While I try to be respectful as possible and give her plenty of notice, I had a bit of an emergency and asked her the night before if she could take care of my dog and room mates cats and she totally came through for me. She's truly a blessing and such a good sitter. I want to leave her good reviews because she does such a great job but I also want to keep her all to myself (laughing out loud lolol) because she's such a gem! Also in addition to the thank you card and pictures, she also made the fur babies Christmas ornaments!!! Love her <3”

About: I’ve grown up in a house full of dogs and still spend a lot of time caring for them today, including German Shepherds, so I’m comfortable handling larger, high-energy breeds. My family jokes that I’m the “dog whisperer” because animals tend to warm up to me quickly. I’ve helped care for both my own dogs and others whenever needed, and I truly love being around animals. I’m currently an online college student, so I have a very flexible schedule and can give pets lots of attention and care. I’m currently doing online college, so my schedule is very flexible and gives me plenty of time to care for pets throughout the day. I’m available most weekdays and weekends for walks, drop-ins, boarding, and spending quality time with your pets to make sure they feel comfortable and cared for. I currently live in a spacious apartment with plenty of walking areas nearby for exercise and potty breaks. I always make sure pets are supervised, comfortable, and cared for in a calm and safe environment. “Our original house sitter (not from Rover) cancelled about a week away from departure. Because of the timing there were no kennel options (we don't do cheap with the babies), and Rover past sitters were all unavailable. Stephen came up with no previous jobs in this area but seemed ok on the site. So with our previous good experiences with Rover we decided to give him a try. He came over for about an hour the day after we picked him to meet the doggies and find out about the house which is large with a lot of automation. By the end of that meeting we were comfortable with his abilities. While we were away, he checked in with us daily, sent pictures and asked good questions on things that I had forgot to mention. The doggies took to him right away and ate well (one gets finnicky if he is worried) while having a good time with him. We always tell house sitters to make themselves at home and have never had a problem with the condition of the house when we returned. Stephen was no exception, he left the house clean, vacuumed, dishes clean and left the bedding as instructed by my wife. One of our dogs is very good at escaping and runs across roads, through yards and can get lost. Stephen apparently had no problems keeping Henry busy but, on a leash, outside of the house as observed on the outdoor Ring cameras during walks. We (including the doggies) look forward to seeing him again. We would highly recommend him for your consideration.”

About: I have grown up caring for and loving animals my entire life! I believe they have helped shape who I am and encourage me to work with all types of animals, big or small, energetic or timid, and even "difficult" pets. I have helped raise puppies and kittens, but currently my pets have aged like fine wine and have entered their elderly era. I don't currently have any pets as my and cats have crossed the rainbow bridge in the last 2 years.I love meeting new dogs and cats and love to respectfully greet pets who are out and about. “Christie was excellent. My puppies loved her. While we were away, she sent me pics of the puppies every day doing something in their normal daily routine. She took them for walkies, which cemented her and their relationship because it is one of their favorite activities which we told her was optional because they get super excited and is like walking a team of pulling sled dogs. She handled it with ease. When we returned home after the "happy to see you" reunion, the puppies were calm, full of tail wags, and going back to Christie to be petted and loved on. Christie also watered my garden for me while we were gone. She is very neat and tidy and the house was exactly mirror to when we left the week before. Our puppies have limited access to other people so they are suspicious of all new people they encounter, Christie won our dogs over with ease because she has a very gentle, kind, and genuinely caring nature as person.
