For dogs, that might mean walks, backyard fetch, tug-of-war, or practicing basic commands for mental stimulation. For more laid-back pups, we’ll enjoy cuddle time, belly rubs, and lounging in a cozy spot together. I always pay attention to their energy level and personality to make sure they feel comfortable and happy. For cats, I make time for interactive play with wand toys, laser pointers, or their favorite toys, plus plenty of affection (on their terms!). I also keep litter boxes tidy and make sure they have fresh food and water. In the evening, we wind down with another walk or potty break, dinner, and calm time so they can relax before bed.
