About: Hello! I'm Tina. I live in Waconia, and I'm looking to care for your dogs, for walks, quiet snuggles, or just a good run around the back yard. Will house/pet sit as well. I've had 3 dogs in my life, and 20+ years of playtime, laughs, and bonding with my "kids" as I call them. I currently have a 15 year old shih tzu/mix who is my baby. In the past, I've taken care of one of my dogs, who had many health issues, so I'm experienced with senior or special needs animals. I've administered meds (pills), spent many days at the vet, and am very sensitive to ill animals and senior animals who just want to rest or have low key play. I have experience with puppies as well who are looking to just have fun! I'm very responsible and dedicated to my animals, and would be the same with yours. Give me a try! =) Right now my schedule is open availability, so I'll have plenty of time to devote to your animal and their needs. I have availability on weekends as well, but that can change by the week. I have an unfenced yard and one senior little ole lady shih tzu who is extremely low maintenance and very sweet. She has free range of the house, but I do crate her when I'm away from home for periods of time.

About: I have several years of dog and house-sitting experience through word-of-mouth referrals, caring for pets during trips ranging from a few days to a week and a half. I strive to find what works for each pet as an individual. I have experience caring for elderly dogs, administering oral medication, and working with multiple pets. I’ve cared for a range of dogs—from picky eaters and nervous, anxious dogs that preferred a consistent schedule and energetic dogs with mischievous streaks. Working with such different dogs has helped me become flexible and responsive to a wide range of temperaments and care requirements. Past clients have repeatedly trusted me with their pets and homes, and many have returned for additional bookings. Through these experiences, I have followed detailed care instructions, monitored pets for changes in behavior, provided excercise and affection, maintained a safe environment, and communicated reliably with owners. This means that when a situation is worrisome, I will err on the side of caution as well as informing you. My goal is always to make pets feel comfortable, cared for, and loved while you’re away and for you to feel secure your pets are safe and in responsible, good hands. As a college student home for the summer, I’m currently working part-time, and my hours are somewhat inconsistent (with a trend towards more availability in the evenings), however taking time off would be no problem for me should it be required, given there’s sufficient advance notice. When caring for pets in a client's home, I always prioritize following any provided instructions and established routines. In this respect, I especially appreciate detailed care notes, as they help me provide the most consistent and personalized care possible. Every pet is different, and I believe clients know their pets best. At the same time, I use good judgment and common-sense safety practices to ensure pets remain safe, healthy, and comfortable while their parents are away. I am patient, attentive, and observant, and I make it a priority to learn each pet's personality, preferences, and needs. Whatever that means, I aim to adapt my care to what will help each pet feel most at ease. I also value staying in contact with pet parents throughout their time away, as much as their availability and preferences allow. Regular updates help provide peace of mind to everyone, and if any questions or unexpected situations arise, I can communicate promptly so clients stay informed and involved in decisions regarding their pet's care. My goal is to create a safe and familiar environment where pets can thrive and clients can feel confident that their pets and homes are being well cared for.
About: Hello! My name is Tyler and I've been around animals my entire life. I am very comfortable with dogs and cats, including in my home, as we have a four-year old Frenchie, Odie, and two-year-old Boston Terrier, Marzipan. I am a work-from-home sports journalist who can leave the house, often at specific times, to meet your needs. I also have the flexibility to potentially stay at your home or be there during the day to interact with your animal, as I can work remotely as long as I have internet. I have been helping watch my friends' animals over the last 10-15 years, giving me plenty of experience to help with your animal and give them all the pets they want while I'm there! I am comfortable with doing things like giving medication, putting in a crate, take on walks, etc. Please feel free ot reach out if you have any questions! I am a work from home sports journalist with a very flexible schedule. I do have multiple YouTube shows I do each week where I would need to be in my office, but those are around 11 and 6 on both Mondays and Thursdays. I can do most of my work remotely, so I can sit for you by either hanging out during the day or possibly staying the night. I will treat your dogs like I do my own: with care, compassion, and a lot of love. I am a kind hearted soul myself, and often connect very well with dogs. Whether you need them to be walked, on strict rest, get lots of playtime, etc, I will gladly do that for your pup like I do for my own at home.
About: MY family and I foster through the Carver-Scott humane society, with 2 Maine Coon cats of our own. I have 2 assistants (11 & 7) that would join me if approved to play with and cuddle your pet. We are understanding of varying personalities and intricacies of all animals and needs they may have. Our family is a homeschooling family that has day and night opportunities to serve your family. Our schedule is constantly changing, but can make time that fits into your schedule as well. We will come to your home to do the items you wish - feed, play, walk, cuddle with your pet. If your pet prefers a quiet environment with no kids, I will come solo. If your pet loves to play and get cuddled the 2 children will be happy to love on your pet. They are trained by the humane society and are well equipped to handle pets in different situations.

