“Hannah and her family were really great at taking care of my pup! I really appreciate her communicativeness and her flexibility. I had no concerns while she was taking care of my dog and would absolutely use her again for future boarding needs!”

“Janelle and Bob took very good care of Maggie. She looked happy and well cared for when we picked her up. She loved running around in their fenced in yard. We will definitely trust them with Maggie again. Highly recommend.”

“It was very easy to work with Katie from scheduling a meet and greet to arranging the drop off and pick up times. She and her daughter were very good to our little chihuahua and accommodated the special needs of a tiny dog (5 lbs) who admittedly is a bit of a princess. She is also an excellent communicator, sending us pictures and updates regularly as she was sensitive to the fact that we were nervous leaving our pup in a new place. Thank you Katie!”

“We were thrilled with the care of Angel while we were away. She can be skittish with new people, yet she fell right in with this wonderful family. I loved the photos and updates we got everyday and the flexibility when our plans changed slightly. Our only worry was that Angel wouldn’t miss us!!! I highly recommend and would utilize their services again.”

“My Nutty aka Nutmeg had an awesome time! Loved the pictures and videos - Thank you Jaclyn & family! He is a one person dog, loves other dogs, but he does not do well sequestered away, crated, etc. He needs people interaction and cuddling! He got tons here. Nutty is high energy and loves room to run so the fenced yard was golden. Lol. Usually he doesn't eat when I'm not around but he ate all his food! I was amazed. So this is definitely my go to place from now on.”

“This is our 2nd time leaving Roxy with Jeanne. Jeanne is very good with dogs and Roxy has a great time with her. We love the text updates with pictures that Jeanne provides. We can tell Roxy has a great time and that helps us enjoy our time away that much more. We will continue to use Jeanne going forward.”

“Excellent and reliable. I got stuck in another state for an extra day due to a flight cancellation, and she was so helpful with watching my dog extra and flexible with a last minute change in plans. Used her services multiple times and always satisfied!”

“We had a wonderful experience boarding our 6 month old puppy with Nicholas! He was responsive to all my questions and sent pictures every day! He took great care of our bulldog’s special skin care needs. Our puppy had so much fun and was well taken care of! She was truly treated as part of their family for the week! I feel relieved to have found such a great pet sitter and will certainly book with Nicholas again!”

“Connor was great with our dog Bolt! This was our first time going through the app, she made it very easy. We were bringing Bolt to a boarding place nearby but would always feel very on edge and worrying while on vacation. He would come home from the boarding place and his elbows were very rough and red and he would be so thirsty. I picked him up from Connor and he was fine, like he never left home. He was a little tired but that’s to be expected going to a new place. Connor’s house was clean and she has a very nice yard and large covered porch she sat under with him. She was easy to communicate with and flexible. As soon as I met her and she met my dog, I knew we were going to be good! I plan to bring him to her again soon and will continue to for as long as I can!”

“Alina was very responsible and considerate of my dog's needs. I really appreciate her commitment to the task of taking care of my dog and would gladly recommend her, and/or book with her again.”

“Diana was absolutely amazing with Nash! I can’t wait to use her services again! Nash went on plenty of walks her property is a dogs heaven. She sent so many pictures and updates! Truly the best possible experience!”

“Suzanne was exactly what we were hoping for when we decided to try Rover. She was very flexible with some last minute change of plans and the communication was excellent. I would definitely use her again and absolutely recommend her to anyone that needs a responsible sitter for their dog(s).”

“I can’t say enough good things about Lynda! Her dog got along great with our dog and Lynda kept us in the loop with pics and videos. We had a wonderful experience and wouldnt hesitate to leave our dog with Lynda again!”
“Really satisfied. Cody and Cassidy are very warm, loving and friendly as well as their daughter. Good communication and photos were also sent. Would certainly recommend them and do it again. Thank you.”

“Heidi is very responsive, friendly and affordable! She has a nice outdoor space for the dogs to roam around and play. She even sent me a couple videos and updates about my dog while he was in her care.”

“Janice was a very good communicator and provided me with many updates - including pictures - as she watched my pup. I was very comfortable with her caring for my pup. I would employ her again for sure!”

