even cleaned up the mess. I highly recommend her services and will gladly use them again.”

I haven't use Rover for a year or more now and she made me feel comfortable as I was a bit nervous as I do have large breed dogs, one with high prey drive and one that isn't very trusting of others. She was very understanding. She went above and beyond helping with one of the pups that had a upset tummy she let me know what she found upon arrival and clean the area for me and let me know. Those are the things that us as pet parents really appreciate and helps to keeps us at ease and that is exactly what Christina did for our family.”

“Laurie did drop in visits with our two cats while we were away for 5 days. She was a good cat sitter for us. She communicated when the schedule needed to vary. I would have given 5 stars if she had gone the extra mile and either swept or vacuumed the cat litter that the cats tracked all over the laundry room floor and hallway. Other than that she was good. She did not remember where I showed her the plastics bags were so she ended bringing her own bags to put litter in, which was thoughtful.”

“She is the best!! I went out of town for a week and took care out my two dogs and I could have not ask for a better person to take care out my little pups. I asked her back when I went out of town and again wonderful experience! 😊 she walked, fed, and even took them on strolls I don’t really trust kennels especially when I’m away for a while it’s wonderful to build a bond with someone you know will give quality care.