About: I currently have two pomskies, a russian blue, and a black cat. I also had two 80 lbs Weimaraners, a black cat, and a teddy bear hamster growing up as well as taking care of all the neighbors pets when they would go on vacation prior to starting Rover! I now have interacted with almost every size of dog and multiple cats through my services. - I was a dual-sport athlete in college where I did gymnastics and track, and I currently weight lift. I preface this because some pet owners in the past have said I appear to be a smaller girl but I am stronger than I look and have walked/taken care of big dogs and very high energy dogs😂 - My services include: •30 minute dog walks include a fun stroll around your neighborhood to give your pet some fresh air and exercise during the day. •30 minute drop-ins include potty breaks, feeding, playtime, and of course plenty of love to make sure your pet is comfortable while you’re away. You may book two per day! •I’m always open to any extra needs or modifying for your situation!! I’m currently in law school and have class mid-day from August to May. I have mornings and evenings/nights open for drop in visits and dog walking during these months. From May to August, I work very early mornings 5x a week. I’m free 2pm and onwards during the summer months for drop-ins and dog walking services. I also stop by prior to my 6am start time for work to do drop-in visits as well. Please don’t be afraid to reach out for anything at all! •I always allow meet-and-greets for a quick 10 minute appointment (free) prior to any drop-ins or walking services so that I’m no stranger to you or your pet before I stop by for the first service. This also allows us to establish what needs your pet may have and your expectations for me. These aren’t mandatory to be able to book with me, just solely a comfort thing! •I remember the way pet items were stored in your home and return them back to the way they were after I’m done using them. •I always message you and ask for permission prior to entering any other part of the house that’s not necessary to the service. This rarely happens, but for example: a dog I came to walk was sleeping in the master bedroom so I messaged the owner first prior to retrieving him for our walk😂
About: I recently lost my beagle of almost 15 years and I’m looking for some furry play time. I have had a dog my whole life and appreciate all types. My beagle had several health ailments throughout his life so I am comfortable with medications and special needs. I was so grateful for the dog sitters I had, I am looking to provide the same comfort and security to you and your dog while you’re away. I currently work full time throughout the week, 8-4pm but my routine and schedule are very flexible if I need to come home during the day. My home has a fenced yard for your dog to get plenty of exercise. I don’t have any other pets in the house on a regular basis.
About: I have worked with dogs and cats doing on 6 years now, and have had the opportunity to be around a ton of personalities and care for many different energy levels. In this, I also have experience crate, house, and yard training! Though I’m currently at college, I have quite a few breaks during the day in which I could check in on any pets and make sure they are happy, heathy, fed, and don’t need to use the restroom. I have all nights and most weekends free, and have flexible hours during most of the week. While it certainly depends on the personality and age of the pet, general care would include meeting the basic needs (food, water, bathroom breaks, and running/walking time) while also being ready and able to play, facilitate enrichment times, and cuddle especially clingy pets.
About: I have been dog and cat sitting for over 10yrs. I usually stay at the owners house. Experienced with dogs with medical issues, and high anxiety. I have given medications and have done some training. I have done just overnight stays, but have also done 3month long stays. I am also a Hairstylist and Skin care specialist. I rent a chair at a salon and make my own schedule, so my hours are flexable. I enjoy spending time with pets, but just don't live in a place were I can have one. I am not married and have no children, so I am completely available and focused on your pet. I usually like to meet you and your pet/pets about 1week before the scheduled appointment, so I can get to know you, your pet and your pets routine, feeding times, walking, medications if needed, etc. This also helps the dog recognize me when I show up, when you aren't there.
About: I have taken care of both dogs and cats growing up. I always take care of other animals like i treat my own, if not better. Monday and Tuesday I work 12-4 so I can watch your furry friends before or after. My schedule varies but I'm really flexible. I take care of 3 cats and help out with 3 dogs. I help with other people's animals whenever I can. I have 3 cats. I have toys that my cats can play with and an open area for them to run around. I love dogs, I had a family pit growing up and I loved her. I would throw a stick or ball for her to get, we had fun.