“Niccolo and his wife took such great care of our Momo—they walked her lots, encouraged that she play with their pets, and snuggled her all night long (her happy place!). We’ll definitely entrust her with them again next time we’re in the area. Thank you!”

“Rebecca was amazing with our 2 newfoundlands! we were camping at the nearby KOA and needed some last minute dog sitting. She was the first person we contacted and thank god she was available! Rebecca is so caring, sent us constant updates and made sure the newfs were cool and hydrated on this very hott day. If we could bring Rebecca home with us to NY we would! she is fantastic. thank you Rebecca! we'll visit again! ANYONE staying at the KOA and in need of some pet care, dont hesitate to contact her!”

“If there had been an option for six stars I would have taken it! Lauren took great care of my three cats and sent me tons of pictures. She played with them and made sure each kitty got attention. It was clear from the pix how much they enjoyed her. If you are looking for a conscientious, caring sitter, you could not do better than Lauren D.”

“Amanda was great. She did a meet and greet which was great. She communicated when she visited our kitty and provided pictures and a video. We would definitely use Amanda again.”

“Liz is fantastic! she has been incredibly patient with my shy kitty. it’s obvious by her care and attention that she knows and loves animals. she is trustworthy, considerate, and communicative. She is my go to person for drop in visits.”

“Jessica was a fantastic sitter for Woody during my week long vacation. I felt very comfortable with her in charge and Woody really liked her as well. She did everything that was asked of her and she often went above and beyond. She sent pictures and kept up with my trip and even left the lights on for me when I was on my way home. I would certainly book Jessica again and highly recommend her.”

Love playing with and walking them as well as just chilling on the couch with them. I am also very attentive to their feeding needs and will follow strict instructions of owner.
“Kaden was absolutely amazing!!! He sent pics and kept us updated on our girl while we were gone. He took care of our home and made sure everything was good during the freezing cold weather we had. We can’t say enough great things about him! We hope he was comfortable enough here with Stella to watch her again.”

“Second time we have used Jen. Could not be more pleased. Great communication, pets are happy and healthy, and she does exactly what she says she will. Thank you Jen. You release the stress of having to leave our pets.”

“Lee was amazing! On time every day and always gave a summary of each visit with photos of our two cats. Lee gave lots of attention to Sally and Charlotte and had no problem administering their medication. We will be booking with Lee again for our next vacation!”
About: Hi! I’m Samara and I am a HUGE animal lover. I’ve been taking care of and been around sorts of animals since I was 13. From farm animals (chickens, goats, horses) to household pets such as dogs, cats, rabbits, reptiles and fish. I have experience with many different breads as well as ages of animals. I am comfortable taking care of animals that need medications as well as I have cared for diabetic animals that need injections, seizure medication and eye meds. With my extensive background and love for animals I ensure I am always extremely attentive to their needs and behaviors. I’ve grown up with animals my whole life and any pet I care for, I treat it like my own. There is nothing more special than are furbabies and I want you to know that I will give them 110% care each and every time I care for them! I am a morning person and work from home. I have 1 young cat (who basically acts like a dog) in my home along with an 2 month old corgi pup and an 12 year old lab mix. Always make sure there are fresh, clean and filled water bowls! Sometimes on the weekend I will take them to a walking trail or dog park. I always ensure my pets are taken care of first and since I work from home it really allows me to cater my schedule around their needs. My animals are truly my world. Comfort is the most important part! A lot of our time is always great, off leash and the ability to be free and sniff around. I always keep and eye on the pets to make sure everyone is acting appropriately and behaving. I will send videos and pictures and make sure you are always kept in the loop on your pets status. I am also a very active person so enjoy going for walks and runs!
About: When I’m not boarding, walking, or doing doggy daycare I’m hanging out with my kiddos. Occasionally I also foster puppies at 8 weeks old and start the potty training process and prepare them to go to their furever home. Does your dogs like to sleep on the couch? Perfect! I do too! Do they prefer to sleep in bed with you at night? Not a problem, come on in! Does your dog need daily walks? You got it! I live on a quiet road off the beaten path. I tend to treat all animals with the respect and love I give my children and I teach my children the same morals. Pets aren’t just pets in my eyes, each dog has needs they need to have met and it’s my job to make that happen when they are in my care. During my high school years I spent my time after school volunteering at the local veterinary clinic assisting the vet techs preform their daily tasks. Growing up I worked on a dairy farm. I know how to administer medications, potty train, bathe, and trim nails. I’m a stay at home mom during the week so I am always home to give my furbabies all the love and attention they want. When I’m home and need to leave your pups will tag along with me through my daily routine and hangout with me. Or if they’d prefer to relax at home and have free range they can! I try to keep a potty and feeding schedule the same as when they are with you. I live in a lake house so if your pups love to swim then this is the place to be! I also have a decent size yard (unfenced) for playing. My two dogs will keep your furbaby company in a doggy sense. My children will also play with your babies so they will definitely have a lot of attention. Inside my house is baby proof so it is also dog proof. Do you want to FaceTime your dog while they are with me? Not a problem, call whenever. I will send pictures and updates throughout the day for you so you know they are okay. Your pets truly are treated like family in my care.

