“Tiffany and her family took such wonderful care of Benny while we were on vacation! It was clear that he received plenty of attention, affection, and love during his stay. Knowing he was safe, happy, and being treated like part of the family allowed us to truly relax and enjoy our trip without worrying. We would absolutely trust Tiffany with Benny again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a kind, reliable, and caring pet sitter!”

“Alina was very responsible and considerate of my dog's needs. I really appreciate her commitment to the task of taking care of my dog and would gladly recommend her, and/or book with her again.”

“This was our second time booking with Cassidy family, and once again we’re so grateful she was able to accommodate a last-minute request! It gave us real peace of mind knowing Lucky was in good hands. She sent photo updates throughout the stay, which we really appreciated. Her dog and children were both incredibly sweet and gentle with Lucky — it’s clear they’re a dog-loving household. We’re confident Lucky was well cared for and would happily book with her again!”

About: New to Rover but not new to caring for animals! I grew up on a farm with lots of animals - dogs, cats, goats, horses, rabbits, chickens, pigs... I've also informally pet sat for friends and neighbors with dogs and/or cats in the past. I've been a cat mom in the past, but I don't have a pet of my own right now. For dog walking, my work from home job allows me some flexibility to stop by and take your pup for a stroll! I can do earlier mornings, a lunch time walk on some days, and evening walks after 5pm. For doggy daycare, I work from home full time at a desk job - if my day is "busy" it just means I had a few more zoom calls than usual. I would absolutely be able to take time to provide potty breaks and maybe a walk around the neighborhood when the weather is good. I live on a main street in town, but there's also a nice quiet neighborhood right behind me with minimal traffic, perfect for a quick walk. I do travel three or four times a year for my job, generally for 3-5 days each time, but I'd be able to give you at least a couple of months advanced notice for those trips - they are never last minute! For doggy daycare, I don't smoke and I have plenty of space for your pup to hang out during the day so they don't feel cooped up - including a wrap around enclosed porch that I can keep secure, and a tall privacy-fenced back yard/garden area. While the yard is fenced, I do get birds and other critters roaming through, and I have a flower garden that could have some toxic plants for over-curious dogs. Because of that, I would not to leave them alone outside, but take those breaks with them. My house does have a fairly steep flight of stairs, so a dog without joint pain or struggles going up and down multiple times a day would be most comfortable. I do have lots of houseplants and some could be toxic - so again, if your dog tends to be curious and take a bite out of plants, I may not be the best fit for you.
“Shauni and Conner were wonderful pet sitters. Our 8mo old Beau enjoyed himself and the tons of playtime he had. Beau came home exhausted and slept so long. I would recommend boarding or dog sitting with Shauni and Conner.”

“Our energetic Maddie had a great stay with Tony. We always try to board her with people that have other dogs so she can play and make friends. Tony had her alone, but still managed to get her walking and running off leash in a fenced in yard and kept her happy. He was very good about reaching out and sending pictures during her stay which is very reassuring. Not enough Rover people do that! Tony is highly recommended!”

“Rebecca was professional and kind from our first interactions on Rover, to our live meet and greet, go during her boarding of our geriatric dog. Rebecca sent periodic updates and pictures which were wonderful to receive while away from our dog. We will definitely engage Rebecca’s care taking again.”

About: I’ve been taking care of animals since I was a kid. I’m mainly experienced in caring for cats and dogs, but also farm animals and smaller pets like gerbils. I’m hoping to make this a full time job as I love being with animals. My schedule is wide open to meet all your pets needs. My spacious home is in a quiet suburban neighborhood with an open field just down the road. I have 2 friendly cats, however visiting pets could be separated as needed.

About: I’ve taken care of a family dog Chihuahua for the past 8 years. I enjoy taking her on walks and giving her all the attention she deserves! I currently am on a job rotation in Maine. I am unable to take the step to caring for a dog full time, but I’d love to fill the void with weekly care! I care for a dog like I’d care for a family member. It’s important for me to create a comfortable environment for the dog to hang around in
“If we could give more stars we would!!! Nicholas is great at communicating, responding quickly and making sure our pup has a safe exciting time when he's with him. Our pup and Syl get along so well and it's the most precious thing to see.”

About: I have been dog sitting for my granddogs for over 10 years. I enjoy their company and snuggles. I am retired and love the company of dogs. I am home most days and have a flexible schedule. I have time to walk your dog and give them lots of love and snuggles. I have my granddog Monday-Friday. He and I go on little hikes when the weather is good. I brush him weekly and give him lots of attention.
“Emily was great! She was available super last minute when we needed someone to watch our cat for the day and was great at communicating. She sent regular updates throughout the day and our cat was in a great mood when we picked him up!”

“Tracy is fantastic, she was so accommodating and obviously cares so much about pups. Her place is really nice in a quiet neighborhood with a bunch of doggies and a 5mph speed limit. I felt so comfortable leaving Halo with her and will gladly again if I'm back on the area!”

“Laney was perfect for us and our dog! She was extremely responsive as we set up our date for Happy's two-day stay, and we enjoyed meeting with her by video beforehand. She was so welcoming to Happy -- and us -- and she clearly loves being with dogs and knows how to put everyone at ease. She did a great job of introducing Happy to her two lovely dogs and to her human family. We were confident that Happy would enjoy herself at Laney's, and she did! We're looking forward to returning to southern Maine soon so Happy can stay with her again!”

About: I have been a dog owner since I was 5 and for then past 37 years I have had primarily beagles along with one Vizsla with typically 2 at any given time. Our last beagle Charlie passed away a few months ago and while we would like the freedom having no pet allows us we miss the company and unconditional love they offer us. My wife worked as a vet tech for 10 years so we are comfortable administering meds and I have been pretty successful with training pups (yes even beagles). I work mostly from home and my wife has the summers off from teaching so it fits great unto our routine and it would be a pleasure to have dogs underfoot again. We have crates if dogs feel at home in them but they are welcome in all the rooms downstairs. We live on a long dirt road which is perfect for walks and if it gets too hot we have a cool basement and a pond for them to swim in.
“This is the second Noreen has watched our 3 year old pup, Faye, and we cannot speak high enough about her. She's very responsive, gives great updates, and sends plenty of pictures. Noreen always takes care of Faye exactly as we asked her too and asks questions when she has them. Noreen is a fantastic dog sitter and we would recommend her to anyone!”

“Peter provided a safe and happy place for our pet. He was responsive and communicated well. He kept us informed on how our dog was doing, including helpful and fun photos. Peter was easy to work with and we appreciated the one on one attention he gave to our dog. Having a nice fenced in yard as well as a quieter home, was helpful.”

Rebecca was great! We boarded our two Australian Shepards with her for the week we went on vacation. She was extremely responsive, provided frequent updates and photos, and even did pickup and drop off for our two dogs! We appreciate her service and would definitely book with her again.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Milton Mills home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Milton Mills.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Milton Mills sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NH ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