About: Had dogs my whole life. Usually labs. But always enjoyed them more than humans 🤣. Recently had my dog of 15 years pass away and am just looking for some animal atttention! *Update: got a new golden doodle puppy! So as long as your dog is friendly they can play! I do a lot of work from home but would be busy Tuesday’s and thursdays. Some weeks vary. But as long as it’s planned I have some leeway with my schedule. I have a dog friendly neighborhood with an electric fence that was for my dog. The yard is pretty big. And we have ropes leashes and collars for all shapes and sizes of pups 🐶
About: I’ve been caring for dogs and other animals for about five years! I started out by dog- and house-sitting for families in my neighborhood, and eventually, word started to spread. Before long, I was being reached out to more and more often to care for dogs, bunnies, hamsters, cats, and guinea pigs! In May 2025, I got a puppy of my own named Goose. Once Goose turned one, I decided to join Rover so I could expand my experience and have the opportunity to help even more pet parents with their animals’ care. I understand how hard it can be to find a family friend—or simply someone you know and trust—to watch your pet. Sometimes, when that option isn’t available, people have no choice but to turn to an app like Rover and trust someone they may have never met before. Because of that, one of the things I pride myself on most is providing a detailed description of EVERY pet visit, along with a possibly excessive amount of pictures! I know the anxiety that can come with leaving your pet in someone else’s care, so I do my best to be reliable, trustworthy, and communicative. I want every update I give you to make you feel like you were there in person, while making sure you’re always kept in the loop about how your pet is doing. At the end of the day, I want you to feel confident knowing your pet is in good hands, getting plenty of love and attention while you’re away! Pet care fits in perfectly with my routine. I am very responsible when it comes to other people’s pets and am very flexible and available. In my home, someone is almost always around. My dad works from home and I have school for a minimum of 2 hours in the morning. In my clients homes, I take time out of my day to spend time with their animals, and work according to the animals schedule, not mine.

I’m a dog lover and behavior-focused pet caregiver who believes every dog deserves to spend their time being themselves, feeling comfortable, and having fun! 🐶 3+ years of professional experience working with dogs in daycare & boarding settings 🏡 Experienced with a wide variety of breeds, personalities, energy levels, and behavior needs. 🐾 I have dogs of my own, so I understand that every dog is an individual and should be treated like family 🧠 Currently studying dog behavior and training and always learning more 👀 Strong understanding of canine body language and behavior, including recognizing signs of stress, discomfort, excitement, and relaxation 💕 I let your dog lead the way — whether they want to play, sniff, explore, cuddle, relax, or simply have some quiet time 🌿 I believe dogs should have choices whenever safely possible rather than being pushed into activities they aren’t comfortable with 🚫 Fear, pain, and intimidation have no place in my care. I use gentle, positive, and respectful handling with every pet My goal is simple: your dog gets to have a staycation that feels like it was made just for them. 🐾 I’m an online student and a freelancer, so I make my own schedule and I’ll have plenty of time for your furry friend! About: 🐾 About Me Hi! I’m Anna — lifelong animal lover, certified cat-obsessed, and the kind of person who stops to say hi to every dog on the sidewalk. I grew up with both cats and dogs, so caring for animals has always been a natural part of my life. I lost my soul kitty, Aida, who taught me so much about love, patience, and tuning into an animal’s emotions. Because of her, I show up for every pet with extra gentleness, attention, and respect. I know how important it is to feel like your pet is safe, understood, and happy while you're away. I’m calm, reliable, and easygoing — but also fun, playful, and fully committed to making sure your pets feel comfortable and cared for. Whether your pet is social, shy, quirky, energetic, or a little stubborn, I meet them exactly where they are. 🐶🐱 My Pet Care Approach ✨ All animals welcome — cats, dogs, seniors, shy pets, and everything in between. ✨ I prioritize safety, routine, and communication. ✨ I’m patient with anxious or nervous animals. ✨ I give lots of updates so you never wonder how things are going. I understand how hard it can be to trust someone with your pets — so I make it easy by treating them like my own. 💬 What Services I Offer -Drop-In Visits Perfect for feeding, litter scooping, playtime, cuddles, and check-ins. I’m great with shy cats. 💖 Why Choose Me? • Calm, patient energy animals naturally relax around • Experienced with cats of all ages • Big heart for pets with quirks, anxiety, or special routines • Reliable, communicative, and never rushes through visits • A little extra love in honor of Aida, my heart kitty Since I work from home, it’s easy for me to step out for drop-ins or walks throughout the day. My schedule is flexible, so I can accommodate morning, mid-day, or evening visits. Pet care blends smoothly into my week and gives me something grounding and joyful to look forward to. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I always follow the routine you already have in place. I handle feeding, fresh water, litter scooping, potty breaks, walks, playtime, and any medications as needed. I also pay close attention to your pet’s mood and body language so I can adjust my approach — some pets want play, some want cuddles, and some prefer calm company. For house sits (no overnights), I make sure pets feel comfortable in their space, stick to their schedule, keep things tidy, and give frequent photo updates so you always know they’re doing well.

Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-on-one walking services.
Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Minnetrista. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.
For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. Report cards require photos and can include a map of the walking route , total walk time, poop and pee breaks, and distance traveled, so you know exactly where your dog has been walking in Minnetrista.
Got specific details you'd like the dog walker to include? Message them in the app before your dog’s walk begins.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
Yes, you can find walkers who have experience with handling special pet needs in Minnetrista. On Rover:
- 93% of walkers can help with special care needs
- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
