About: I have had animals my entire life. As a child we had cats, and dogs. I helped care for my neighbors hobby farm when they were away. As an adult with my own children we have had a dog, who sadly passed away 3 years ago. He was my eldest pet. He purchased a bunny to appease his love for animals, but it has not filled that hole that is dog left. I have 3 kids, 13, 9 and 6. They all love animals. We help care for friends pets when they're out of town. I would love to care for your pet! And my children will give them lots of love and snuggles. I homeschool my kids. I have experience reading dog body language and helping pets feel safe, comfortable, and understood. In addition to my professional experience, I’ve been extensively involved in rescue work as a foster home and running a shelter behavior group of volunteers so I’m especially patient with reactive, anxious, or higher-needs dogs. I truly enjoy getting to know each dog’s unique personality and tailoring care to what works best for them. I’m currently a stay at home mom and so I am able to be flexible in most cases. Evenings and weekends will be my most available times! I have two dogs of my own who are very used to new animals coming and going. I don’t have a fenced backyard, but do have tie outs or can leash walk any pets at my home. Every animal has different needs, so I will do my best to figure out what sleeping arrangements make them the most comfortable during their stay (I have kennels of every size so people do not need to bring theirs back and forth unless they prefer to). I’m well versed in methods of calming for pets that might be nervous. I do have a 6 month old infant at home who is very used to dogs, but any pets coming in to my home would need to be safe and comfortable around her.