“Hannah was excellent. She responded to me quickly—very important when you have left your search til the last day. She was clear, always very nice, calming, and she checked to be sure that my dog, Frances, had a temperament which did not object to the presence of her, evidently mellow, two dogs and one cat—she was just very good at customer service. I felt very secure with my dog staying in her (and her husband’s) care. She (and they) obviously knows and cares for dogs. I had useful feedback from the visit (my dog was fine with her cat—(and dogs)—though she has had very little exposure to cats—so it appears vibes are what count with Frances. ) Hannah was friendly even when I changed my time plans on the actual day, oh-so-gently informing me she would definitely modify whenever she could, but she was dealing as well with other customers’ sometimes conflicting schedules. She was very good!”

“Alina was so fantastic! We spent a few minutes introducing our dogs on drop off. Then I was off and Daisy was taken on an awesome adventure walking all around Portsmouth. By the time I picked her up, Daisy, normally full of energy, had clearly had a good time and was ready for a nap, a rare sight.”

About: I have had a dog at least 20 years. We occasionally have a Labrador a week at a time, he has full run of the house. I do not work, so I am home most of the time. I do local Arts Markets, but those aren't long days. A dog would get lots of attention. I have a fenced in back yard that has plenty of room for playing. The house is one floor, which would be easier on older dogs.
“Becky is as close to perfect as one can get. She is thoughtful, caring, happy and reliable. Seriously do not know what we’d do without her to care for our very shy doggie - who can get into trouble now and then and she goes out of her way to help when we need, Thank you Becky 💛💛💛 Nothing but respect!”

About: I’ve owned and worked with dogs my whole life. I am the owner of a grooming salon and have worked in dog daycares as well as an animal hospital. We will treat your pups like our own! 🥰 We like to stick with what they are used to at home. Sleep on the bed? No prob! Snuggle on the couch? You got it! But if you have rules you are working on we are happy to help with those too. We have a large fenced in yard but the snow is high right now. So to be safe we are only taking dogs under 30 lbs. I have always specialized in senior dog care so if you have e an older buddy they are in good hands! ♥️Can’t wait to meet your pups! Also, we have 2 small dogs so yours must be ok with other pups. My husband and I both work from home so it’s easy for us to give the pups attention and care all day. Together we have plenty of time for walks, play, and snuggles! I have a large fenced in yard, but if you prefer walks that’s totally doable. I also have a Chinese crested mix and a Schnoodle who are very used to new dogs in the home. We also have baby chicks in the house until spring but they are in enclosures. In case your pup has a high prey drive, they can be moved to a safer area. 😆

About: I am very attentive and enjoy playing with them. I will treat every animal if it were my own. I also continue my education on dog care so to provide the best experience for your dog. To add..I am also experienced with cats as well. I feel I am a responsible person that would make sure all my clients and their pets needs are met. Love playing with and walking them as well as just chilling on the couch with them. I am also very attentive to their feeding needs and will follow strict instructions of owner.
“Jen was amazing in every way! She sent us regular updates and took great care of our pup while we were hiking for the day. We are excited to have our dog stay with her again!”

“They were incredible... My dog is going through a shy phase and they couldn't have been kinder with him. They sent pics throughout the day and updates and the home and the yard were perfect for a dog to have a super fun day. These are seriously good people and we'll be using them again whenever we're in the area. The perfect family to leave your furry loved one with.”

My husband, Zach, and I are lifelong animal lovers and understand how important it is to find a safe, loving place for your pet while you’re away. We live in a spacious home with both upstairs and downstairs areas, giving dogs plenty of room to relax and feel comfortable. I prefer well-trained, housebroken pets. Your dog’s safety, comfort, and happiness are always my top priorities. Dogs staying with us will enjoy regular walks and lots of attention. If your dog enjoys car rides, we can also go on adventures to local walking trails, parks, or other pet-friendly outings with your permission. Whether your pup prefers playtime, cuddles, or simply a quiet place to relax, we’ll do our best to make them feel right at home. We also have a cat named Phoebe. She is friendly but generally keeps to herself and stays out of the way of visiting pets. I provide frequent updates, photos, and communication so you can have peace of mind knowing your furry family member is being well cared for while you’re away. I look forward to meeting you and your pet! (Also if it a house sitting it will be me gabby who does those!) Pet care is my full-time profession, which means I have the flexibility to accommodate a wide range of schedules — including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and even last-minute requests when needed. I take pride in being dependable and responsive, so whether you need consistent daily visits or occasional check-ins while you’re away, I’m here to help. My goal is to make the process as smooth and stress-free as possible for both you and your pet. I understand that routines can change, and I’m happy to adjust accordingly to meet your needs. Just send me a message with your preferred schedule, and I’ll respond promptly to discuss availability and create a care plan tailored specifically to your pet. Your peace of mind and your pet’s well-being are always my top priorities. I look forward to working with you! When caring for your pet in your home, my top priority is to maintain a sense of consistency and security by following their established routine as closely as possible. I understand that pets thrive on familiarity — with their surroundings, feeding times, walking schedules, and the comforting rituals they’re used to. By preserving these routines, I help ensure that your pet feels safe, calm, and confident in your absence. I take the responsibility of entering someone’s home very seriously and treat every space with the utmost respect and discretion. I’m mindful of your home’s cleanliness, privacy, and any specific instructions you leave — from alarm codes and feeding schedules to favorite toys and bedtime habits. I also provide regular updates, including messages, photos, and notes about how your pet is doing, so you can feel connected and reassured while you’re away. Whether it’s administering medication, monitoring behavior, or offering extra snuggles to ease separation anxiety, I’m committed to giving your pet the highest level of care and attention. Above all, my goal is to create a trustworthy and stress-free experience — for both you and your pet — by providing compassionate, dependable care in an environment where they feel most at ease: home.

“Bri watched my pup on relatively short notice on a holiday weekend. She was very responsive, provided lots of updates and pictures, and overall took great care of my energetic girl, and we even went home with some homemade dog treats! I definitely recommend her!”

About: I have always had dogs but am currently without one after my 16-year-old golden retriever passed away. I am comfortable working with dogs of all ages, and understand how their needs, routines and personalities change throughout their lives. I live in a quiet community with beach access a short walk away. If you have a pup that loves to swim, go on adventures or walks, or simply spend time outside, I would be a great fit. While your away, you can be sure they too are enjoying a mini vacation. I can work from home so your dog will not be lonely during the day. There are some days I may not be home all day, but I will be sure to give them plenty of exercise with time to run, play or swim in the mornings, afternoons and evenings. I also have a life jacket for those dogs who are not strong swimmers or who may want a little extra support in the water. I've not crated any of my dogs, but if you are more comfortable with crating, I can accommodate that if you bring yours. I do not have a fenced in yard, but I do have a small side yard, access to trails and a beach so they will get plenty of time outside.
About: During the day, I am a full time homemaker. I can provide drop ins or boarding nearly any day during the week and also last minute. My son desires to earn spending cash. He's very responsible and will be supervised by me on all walks. He is looking to find 1-3 local families to Newburyport that he could come in the afterschool hours for walking, playing, feeding, etc. He is also available for weekends, puppy sitting/training, and energetic play time such as throwing a ball, going for runs, or long walks around the neighborhood. We have 1 (friendly) cat at home who has been around dogs in the past. She mainly just avoids them. We also have 2 (caged) rats that stay caged at all times. I’m currently working part time so I am very free to walk dogs and take care of cats along with both at once. All animals are welcome I have cameras and fences all around my yard I also have very nice neighbors who have fences and will always tell me if I’m missing a dog lol

“Courtney was wonderful! She was prompt and communicative. She was very considerate of my requests including Blue's hurt toe- so she took Blue on a shorter gentle walk and then gave her some fun time in the yard. I will definitely reach out to Courtney again!”

About: I have had pets my whole life and have been pet sitting for the past five years. I have come to know these pets that I have watched as family members, but have since moved back to California! I have experience with cats and dogs, both my own, and other people that I have watched as well as a few bunnies and even some rats! I am happy to help with cleaning around the house or small gardening activities if necessary during longer trips or anything else that might be necessary for someone to have a comfortable vacation! I hope I can be your go to pet sitter for years to come! I just moved back to the area so I have a part-time job at a winery till about 6 pm on Fridays and Saturdays, but can work around that (just ask!) or any other day of the week! I love making pets feel comfortable and sticking to their given routine. I feel that when the parents are out of town, it can be stressful so keeping things as normal as possible is incredibly important! It’s great to go on walks for dogs and just to have some time lounging around for cats playing with one of their toys. I have experience with mildly aggressive or reactive dogs and semi feral cats and know some tips and tricks to make them feel more comfortable and less scared upon meeting me for the first time.
“Ashley is so caring and thoughtful! She wants me and my dog to be comfortable, and really understands animals and thier needs. I feel very safe having my dog be taken care of by her! Thank you Ashley!”

My first part of the day i would love to fill by assisting and care for pet needs before i hop skip to my 2nd job i’m always one to monitor you little friend and spend quality time, building that trust and bond! they are called a man’s best friend for a reason
About: I have been taking care of dogs for a long time, from taking care of my own two dogs to helping out my friends and there pets. My family and friends trust me with there pets and all their needs, anything from walking their dogs to just cuddling with them! I am currently working part time Monday through Friday tell 10am. After that I am free the rest of the afternoon and evenings. On weekends I am generally free all day. In a clients home I will pay close attention to detail and what the client is expecting and trusting me with. I will respect the clients home and attend to their pets needs!
“Jennifer was amazing! She did a great job communicating with us. Our last night away, a tree fell across our street knocking down power lines and blocking her way. She went above and beyond making it through to care for our animals!”

About: I have been around dogs all of my life and I have grown up with Boxers. When I was in high school I would watch dogs in my town very frequently, from staying overnight to just walking and letting them out during the day. I currently work full time in Portsmouth. I work in the office M-F but I can make arrangements if your pet needs to be let out during the day. I am respectful and courteous of my clients homes. I clean up after myself and I always keep my clients updated during my stay by providing pictures and reaching out if needed.

“Hannah and her family were really great at taking care of my pup! I really appreciate her communicativeness and her flexibility. I had no concerns while she was taking care of my dog and would absolutely use her again for future boarding needs!”

“Suzanne was exactly what we were hoping for when we decided to try Rover. She was very flexible with some last minute change of plans and the communication was excellent. I would definitely use her again and absolutely recommend her to anyone that needs a responsible sitter for their dog(s).”
“Heidi is very responsive, friendly and affordable! She has a nice outdoor space for the dogs to roam around and play. She even sent me a couple videos and updates about my dog while he was in her care.”

“Emily was awesome! She took amazing care of Stormy and made us feel so comfortable while we were away with daily photo updates and great communication! We would 100% leave Stormy with her again!”

“Highly recommend! We have a 10 month old Irish Setter puppy and had her set to go to a kennel. We found the kennel was awful, but we had to leave her as we were heading out of the country the same day. I found Gabrielle and Sara through Rover and they responded immediately. They went over and picked up our girl first thing the next day and took great care of her for two weeks. I regularly received pictures and updates. She was well taken care of and happy pup when I returned home. I highly recommend them.”

“Our energetic Maddie had a great stay with Tony. We always try to board her with people that have other dogs so she can play and make friends. Tony had her alone, but still managed to get her walking and running off leash in a fenced in yard and kept her happy. He was very good about reaching out and sending pictures during her stay which is very reassuring. Not enough Rover people do that! Tony is highly recommended!”
